BE ORE IRST USE
•Your CASCADE a liance has been ackaged carefully to
ensure the roduct reaches you in good condition. If the
roduct has been damaged, dro ed, has a malfunction in
any way, or if the su ly cord is damaged, immediately
contact your retailer for re lacement or re air.
•Carefully un ack your CASCADE a liance. Make sure you
do not discard any ackaging material until all arts of the
a liance have been found.
•Remove any label or sticker. Carefully wi e the exterior of
the a liance to remove any dust that may have
accumulated. Dry with a dry towel. Do not use harsh
abrasive cleaners.
WARNING! Do not immerse in water or any other liquids.
OPERATION
•Always lace the a liance on a level non-sli ery stable
surface.
•Always lace the a liance on a heat resistant surface, as
the a liance will reach high tem eratures.
•WARNING! DO NOT LEAVE ON WHILE UNATTENDED.
•WARNING! Always leave a ga of a roximately 20 cm
around the exterior of a liance when on. Never use near
curtains, under cu boards or near walls, or other
flammable material.
•WARNING! DO NOT LET SUPPLY CORD HANG OVER
THE EDGE O ANY BENCH OR TABLETOP. THERE MAY
BE A RISK O SCALDING OR OTHER INJURY SHOULD
YOUNG CHILDREN PULL THE APPLIANCE ROM THE
BENCH OR TABLETOP.

•Plug the sandwich maker into an AC ower outlet and turn
on. Ensure that the RED indicator light comes on indicating
that ower is available.
•Close the sandwich maker and re are sandwich while the
a liance is heating.
•When the sandwich maker is ready (after about 5 minutes)
the GREEN indicator light will glow, to indicate the
a liance is ready.
•Fully o en the sandwich maker, lace a slice of bread in the
bottom half with the buttered side against the late.
•Place filling on to of bread. Kee filling about 10mm clear
of the edge of the bread so the surrounding edges can be
sealed.
•Place to slice of bread with the buttered side u and
carefully close the sandwich maker. Do not force the
a liance shut as steam may be ejected from between the
lates, which may burn fingers.
•NOTE: During toasting the GREEN ready indicator light will
turn “on” and “off” while the thermostat kee s the
sandwich maker at the correct o erating tem erature.
•Your sandwich will take between 2-5 minutes to cook
de ending on the filling you choose and the required result.
•O en the sandwich maker and remove the sandwich. Use
a lastic or wooden s atula. Never use a metal knife as
this may damage the non-stick coating.
•Remove the lug from the wall socket after use.
NOTE: The first time you use your a liance; there may be a
small amount of smoke and odor. This is normal and is due to
the heating of a rotective coating, laced on the heating
elements, to rotect the heating elements during shi ing.

SANDWICH MAKER RECIPES
Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato
4 Slices White Bread
4 Thin Slices of Bacon
1 Tomato - Sliced
Lettuce Leaves - Cho ed
Softened Butter
S read one side of the bread with softened butter, ut two
slices on the sandwich maker, buttered side down. Arrange
the tomato, cho ed lettuce and grilled bacon on to . Cover
with the other slices of bread, buttered side u . Toast for four
minutes.
Scrambled Eggs and Bacon
4 Slices White Bread
4 Thin Slices of Bacon
1 Large Egg
2 Tables oons Milk
½ Oz Butter
Softened Butter
Salt and Pe er
Grill the Bacon and cut into ieces. Scramble the egg with
butter, milk and seasoning until lightly set. S read one side of
the bread with softened butter, ut two slices on the sandwich
maker, buttered side down. Arrange the scrambled egg and
bacon on to and cover with the other slices of bread, buttered
side u . Toast for four minutes.

CLEANING AND CARING
•Always allow your a liance to com letely cool down before
final cleaning. WARNING! Never immerse your a liance in
water or other liquids.
•Wi e the interior lates and edges with absorbent tissues,
a er toweling or a soft cloth.
•Wi e the exterior of the a liance with a warm soft dam
cloth. Dry with a dry towel.
•Do not use harsh abrasives as they may damage any
lastic, non-stick surface or the exterior finish. WARNING!
DO NOT USE ANY SHARP INSTRUMENT OR ABRASIVE
CLEANING PAD TO CLEAN THE NON-STICK SURFACES.
•Should any filling overflow onto the cooking lates and be
difficult to remove, our a little cooking oil onto the late
and wi e off after a roximately 5 minutes when food
items have softened.
•Store your a liance in its original box or in a dry
cu board.

IMPORTANT SA EGUARDS
When using electrical a liances, basic safety recautions
should always be followed including the following:
1. Carefully read these instructions before using your
a liance.
2. VERY IMPORTANT: Do not immerse in water or other
liquids or use near washbasins or sinks. Ensure that
the a liance does not get wet (water s lashes etc.)
and do not use if hands are wet.
3. Safely dis ose of lastic bags and other com onents of
the ackaging. They may be otentially dangerous to
children.
4. WARNING! Un lug from mains outlet when cleaning or
a liance is not in use.
5. An a liance dro ed or damaged should not be used
until examined by a service engineer.
6. Do not ermit the mains lead to come in contact with
hot objects.
7. If the su ly cord is damaged, it must be re laced by
the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly
qualified erson in order to avoid a hazard.
8. CAUTION: Kee out of reach of children. This a liance
is not intended for use by young children or infirm
ersons. Young children must be su ervised to ensure
that they do not lay with the a liance
9. Use this a liance only for its intended use. Use only
genuine attachments su lied by an authorised Service
Dealer.
10. This a liance is intended for household use only and
not for commercial or industrial use.

11. The a liance should not be used outdoors, laced near
a hot gas or electrical burner or laced in a heated
oven.
12. WARNING! Do not let the cord hang over edge of table
or counter. There may be a risk of someone getting
burnt if the roduct is ulled of its surface.

unattended when lugged in.
14. WARNING! Hot cooking lates. Do not touch hot
surfaces.
15. WARNING! Always lace the a liance on a heat
resistant surface, as the roduct may emit high
tem eratures.
16. WARNING! Ensure adequate ventilation; kee an o en
s ace of a roximately 20 cm all around the a liance.
17. WARNING! Do not use the a liance near flammable
materials such as curtains, or other combustible
material.
18. If a liance is to be used by a third arty, lease su ly
the instruction manual with it.
19. No liability can be acce ted for any damage caused by
non-com liance with these instructions or any other
im ro er use or mishandling.
