for Crown RC5500 Truck
This manual provides instructions for Cascade TFC™
Hydraulic Connection Kit 6859795 for Crown RC5500 Truck.
The kit includes a manifold, mounting hardware, hoses and
fittings.
1Make sure all other (non-TFC) clamp system relief valves
are removed or adjusted out of the system by setting them
to their maximum setting.
2Disable the driver clamp pressure selection option and
make sure that system pressure for the auxiliary clamp
circuit is set to maximum pressure (2300 psi minimum).
3Verify that the auxiliary clamp circuit flow is set to between
10 gpm and maximum flow.
4Mount the TFC valve on the chassis inside left wall above
the wheel. Position the valve with the coil to the back and
TANK port on top. Use the supplied M8 fasteners.
NOTE: It is easiest to connect the valve driver and
electrical harness to the coil at this time.
NOTE: The mast hose in this kit is for most 154 in./71in.
lift/collapsed masts and it replaces Crown hose Part
No. 064362-024. For other mast heights, consult Crown
Engineering.

5Remove the truck valve assembly cover. Remove the
inside mast hose 064362-024 from port A2A. Replace the
hose with kit hose 6859810 (leave the hose end connecting
to port A2A disconnected for the moment).
6Remove adaptor fitting 064396-007 from port A2A in
manifold assembly 2HF part no. 145789. Replace with kit
fitting 641404 (straight No. 6 SAE O-ring to No. 6 JIC).
7Mount short hose 6859808 and manifold block 6859749.
Install the ORFS fitting to the manifold. Connect the mast
hose. Connect hose 6859810.
8Using provided fittings in the best orientation and optional
configuration, connect the long hoses from the manifold
block to the TFC valve. Loop the hoses to accommodate
movement during mast tilting. The lower manifold block
port connects to the CLAMP IN port on the TFC valve. The
upper manifold block port connects to the CLAMP OUT
port on the TFC valve as shown.
9Using the Return to Tank kit provided, connect the TANK
port on the TFC Valve to the DOWN STREAM side of the
return line filter (to eliminate the variable effects of filter
back pressure).

10 Secure all wires and hoses. Pressure test the system before
returning to service (see TFC Manual for details….). Note
that it takes several minutes of running the system to work
in the proportional valve and remove air from the system
