SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance.
Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.
Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated
on the rating label of the appliance and that the wall outlet is
grounded.
Do not share the same electrical socket with other high-power
electric appliance at the same time.
Place the appliance on a dry, stable, at, heat-resistant surface.
Avoid placing it close to edges.
The total amount of liquid or food introduced in the product
should not exceed 80 % of the capacity to avoid overowing.
This appliance is for melting cheese, chocolate, for warming or
heating sauces and for grilling or frying foods.
The appliance will be very hot during and immediately
after operating. Use gloves or other convenient protection
accessories in order to avoid burns and injuries. Keep it away
from ammable substances and objects.
Do not touch, clean or move the metal parts before the
appliance is completely cooled downto avoid burns. Only move
the appliance by using the handle.
Always keep the container’s base dry and free from dust or
other substances.
Do not twist, bend, strain, or damage the power cord in any
way. Protect it from sharp edges and heat sources. Do not let
it touch hot surfaces. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of
the working surface or countertop.
Do not operate the device when empty.
Do not use the device with extended cords.
Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any non-removable part

of the appliance in water or any other liquid, nor expose the
electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry
before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.
Pull from the plug, not from the cord, to disconnect the device
from the power supply.
Make sure the knob is on the “0” position before plugging or
unplugging the device.
Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If the cord is
damaged, it must be replaced by the ofcial Technical Support
Service of Cecotec in order to avoid any type of danger.
Use only parts and components provided with the original
product by Cecotec.
The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an
external timer or separate remote-control system.
Allowthe device to cool down completely before assembling or
disassembling any of its parts. Be careful not to burn yourself.
The appliance is not intended to be used by children. It can
be used by children as long as they are given continuous
supervision.
This appliance can be used by children or persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge, as long as they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way
and understand the hazards involved. Do not allow children to
play with the appliance.
Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is being
used by or near children.

2. BEFORE USE
Take the product out of the box.
Remove all packaging material
Make sure all parts and accessories are included, and check that they do not show any signs of
damage. If there are any, contact the ofcial Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
3. OPERATION
Warning:
Make sure the knob is on the “0” position before plugging or unplugging the device.
A smell of smoke may come from the surface of the heating element when using this appliance
for the rst time.
This appliance is designed to be used as a cheese fondue, oil fondue or chocolate fondue.
Place the heating base on a stable and heat-resistant table.
Place the fondue container on the heating base and make sure the base makes good contact
with the heating plate.
Introduce chocolate, cheese or oil in the fondue container. Do not exceed the maximum mark
inside the container.
Warning: Do not mix water and oil, it could be dangerous.
Plug the appliance into the main socket. Make sure the thermostat knob is set at the Min.
position before plugging it in.
Turn the knob to the Max. position, the heat light indicator will turn on and the device will start
operating.
The light indicator will turn on and on according to the automatic thermostat settings. This
way, the fondue container’s temperature is controlled to ensure food is perfectly cooked.
Once you have nished using the device, turn the knob to the “0” position again, the light
indicator will turn off too.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Do not touch any part of the product’s surface until it has cooled completely down.
Turn off, unplug the product and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
Do not immerse the product in water or other liquid.
Use a soft cloth, water a soap to clean the device.
Never use strong detergents, abrasive powder or metal brush to clean any part of the product.
The following components are dishwasher-safe: forks, container and anti-splash lid.
To ensure that the most stubborn dirt is completely removed, we recommend pre-washing
the container before washing it in the dishwasher. For this, we recommend using concentrated
liquid detergent and a non-abrasive scouring pad.
Do not hold or transport the device while it is hot or during use.
Store it in a cool and dry place.

6. DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES
The European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment (WEEE), species that old household electrical appliances must
not be disposed ofwiththe normalunsorted municipal waste. Old appliances
must be collected separately, in order to optimize the recovery and recycling
of the materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and
the environment.
The crossed out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation to dispose
of the appliance correctly. If the product has a built-in battery or uses batteries, they should be
removed from the appliance and disposed of appropriately.
Consumers must contact their local authorities or retailer for information concerning the
correct disposal of old appliances and/or their batteries.

7. TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND WARRANTY
This product is under warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase, as long as the proof
of purchase is submitted, the product is in perfect physical condition, and it has been given
proper use, as explained in this instruction manual.
The warranty will not cover the following situations:
The product has been used for purposes other than those intended for it, misused, beaten,
exposed to moisture, immersed in liquid or corrosive substances, as well as any other fault
attributable to the customer.
The product has been disassembled, modied, or repaired by persons, not authorised by the
ofcial Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
Faults deriving from the normal wear and tear of its parts, due to use.
The warranty service covers every manufacturing defects of your appliance for 2 years, based
on current legislation, except consumable parts. In the event of misuse, the warranty will not
apply.
