Auto Time Display
You can configure the Animation Mode so it automatically displays the current time (as
kept in the Timekeeping Mode) for about three seconds whenever you angle it
towards your face for reading, as shown in the illustration below.
•Be sure to wear the watch on the outside of your left wrist while using auto time
display.

Moving the watch to a position that is parallel to the ground and then tilting it
towards you more than 40 degrees causes the watch to display the current time
automatically.
•See “Auto Time Display Precautions”for other important information.
To turn auto time display on and off
1. Use Cto enter the Animation Mode.
2. In the Animation Mode, hold down Afor about one
second to toggle auto time display on (ON displayed)
and off (OFF displayed).
•The display returns to the animation screen
automatically after about one second.

World Time
World Time shows the current time in 30 cities (27 time
zones) around the world.
•All of the operations in this section are performed in the
World Time Mode, which you enter by pressing C.
To view the time for another city code
In the World Time Mode, press Dto scroll through city
codes (time zones).
•For full information about city codes, see the “City Code
Table”.
•If the current time shown for a city is wrong, check your
Timekeeping Mode time and Home City code settings
and make the necessary changes.
To toggle a city code time between Standard Time and Daylight Saving Time
1. In the World Time Mode, use Dto display the city code
(time zone) whose Standard Time/Daylight Saving Time
setting you want to change.
2. Hold down Afor about one second to toggle between
Daylight Saving Time (DST displayed) and Standard
Time (DST not displayed).
•The DST indicator is on the display whenever you
display a city code for which Daylight Saving Time is
turned on.
•Note that the DST/Standard Time setting affects only the
currently displayed city code. Other city codes are not
affected.
Alarm
When the daily alarm is turned on, the alarm tone sounds
when the alarm time is reached.
You can also turn on an Hourly Time Signal (:00) that
causes the watch to beep twice every hour on the hour.
•All of the operations in this section are performed in the
Alarm Mode, which you enter by pressing C.
Alarm Operation
The alarm tone sounds at the preset time for about 10 seconds, regardless of the
mode the watch is in. If the watch is in the Timekeeping Mode, Animation Mode, or
Alarm Mode when an alarm starts to sound, an animation pattern also appears on the
display along with the alarm.
•To stop the alarm tone after it starts to sound, press any button. Stopping the alarm
also stops the animation associated with it.
To test the alarm
In the Alarm Mode, hold down Dto sound the alarm.
•Note that pressing Dto test the alarm also cycles through the daily alarm and
Hourly Time Signal settings described below.
To turn the Daily Alarm and Hourly Time Signal on and off
In the Alarm Mode, press Dto cycle through the on and
off settings as shown below.

•The alarm on indicator flashes while the alarm is
sounding.
•The alarm on indicator and Hourly Time Signal on
indicator are displayed in all modes.
Countdown Timer
You can set the countdown timer within a range of one
minute to 60 minutes. The countdown starts automatically
as soon as you set a countdown start time. An alarm
sounds when the countdown reaches zero.
•All of the operations in this section are performed in the
Countdown Timer Mode, which you enter by pressing
C.
To use the countdown timer
Use Dto set the countdown start time you want. The countdown will start
automatically about one second after you set a time.
•Each press of Dincreases the start time by one minute.
•Pressing Dwhile a countdown is in progress increases the currently displayed time
by one minute.
•When the end of the countdown is reached, the alarm sounds for 10 seconds or until
you stop it by pressing any button.
•The countdown timer measurement operation continues even if you exit the
Countdown Timer Mode.
•Press Ato stop the countdown and return to the countdown start time to all zeros.
•If the watch is in the Timekeeping Mode, Animation Mode, or Countdown Timer
Mode when the end of a countdown is reached, an animation pattern also appears
on the display along with the alarm.
Stopwatch
The stopwatch lets you measure elapsed time, split times,
and two finishes.
•The display range of the stopwatch is 59 minutes,
59.99 seconds.
•The stopwatch continues to run, restarting from zero
after it reaches its limit, until you stop it.
•The stopwatch measurement operation continues even
if you exit the Stopwatch Mode.
•Exiting the Stopwatch Mode while a split time is frozen
on the display clears the split time and returns to
elapsed time measurement.
•All of the operations in this section are performed in the
Stopwatch Mode, which you enter by pressing C.

•The time on the screen may not appear to stop immediately when you press a
button to stop timing or to perform a split operation. Despite this, the time recorded
by your button operation is accurate.
To set an alarm time
1. In the Alarm Mode, hold down Auntil the hour setting
of the alarm time starts to flash, which indicates the
setting screen.
•This operation automatically turns on the alarm.
2. Press Cto move the flashing between the hour and
minutes.
3. While a setting is flashing, use D(+) and B(–) to
change it.
•With the 12-hour format, set the time correctly as a.m.
