Introduction
The 8/12 or 10/15-Slot Desktop Charger Base provides power for charging up to 8,10,12 or 15 devices
depending on the model. The charging cradles hold the hand held devices and can be easily
mounted or removed of the base, by disconnecting the power cables placed in the front
of the base and clipping of the cradles.

This guide applies to the CarComm 8/12 and 10/12-Slot Desktop Chargers product range.
All CarComm devices are designed to be compliant with rules and regulations in locations they are sold and will be labeled as required.
Any changes or modifications to CarComm equipment, not expressly approved by CarComm could void the
user’s authority to operate the equipment. Declared maximum operating temperature: 40 °C.
Power Supply
Use of alternative power supply will invalidate any approvals given to this unit and may be dangerous.

Safety:

Only use the appliance and the accessories
for their intended purposes. Do not use the
appliance and the accessories for other
purposes than described in the manual.
Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
Do not use the appliance if any part or any
accessory is damaged or defective. If a part
or an accessory is damaged or defective,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer
or an authorised repair agent.
Do not use the appliance near bathtubs,
showers, basins or other vessels containing
water.
Do not immerse or clean the appliance
in/with water or other liquids. If the appliance
is immersed in water or other liquids,
do not remove the appliance with your hands.
Immediately remove the mains plug from
the wall socket. If the appliance is immersed
in water or other liquids, do not use the
appliance again.
Before use, always check that the mains
voltage is the same as the voltage on the
rating plate of the appliance.
The appliance is not intended to be
operated by means of an external timer
or separate remote-control system.
Connect the appliance to an earthed
wall socket. If necessary, use an earthed
extension cable of a suitable diameter
(at least 3 x 1 mm2).
For additional protection, install a residual
current device (RCD) with a rated residual
operating current that does not exceed
30 mA.

General safety
1. Make sure the power switch
on the back of the base is
switched off “0”.
2. A. Plug in the power cable on the back of the base.
B. Plug the power cable into the 230V power socket.
Turn on the power switch “1” (see step 1).

1. To insert a device, align the device with the cradle and
gently push the device into the cradle and onto the connector.
2. To remove a device from the cradle, gently pull the device till it
comes loose from the connector and slide the device out of the cradle.

Make sure that water cannot enter the
contact plugs of the mains cable and the
extension cable.
Always fully unwind the mains cable and
the extension cable.
Make sure that the mains cable does not
hang over the edge of a worktop and
cannot be caught accidentally or tripped
over.
Keep the mains cable away from heat,
oil and sharp edges.
Do not use the appliance if the mains
cable or the mains plug is damaged or
defective. If the mains cable or the mains
plug is damaged or defective, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or an
authorised repair agent.
Do not pull the mains cable to disconnect
the mains plug from the mains.
Disconnect the mains plug from the mains
when the appliance is not in use for
prolonged periods of time, before
assembly or disassembly and before
cleaning and maintenance.
Always connect the desktop charger to an
electrical outlet which has a minimum
power rating of 16A.
