WhatisSelectiveCatalyticReduction(SCR)?
YourCASECONSTRUCTIONmachineisequippedwithadditionalcomponentstocomplywithnationalandlocal
exhaustemissionsrequirements.ThemaincomponentsoftheSCRsystemincludetheSCRcatalyst,theDiesel
ExhaustFluid(DEF)/AdBlue®injectionunit,theDEF/ADBLUE®tank,andtheDEF/ADBLUE®dosingcontrolunit.
HowdoesSelectiveCatalyticReduction(SCR)work?
Duringcombustion,harmfulNitrogenOxide(NOx)moleculesareformedintheexhaust.ByinjectingaDEF/ADBLUE®
solutionintotheexhaustpriortoacatalyst,theNOxcanbeconvertedtoharmlesselementalNitrogenandwater.This
happenswhentheNOxmoleculesreactinsidethecatalystwiththeheatgeneratedbytheengineandtheammonia
intheDEF/ADBLUE®solution.
NOTICE:Prolongedidlingofthemachinewithnoloadformorethan6hwillcausedamagetotheSCRcatalyst.
Duringcoldengineoperationatlowenginecoolantandambientairtemperatures,watervaporwillbevisiblefromthe
exhaust.Thiswatervaporwillresemblesteamorlightwhitesmoke,andwilldissipateastheengineandmachine
componentswarm.Thiswatervaporisconsiderednormal.
NOTE:Afterengineshutdown,theSCRsystemwillperformapurgecycle,whichpermitsthesupplymoduletocon-
tinuetorunforupto70seconds.Thisisconsiderednormalandrequiresnoactionfromtheoperator.

isdesigned,builtandequippedsoastoconformwithUSEnvironmentalProtectionAgency(EPA)regulations
applicableatthetimeofmanufactureandthatitisfreefromdefectsinworkmanshipormaterialwhichwould
causeitnottomeettheseregulationsforaperiodof:
•2yearsor1,500hoursofoperation,whicheveroccursrst,forengineslessthan19kW(25Hp)
•5yearsor3,000hoursofoperation,whicheveroccursrst,forenginesgreaterthanorequalto19kW(25Hp)
NOTE:ThiswarrantyappliestoallunitsoperatedintheUnitedStatesorCanada.
Coverage
Themodelyear,classofdieselengine,andemissionapplicationdeterminationforyourengineareidentiedonthe
EmissionControlInformationLabel.Thislabelisafxedtooneofthefollowingareasoftheengine:thetopofen-
gine'srockerarmcover,theright-handsideoftheoilpan,andtheright-handsideoftheenginefrontgearcover.
Thewarrantyperiodbeginsonthedatethenewequipmentissoldtotherstretailpurchaser.Thepresenceofthe
emissioncontrollabelistheindicationthattheengineconformstotheapplicablestandards.Anyemissioncontrol
systempartswhichareprovendefectiveduringnormalusewillberepairedorreplacedduringthewarrantyperiod.
TheengineownerhasresponsibilitytoperformalltherequiredmaintenancelistedintheOwner'sManual.CASE

•Repairsarisingfromstoragedeterioration,failuretomaintaintheequipment,negligence,alteration,improperuse
oftheequipment,collisionorotheraccident,vandalism,orothercasualty,oroperationbeyondratedcapacityor
specication.
•Repairsarisingfromabuseorneglect,includingbutnotlimitedto:operationwithoutadequatecoolantorlubricants,
adjustmentstothefuelsystemoutsideequipmentspecications,over-speeding,improperstorage,starting,warm-
up,orshutdownpractices,incorrectfuelorcontaminatedfuel,oilorotheruids.
•Normalmaintenanceservices,suchasenginetune-ups,enginefuelsystemcleaning,checks,adjustments,shim-
ming,etc.
•Itemsreplacedduetocustomerdemand.
•Laborchargesperformedbyanyoneexceptadealerauthorizedbycontracttorepairtheequipment,unlessthey
qualifyunderspecialprovisions(i.e.outsidelabor).
•Anyandalltravelcostsforitemssuchastowing,servicecalls,ortransportingaunittoandfromtheplacewhere
thewarrantyserviceisperformed.
•Normalmaintenancecosts,includingbutnotlimitedto:lubricants,coolants,uids,fuel,lters,andassociatedlabor.
Lubricants,lters,andcoolantsmayqualifyforwarrantyreimbursementiftheyrequirereplacementasaDIRECT
RESULTofadefectinmaterialorworkmanship.
•Claimsinvolvingtheinspectionorreconditioningofunitsafterstorageorprioruse.
•RepairsarisingfromserviceperformedbyagentsnotapprovedbyCASECONSTRUCTION.
•Repairsarisingfromanyunauthorizedmodicationtotheproductortheuseofnon-CASECONSTRUCTIONparts,
implementsorattachments.
•Removal,replacement,orinstallationofnon-CASECONSTRUCTIONoptionalequipment,attachmentsorcom-
ponents.
•Premiumschargedforovertimelaborcostsoroutofshopexpenses.
•Economiclossincludinglostprots,croploss,equipmentrental,orotherexpense.
•Unauthorizedmodicationorupdatingmachineswithoutawarrantablefailure.
•Anyandallcostsofdealershopsuppliesincurredwithrepairs,includingbutnotlimitedto:solvents,cleaners,
anti-seizelubricants,loctite,sealant,adhesive,oil-dry,shoptowels,etc.
•Failureofthemachine,itsimplementsorattachmentscausedbyimpropereldapplicationorloading.
•Anyandallcostsforcoolant,fuel,orlube(oil)analysisincludingsuppliesandlabrecommendations.
•Costassociatedwithcleaningofmachineinpreparationforservicing.
