information, reading sensor values, and testing the con-
densing unit. The scrolling marquee display is a 4-key,
4-character, 16-segment LED (light-emitting diode) display.
Eleven mode LEDs are located on the display as well as an
Alarm Status LED. The display shows all of the
ComfortLink control codes (with 60-character expandable
clear language), plus set points, time of day, temperatures,
pressures, and superheat. Additional information can be
displayed all at once with the accessory Navigator™
display. If scrolling marquee display is not used, the Navi-
gator or alternate means of of display will be required for
comissioning and servicing of the unit.
Packaging options include bottom skid with standard
coil protection and bottom skid, top crate with bag. Stan-
dard coil protection is also included on all unit packaging.
Energy management module (EMM) provides energy
management capabilities to minimize condensing unit
energy consumption. The EMM is also available as a field-
installed accessory.
Field-installed accessories
Vibration isolation pads reduce vibration transmission
from the compressor through the floor and into the condi-
tioned space. The neoprene isolator pads measure 1/4in.
thick (24 in. x 3 in.).
Long line length check valves are required for liquid
line installation on all linear line length applications
of more than 100 ft (30.5 m). For any 025-030 size dual-
circuit unit application where evaporator is located higher
than the condensing unit, check valves are required for lin-
ear line length above 55 ft (16.8 m). The check valve op-
tion prevents charge migration to compressor. Check
valves are also available as a factory-installed option.
Motormaster®V low-ambient control provides con-
trol of outdoor-fan motor operation to maintain head pres-
sure at low outdoor ambient temperatures down to 20 F
( 29 C) for 50 and 60 Hz units. Only one field-installed
low ambient temperature kit per unit is required. This ac-
cessory also requires field-installed wind baffles. The
Motormaster V low-ambient control is also available as a
factory-installed option.
Navigator™ display module provides a portable, hand
held display module for convenient access to unit status,
operation, configuration and troubleshooting diagnostics
capability. The 4-line, 80-character LCD (liquid crystal
display) display provides clear language information in
English, French, Spanish or Portuguese. The weatherproof
enclosure and industrial grade extension cord make the
Navigator module ideally suited for outdoor applications.
Magnets located on the back of the module allow
attachment of any sheet metal component for hands free
operation. Navigator display, or alternate means of dis-
play, is required if scrolling marquee is not provided with
unit.
Energy management module provides energy
management capabilities to minimize condensing unit
energy consumption. The EMM is also available as a
factory-installed option.
BACnet* translator control provides an interface be-
tween the unit and a BACnet Local Area Network (LAN,
i.e., MS/TP EIA-485).
LON (local operating network) translator control
provides an interface between the unit and a local operat-
ing network (i.e., LonWorks†FT-10A ANSI/EIA-709.1).
Remote enhanced display accessory kit contains a
remotely mounted 40-character per line, 16-line display
panel for unit diagnostics.
Touch Pilot™ display is a cost-effective, touch-screen,
remote-mount device that can be used in lieu of the remote
enhanced display.
Compressor sound blankets reduce unit sound levels
by providing an acoustic blanket on each compressor.
Compressor blankets are also available as factory-installed
option.
Security grilles/hail guards consist of louvered, sheet
metal panels which securely fasten to the unit and provide
condenser coil protection against hail and physical dam-
age. Security grilles/hail guards are also available as a
factory-installed option.
Low sound fans provide a specially designed system of
fan propellers and stacks that reduce sound without reduc-
ing unit performance. The field-installed fan accessory is
compatible with the Motormaster V option. Low sound
fans are also available as factory-installed option.
Wind baffles facilitate operation down to –20 F (–29 C)
when used in conjunction with low ambient temperature
head pressure control.
