found damaged in any way,
immediately cease use of the
applianceand return unit

This TS 4010 Toaster is electronically controlled and will not lock down into the toast position until
the toaster is plugged into a230 volt power point and switched on.

OPERATING YOUR TS 4010 TOASTER
• Before rst use, removeany promotional
material attached to your toaster.
• Insert thepower plug into a230 volt
power outlet and then turn thepower on.
• Placeup to 2 slices of bread, muns or
bagelsinto thebread slots.
• Selectthedesired browning setting using
thebrowning control dial. Colour settings
rangefrom‘1’ lightest to ‘9’darkest.
• When using thetoaster for therst time,
wesuggest you toast on setting No. 4.
Varying types of bread and personal
preferencemay require adierent
browning setting, eg: raisin toast and
white lighttextured breadsmay require
alower setting, whilst heavier textured
ryebreadsmay require adarker setting.
The toaster will remember your desired setting.
When the power is turned o to the toaster,
the digital control will default to your original
desired setting when next switched on.
NOTE
• Press thehigh lift lever downuntil it
clicksinto place. Toasting cyclewill
automatically commence. Asthetoasting
cycleprogresses theLCD display will
count downand thetoasting progress
indicator bars will goout until toasting is
complete.
If the toaster is not plugged in and switched on
at the power outlet, the high lift lever will not
click into place.
NOTE
„Lift and Look“
• TheTS 4010 Toaster hasa‘Lift and Look’
feature which does not interruptthe
cooking cycle. Tocheck on thetoasting
progression during thecooking cycle,
simply use thehigh lift lever to raise and
lower toast.
• Thetoaster turns owhen the
desired toast colour is achieved and
automatically raises thetoast. The
toasting process canbestopped atany
timeby pressing the‘Cancel’button
located on thesideof thetoaster.
When the toasting cycle is complete, the toaster
will ‘beep’ to indicate that the toast is ready. No
need to wait while the toast cooks.
NOTE
„High Lift“
Toremovesmaller itemssuch ascrumpets
and muns, lift thehigh lift lever
approximately 20mm abovethestarting
position.
In theunlikely event thatthebread or
crumpet becomes jammed, switch the
power oatthepower outlet. Removethe
power plug from thepower outlet and then
carefully ease thebread out of thetoaster,
ensuring thatyou donot damagethe
element.
DO NOT LEAVE UNATTENDED WHEN IN USE AS TOAST MAY JAM.

Toasting frozen bread
Totoast frozen bread, placethebread
into thetoasting slots, selectthedesired
browning setting, lower thehigh lift lever
until it clicksinto placethen press thedefrost
button, this will extend cooking time. The
lightwill illuminate behind thedefrost
button when selected.
Reheating toast
This function allowsyou to reheattoast
without additional toasting. Toreheat, place
toast into toasting slots, lower thehigh
lift lever until it clicksinto placeand press
thereheatbutton. Thelightwill illuminate
behind thereheatbutton when selected.
Toasting crumpets
This function adjusts heating elements to
perfectly toast golden crumpets without
burning thebottom. Totoast crumpets, place
crumpets into toasting slots with thetops
facing inwardstoward themiddleof the
toaster. Lower thehigh lift lever until it clicks
into placeand press thecrumpet setting.
This setting when activated adjusts the
heating elements to produceadditional heat
to thecentre elements to cook thetop of
your crumpet faster thanthebottom. The
lightwill illuminate behind thecrumpet
button when selected.
Crumpets must always face inwards towards
the middle of the toaster. The toaster always
reverts back to the bread toast setting after
each toasting cycle, unless the crumpet control
setting is activated again.
NOTE
Extender for toasting bakery
Put theextender onto thetoasting slots and
placethebread thatyou would
liketo toast. Selectthedesired browning
setting and lower thehigh lift
lever until it clicksinto theplace. Toasting
starts automatically. During
thetoasting, theLCD illumination showsthe
countdownof toasting process.
Assoon astheprocess hasbeen nished, the
illumination will disappear.
NEVER ATTEMPT TO EXTRACT JAMMED TOAST, CRUMPETS OR MUFFINS
OR ANY OTHER ITEM WITH AKNIFE OR ANY OTHER OBJECT, AS CONTACT
WITH LIVE ELEMENTS MAY NOT ONLY DAMAGE THE ELEMENT, BUT CAUSE
ELECTROCUTION.

CARE AND CLEANING
• Thecrumb tray should becleaned out
regularly. Donot allow breadcrumbsto
accumulate in thebottom of thetoaster.
• Alwaysswitch thepower oattheoutlet
and then removetheplug from the
outlet before cleaning thetoaster.
• Toremoveany crumbsfrom thetoaster,
slideout thecrumb tray from under the
toaster, empty and replaceit before using
thetoaster again.
• Wipetheoutsideof thetoaster with
aslightly dampened cloth and polish
with asoft dry cloth.
• Tocleantheinterior, turn thetoaster
upsidedownover thesink or rubbish bin
and shakecrumbsfree.
Storage
Alwaysswitch o, then unplug from mains
and allow to cool completely before storing.
DO NOT USE THE TOASTER WITHOUT THE SLIDE OUT CRUMB TRAY IN PLACE DO
NOT ALLOW CRUMBS TO BUILD UP IN CRUMB TRAY. CRUMB TRAY SHOULD BE
CLEANED OUT REGULARLY.
