The CanoScan D1230UF USB Flatbed Scanner puts state-of-the-art, user-friendly
film scanning technology right on your desk.The Film Adapter Unit is built right
into the scanner lid, so you can easily scan slides, transparencies, film, photos and
text at a remarkable 1200 x 2400 dpi. Everything you need—from faster scanning
speeds and greater color bit depth to professional software—comes standard.

Scan 35mm slides and negatives, medium-format and 4" x 5" negatives and
transparencies, as well as photographs up to 8" x 10", by simply inserting your
item and pressing the external scan button.With its built-in backlight for scan-
ning film, the D1230UF scanner produces high-resolution scans automatically. In
fact, it features advanced 48-bit color technology, which enables it to recognize
more than 281 trillion possible colors for truly spectacular scanning results. And
because the D1230UF scanner achieves true optical resolution at 1200 x 2400
dpi, images are sharper, more dramatic and maintain their quality and detail
when enlarged.
Built-in Data Compression Transfer technology for greater speed.
The D1230UF scanner’s innovative Data Compression Transfer technology auto-
matically reduces file sizes, allowing faster transport of data over the USB cable
to your computer with absolutely no loss in quality.The file is automatically
restored to its full size when opened on your computer. And editing files is
easier than ever, using Adobe Photoshop LE software included in the box.This
professional-quality software features numerous tools to help you enhance
and manipulate photos and create great-looking projects.
