Please make sure that your house nstallat on voltage
corresponds to the voltage marked on the un t.

BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Your CASCADE Sandw ch Maker has left the factory n
good work ng order n th s carton for your protect on.
Should the carton be damaged or f the product s
dropped, damaged, has a malfunct on n any way, or f
the flex ble cord s damaged, mmed ately contact your
reta ler for replacement or repa r.
2. Carefully unpack your CASCADE appl ance. Make sure
you do not d scard any packag ng mater al unt l all
parts of the appl ance have been found.
3. Carefully w pe the exter or of the appl ance w th a damp
cloth to remove any dust that may have accumulated.
Dry w th a dry towel. Do not use abras ve cleaners.
WARNING Do not mmerse n water or any other
l qu ds.
4. Wash the accessor es n warm soapy water. Dry w th a
dry towel.
5. The appl ance s now ready for operat on.
O ERATION
•Before us ng the appl ance for the f rst t me, or after long
per ods of storage, clean the appl ance thoroughly. (See
BEFORE FIRST USE.)
•Always place the appl ance on a flat, clean and non-sl ppery
surface before operat ng t.
•Always place the appl ance on a heat res stant surface as
the appl ance reaches h gh temperatures.
•WARNING always leave a gap of approx mately 20 cm
around the exter or of appl ance. Never use near curta ns,
walls, under cupboards or other flammable mater als.
•Plug the power cord nto a su table ma ns outlet
correspond ng to the supply requ rements of your
appl ance.
Ma ns supply: 230-240V ∼50Hz – AC only
•Your CASCADE sandw ch maker s now ready for use.
•Plug the sandw ch maker nto an AC power outlet and
ensure that the nd cator l ght comes on nd cat ng that
power s ava lable.
•Close the sandw ch maker and prepare sandw ch wh le the
appl ance s heat ng.
•When the sandw ch maker s ready (after about 5 m nutes)
the nd cator l ght w ll go off. The green nd cator w ll l ght
to nd cate the appl ance s ready.
•Fully open the sandw ch maker, place a sl ce of bread n the
bottom half w th the buttered s de aga nst the plate.
•Place f ll ng on top of bread. Keep f ll ng about 10mm clear
of edge of bread so that the out s de edges can be sealed.
•Place top sl ce of bread w th the buttered s de up and
carefully close the two parts of the appl ance. Do not force
the appl ance shut as steam may be ejected from between
the plates r sk ng burn ng of f ngers.
•NOTE: Dur ng toast ng the nd cator l ghts w ll cycle “on”
and “off” wh le the thermostat keeps the sandw ch maker
at the correct operat ng temperature.
•Your sandw ch w ll take between 2-5 m nutes to cook
depend ng on f ll ng and requ red result.
•Open the sandw ch maker and remove the sandw ch. Use a
plast c or wooden spatula. Never use a metal kn fe as th s
may damage the non-st ck coat ng.
•Prepare further sandw ches f requ red wh lst one s
cook ng. After use, remove the plug from the wall socket.
•NOTE The f rst t me you use your appl ance, there may be
a small amount of smoke and smell. Th s s normal. It s
due to a protect ve coat ng, placed on the heat ng
elements, to protect the heat ng elements dur ng sh pp ng.
•WARNING Do not touch hot surfaces.
CLEANING AND CARING
•After use and before clean ng, remove plug, wa t for
sandw ch maker to cool.
•W pe the ns de and edges of the plate w th absorbent
paper towel ng or a soft cloth.
•Should f ll ng be d ff cult to remove, pour a l ttle cook ng o l
onto the plate and w pe off after 5 m nutes, when the food
has softened.

•W pe the outs de w th only a sl ghtly mo stened cloth
ensur ng that no mo sture, o l or grease enter the
appl ance.
•Do not clean the ns de or outs de w th any abras ve
scour ng pad or steel wool as th s w ll damage the f n sh.
TO STORE: Do not store unt l appl ance has completely
cooled. Store n ts box or n a dry place. Store the cord loosely
co led. Never wrap t t ghtly around the un t. Do not put any
stress on cord where t enters the appl ance as th s may cause
the cord to fray and poss bly break.
IM ORTANT SAFEGUARDS

1. Carefully read these nstruct ons before us ng your
appl ance.
2. CAUTION Keep out of reach of ch ldren. Th s appl ance
s not ntended for use by young ch ldren or nf rm
persons. Young ch ldren must be superv sed to ensure
that they do not play w th the appl ance.
3. Safely d spose of plast c bags and other components of
the packag ng. They may be potent ally dangerous to
ch ldren.
4. VERY IMPORTANT Do not mmerse n water or other
l qu ds or use near washbas ns or s nks. Ensure that
the appl ance does not get wet (water splashes etc.)
and do not use t w th wet hands.
5. Unplug from ma ns outlet when appl ance s not n use,
before attach ng or remov ng accessor es, and before
clean ng.
6. An appl ance dropped or damaged should not be used
unt l exam ned by a serv ce eng neer.
7. Do not perm t the ma ns lead to come n contact w th
hot objects.
8. If the supply cord s damaged, t must be replaced by
the manufacturer or ts serv ce agent or a s m larly
qual f ed person n order to avo d a hazard.
9. Use th s appl ance only for ts ntended use. Use only
genu ne attachments suppl ed by an author sed
Serv ce-Dealer.
10. The appl ance should not be used outdoors, placed near
a hot gas or electr cal burner or placed n a heated
oven.
11. Do not let the cord hang over edge of table or counter.
12. WARNING An appl ance should never be left unattended
when plugged n.
13. Th s appl ance s ntended for household use only and
not for commerc al or ndustr al use.
14. WARNING Do not touch hot surfaces.

non-compl ance w th these nstruct ons or any other

Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato
4 Sl ces Wh te Bread
1 Tomato, Sl ced
Few P eces of Lettuce
4 Th n Sl ces Bacon
Softened Butter
Spread one s de of the bread w th softened butter, put two
sl ces on the sandw ch maker, buttered s de down. Arrange
the tomato, chopped lettuce and gr lled bacon on top.
Cover w th the other sl ces of bread, buttered s de up.
Toast for four m nutes.
Scrambled Eggs and Bacon
4 Th n Sl ces Bacon
4 Sl ces Wh te Bread
Softened Butter
2 Tablespoons M lk
Salt and Pepper
1 Large Egg
½ Oz Butter
Gr ll the Bacon and cut nto p eces. Scramble the egg w th
butter, m lk and season ng unt l l ghtly set. Spread one s de
of the bread w th softened butter, put two sl ces on the
sandw ch maker, buttered s de down. Arrange the
scrambled egg and bacon on top and cover w th the other
sl ces of bread, buttered s de up. Toast for four m nutes.

two years from the date of purchase with proof of purchase. The obligation to the
purchaser under this warranty is limited to servicing the unit and replacing defective
