If you are using a Bubble Jet Printer for the first time ...
This Reference Guide describes the printer and shows you how to use the printer
driver.We recommend that you read the chapters in their order of presentation. First,
the most important parts and features of the printer are described, followed by
descriptions and procedures about how to use these features.
If you experience difficulty during printer operation,refer to“Chapter 6Troubleshooting”.
If you have a question about a procedure or a term,refer to the glossary of selected terms
at the end of this Reference Guide.
● ForWindows NT4.0/Windows 2000 Users
Instructions in this guide are prepared for Windows 98, Windows 95, and Windows
Me. If you are using Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000, refer to the BJ Printer Driver
Guide for Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 Users. To open the file, click the Start
button on the desktop, point to programs, click S800, and then click Guide.

Using Acrobat Reader
This is a brief explanation of how to use the buttons in the toolbar of Acrobat Reader.
In addition to the buttons provided on every page of this
Reference Guide, you can use the Acrobat Reader
toolbar buttons to browse pages. If you have further
questions, refer to the Acrobat Reader on-line Help.
●
Acrobat Reader toolbar buttons
Displays/hides the bookmarks and thumbnails.
• The bookmarks resemble a Table of
Contents. Click the small triangle in front of a
title to display the levels below.
Changes the pointer into a zoom tool. Every time
you click a page the image is enlarged.
• If you press and hold down the Ctrl key,
every time you click a page the image is
reduced.
Displays the first page.
Displays the previous page.
Displays the next page.
Displays the last page.
Returns to the previous page after jumping to a link.
Returns to the next page when reviewing jumps to
links.
Sets the zoom for the document to 100%
Makes the current page fit into the window.
Fits the visible width of the current page into the
window.
Opens the find dialog box.

Using the printer driver on-line Help
If you have a question about an option or procedure while you are using the printer
driver, or if you want to know more about a feature, follow the procedures below to
use the on-line Help.

Opening main on-line Help
On a sheet provided with a Help button,
click the button to open main on-line Help.
●
Using context help
Context help displays information
about an option on the screen. Click
the help button
in the upper right
corner of the dialog box then click the
option that you want to know more
about. The information is displayed in
a flyout.
