Congratulations on your purchase of
the Caneld Brothers Nimble 9 frame.
This frame represents all of the thought
and engineering that Caneld Brothers
are known for from their full suspension
bikes to their hard tail frames. In this
owner’s manual, we will include some
helpful setup tips as well as a brief over-
view of the bike.
OVERVIEW:
TheCaneldBrothersNimble9wasde-
signedtobeafastrolling29’’wheeled
bike capable of handling almost any-
thingtheridercouldputitthrough.This
is a very versatile frame. The rider has
thechoiceofchangingthecharacter-
isticsofthebikethoughthevariousparts
choices. We have customers building
their Nimble 9 as a single-speed, a rig-
idforkrigandfully-geared120mmfork
bike.Therearealotofoptionsandthis
isagreatplatformtobuildfrom.Let’s

frame.
FRAME FEATURES:
4130CromolySteelconstruction:strong,
compliant and lasts a life time. The
framesreceiveanoiltreatmentonthe
insideoftheframetubesatthefactory.
Thishelpspreventrustformingonthe
insideofthetubingonthebaremetal
surfaces.Ifyouliveinanextremelywet
or humid area, we recommend seal-
ing the inside of your frame tubes with
a bicycle specic steel sealant. This is
standard procedure and should be
done to any steel frame in these envi-
ronments. The exterior of the frame is
powder coated. This means that the
exterior painted surfaces are baked in
toprovideastrongermoredurablen-
ish.Withthatsaid,thenishisnotbullet-
proofandshouldbetreatedwithcare.
HEAD TUBE:
TheNimble 9 has a 1 1/8’’headtube
designedtowork around a thread-less
headset.Thisgivesyoualotofheadset
optionsaswellasforkchoices.Allfork
heightsaremeasuredinaA-Cnumber.
This means axle to crown height. This
numberwillgiveyouanideaonthefork
height.Asyouincreaseforkheight,the
bbheightincreasesandtheheadtube
angledecreases. You have the ability
tonetunetheridecharacteristicsdra-
maticallybychangingtheforkheight.
SEAT TUBE:
The Nimble 9 requires a 27.2 mm seat
post and a 29.8 Or 30mm seat tube
clamp.

BOTTOM BRACKET:
73mm wide. Refer to the manufactur-
ers recommendations on spacing and
installation.
DROP OUTS:
This is an area where the consumer,
again,hasalotofchoices.TheNimble
9 features a sliding horizontal dropout
systems.Thisallowstheusertochoose
from either a geared drive train or a
singlespeeddrivesetup.Youcanalso
purchasepostmountdropoutsforyour
brake side and a single speed only
dropout without the derailleur hanger
integrated. These dropout options are
soldseparatelyfromtheCaneldBroth-
ers. Again, another way to customize
foryourNimble9frame.
FRONT DERAILLEUR:
The Nimble 9 accepts a direct mount
style front derailleur only. The advan-
tageofadirectmountstylefrontderail-
leur is the light weight and compatibly
withthereallyshortchainstaystheNim-
ble9isknowfor.
WARRANTY:
CaneldBrothersframesfeatureafull2
year warranty against all workmanship
anddefectsoftheframe.Ifsomething
shouldhappen toyour frameafterthe
2 year period, you have the option to
upgrade to a current frame design for
a nominal fee. Basically, at Caneld
