PATIENT MANUAL
Cardiophone is enhanced with Arrhythmia Detecon rmware which will capture
and automacally record and transmit asymptomac, infrequent, or elusive heart
arrhythmia events.
• In case of emergency call 911 or go to the nearest hospital
• DO NOT use accessories other than those provided by the manufacturer.
• DO NOT subject the device to water and liquid spillage. DO NOT clean with
alcohol, acetones or any other ammable chemical agents.
• DO NOT use with any loons.
• DO NOT place the device and its accessories under direct sunlight or in harsh
environments.
• DO NOT disassemble the Cardiophone; this may cause damage to the device.
PRECAUTIONS
• Paent leads must be removed from electrodes before debrillaon.
• Observe local laws for disposal of lithium baeries.
• Do not leave the baeries in the monitor when it is not in use.
• Damage from corrosion can occur, paent should avoid close proximity to heavy
electrical equipment or other sources of electromagnec interference.
• Device should be powered with manufacturer supplied baery packs only.
• Monitor is not for infant use.

1. Paent leads should be connected to
the electrodes.
2. Electrodes can be connected to the
paent. (See diagram below).
3. Insert the paent cable into the monitor.
4. Insert CardioPhone baeries.
5. The monitor is ready to record events.
HOW DO I TURN ON THE MONITOR?
HOW DO I CONNECT TO THE MONITOR?
1. Press the RECORD buon unl an audible beep
sound is heard.
2. “RECORDING” will ash in the upper le hand
corner of the display.
3. Hold sll during the recording, but connue
breathing.
4. The display will show that an event is stored in
the monitor, unl it’s sent automacally to our
monitoring centre.
*Aer a manual recording, enter a note into your
diary. It is very important in assisng your physician
in understanding your symptoms.
If the monitor detects a lead loss during this
recording, the monitor will produce an audible
sound unl the recording is complete.
WHAT DO I RECEIVE?

1. Remove the lead from the electrodes.
2. Wash and dry the skin.
3. Place the new electrodes close to the
original spot.
4. Connect the white contact to the
electrodes on the right side and the
red contact on the le side, as per the
diagram.
HOW DO I RECORD MY HEART RATE?
During the week or other duraon set by your physician to use the CardioPhone,
the monitor will record any abnormalies with the heart rhythm, 24 hours a day.
You can easily press record if you experience any cardiac symptoms such as:
• Heart palpitaons
• Shortness if breath
• Chest Pain
• Nausea
• Chest Tightness
• Dizziness
• Fluer
• Irregular Heartbeats
• Burning Sensaon
