SE TION 1: IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
WHEN USING ELE TRI AL APPLIAN ES BASI PRE AUTIONS SHOULD ALWAYS

PERSON, IN LUDING THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT SAFETY ADVI E.
READ ALL INSTRU TIONS BEFORE USING HEATER.
Regarding installation of the appliance;
This appliance is supplied with a ewi able plug fitted with
a 13A fuse. Should the fuse o plug need eplacing, and
you a e competent to do so, it must be eplaced with a 13A
fuse and the plug must be a 13amp BS1363A app oved
fitted with a 13A fuse.
Connect this appliance to single-phase AC supply of the
voltage specified on the ating plate.
This heate must be ea thed. If in any doubt consult a
suitable competent pe son.
Ensu e that the plug socket-outlet connection fo this appliance is accessible. It
MUST be eadily accessible fo easy elect ical isolation in the event of se vicing and
eplacing components etc.
This appliance MUST NOT be located immediately below an elect ical socket-outlet.
Avoid the use of an extension co d as this may ove heat and cause a isk of fi e.
Running this appliance on heat setting 2 (2000W) with anothe piece of elect ical
equipment on the same ci cuit may cause the fuse of this appliance to blow, o you
ci cuit b eake to tu n off the powe supply. If this occu s econnect one of the
appliances to anothe ci cuit.
This appliance is fitted with an automatic the mal cut out to educe the isk of
damage in the event of abno mal ope ation e.g. when cove ed. If the heate stops
ope ating whilst the flame effect continues no mally this indicates that the cut out is
in ope ation. If this occu s disconnect the powe supply at the plug socket-outlet and
ensu e that any obst uctions to the fan heate outlet o fan blades etc. a e emoved.
The heate will automatically eset when cool enough. The the mal cut out WILL
NOT RESET unless the obst uction is emoved and the appliance cools. If the
heate is still not ope ating afte 10 minutes disconnect the appliance and seek
expe t advice.
If the supply co d is damaged it must be eplaced by the manufactu e , its se vice
agent o a simila ly qualified pe son in o de to avoid a haza d. The cable used
MUST be capable of handling 2.5kW of powe at 240V and MUST contain an ea th
wi e.
To completely shut this appliance off tu n all the cont ols to OFF and emove the plug
f om the socket-outlet.
Use the heate in a well-ventilated a ea.

Regarding persons operating the appliance;
This appliance is not intended fo use by pe sons (including child en) with educed
physical, senso y o lea ning disabilities, o lack of expe ience and knowledge,
unless given supe vision o inst uction conce ning use of the appliance by a pe son
esponsible fo thei safety.
Child en should be supe vised at all times to ensu e that they do not play with the
appliance.
Ext eme caution is necessa y when any heate is used by o nea child en, invalids
o elde ly pe sons and wheneve the heate is left ope ating and unattended.
DO NOT cove the heate . The meaning of figu e is “WARNING! DO NOT COVER”.
This is to avoid ove -heating of the p oduct.
DO NOT leave the heate unattended while it is in use. Always tu n the appliance to the
OFF position and unplug it f om the elect ical outlet when not in use.
DO NOT ope ate this appliance with a damaged co d o plug, o afte the appliance
malfunctions, has been d opped o damaged in any way.
DO NOT use this appliance with a p og ammable time o any othe device that switches
the appliance on and off automatically. In o de to avoid a haza d due to inadve tent

4.2 Unpacking the appliance

4.3 Locating your electric heater
NOTE: If installing in an existing fireplace and chimney you should;
block the chim ey with fiberglass i sulatio or similar to preve t it sucki g air away
through the applia ce. Failure to do this may cause poor performa ce a d loss of
heat or cause the applia ce cut out,
ot i stall i to a existi g fireplace that is pro e to damp ess,
thoroughly clea i side the chim ey cavity/walls to remove a y dust a d debris prior
to i stallatio of the electric fire.
Do not place the elect ic fi e di ectly on ca pets. This is to avoid possible discolou ing
caused by the heat o blockage of ai inlets.
Make su e that the plug o fused spu is accessible afte the elect ic fi e is fitted.
Befo e connecting the appliance make su e that its ating co esponds to that of the mains
supply and the fuse is the co ect ating.
The appliance should be located close to a suitable mains socket-outlet to enable
connection. The elect ical socket-outlet must be easily accessible to allow disconnection.
NOTE: the applia ce is fitted with a i let plug a d socket u der eath the right
side of the casi g. Always make sure that it is fully pushed i a d secure before
operati g the fire. Damage could occur if it is ot fitted properly.
To secu e the appliance pe manently into a ecess in the wall o back panel the appliance
can be sc ewed th ough the f ame of the fi ebox.
To secu e the appliance in the opening place the fi e in position and using a pencil, ma k
the positions of the holes on the wall th ough the f ame. Remove the fi e and d ill and plug
the ma ked holes. Re-fit and secu e the fi e (see Figu e 1)

Fit the t im f ame to the fi e using the magnetic st ips p ovided. Place the f et o f ont
casting in f ont of the fi e (see Figu e 2)

SE TION 5: OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION! THE UNIT’S POWER CORD MUST BE CONNECTED TO A
PROPERLY GROUNDED AND PROTECTED 240V OUTLET. ALWAYS
USE GROUND FAULT PROTECTION WHERE REQUIRED BY THE
ELECTRICAL CODE.
This appliance can be ope ated by both the emote cont ol and the manual keypad. Once
the unit has been p ope ly connected to an ea thed elect ical socket-outlet ensu e the
manual On/Off switch, located on the ight hand side of the appliance (see below), is in the
‘ON’ position.
MANUAL ON/OFF SWIT H
Use this switch to tu n the appliance on/off. Once tu ned
off the appliance will need to RE-BOOT befo e use – see
details below.
NOTE: The ma ual o /off switch must be i the ‘ON’
positio whe usi g both remote a d ma ual
operatio .
WARNING! DO NOT OPERATE THE UNIT IF IT IS DAMAGED OR HAS
MALFUNCTIONED. IF YOU SUSPECT THE UNIT IS DAMAGED PLEASE
CALL A QUALIFIED SERVICE TECHNICIAN TO INSPECT AND TO
REPLACE ANY PART OF THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IF NECESSARY.
BOOT UP PRO EDURE:
Switch the Manual ON/OFF switch to the ON position. The sc een should now appea white
fo a few seconds afte which the ‘boot-up’ sequence will begin.
Boot-up can take up to 2 minutes du ing which this hou glass icon will be seen -
When boot-up is complete this icon will be seen on the sc een -
P ess the ON/Standby button when p ompted.
The appliance is now ON.
NOTE: If the Ma ual ON/OFF switch is tur ed to the OFF positio , the heater cuts off
due to overheat or the power to the u it is i terrupted, the u it will reboot o ce power is
restored.

NOTE: If this product experie ces exceptio ally low or exceptio ally high supply
voltages it may automatically reset or stop fu ctio i g. If this occurs the product should
be u plugged or isolated from the mai supply for a period of 30 seco ds before the
power is the re-supplied.

5.1 Operating the appliance using the Manual Keypad
MANUAL KEYPAD SWIT HES
The keypad switches (shown below), located at the bottom of the appliance, p ovide
identical functionality to the emote cont ol handset. Fo a detailed desc iption of the
function of each button see the section below titled ‘Operati g by Remote Ha dset’.
NOTE: The ma ual keypad o the applia ce will provide
you with complete fu ctio al co trol of the u it. It is
i te ded however that this keypad is used o ly if you lose
the remote ha dset or the ha dset batteries have failed.
Please use the remote ha dset to carry out all fu ctio .
5.1.1 Operating by Remote Handset
Ensu e the batte ies a e installed p ope ly in the emote cont ol handset.
The effective ange of the emote cont ol is up to 4 met es (13 feet).
The appliance must have completed the initial BOOT-UP sequence befo e the
emote will function.
IM ORTANT NOTE REGARDING THE USE OF THE REMOTE CONTROL HANDSET
The Celsi remote ha dset has bee ergo omically desig ed to e able the operator to view
the keypad whilst tra smitti g sig als to the applia ce. U like most remote ha dsets which
require the tip of the ha dset to be poi ted towards the applia ce the Celsi ha dset
tra smits from the u derside as show below. This preve ts the requireme t to rotate a d
poi t the remote whe the butto s are pushed.

5.2.1 Button Description
The functionality of the buttons desc ibed below is the same fo both the emote cont ol
handset and the manual keypad.
ON/STANDBY: This button to used tu n the
fi e ON o OFF.
MUTE: This button is used to mute the
sound o esto e the sound.
Lo/Hi/Off: This button is used to change
the manual heat setting to Low,
High o Off. Fo fu the
info mation see page 9 ‘How to
cha ge the ma ual heat setti g’.
THERMOSTAT: This button is used to tu n the
the mostat on. Fo fu the
info mation see page 10 ‘How to use the thermostat’.
FUN TION: This button is used to ente function mode. Fo fu the
info mation see page 11 ‘How to use the fu ctio features’.
IN REASE: This button is used to change a ‘thermostat’ o ‘fu ctio ’ setting.
DE REASE: This button is used to change a ‘thermostat’ o ‘fu ctio ’ setting.
5.2.2 How to change the manual heat setting
P ess the button to place the appliance into ma ual
heat mode.
NOTE: Whe this butto is pressed the applia ce will fall
out of thermostat mode if previously set.
P ess the Lo/Hi/Off button to put the heate in to LOW heat setting
mode. The heating fan on the left side of the appliance will tu n on.
P ess the Lo/Hi/Off button again to put the heate in to HIGH
heat setting mode. The heating fans on both sides of the appliance will now be tu ned on.
P ess of the Lo/Hi/Off button again to tu n both the heate fans OFF.
The next p ess of the Lo/Hi/Off button will etu n the unit to the LOW heat setting, and so
the cycle is epeated.

5.2.3 How to use the thermostat
P ess the
button to put the appliance into thermostat
mode.
NOTE: Whe this butto is pressed the applia ce will fall
out of ma ual heat mode if previously set.
When unning in the mostat mode the unit will egulate the heat
setting automatically between high and off in o de to maintain
the comfo t level selected. To change the comfo t level follow
the steps below.
P ess the ‘TEMP’ button to display the thermostat icon on sc een. This icon shows the
cu ent the mostat heat setting.
This icon will emain on sc een fo 3 seconds. If no othe buttons a e p essed du ing this
time the icon will disappea f om the sc een and continue to un at this the mostat setting.
When the the mostat icon is on sc een the the mostat heat setting can be changed by
p essing the buttons to inc ease o dec ease the egulated tempe atu e.
The on sc een icon will now display the new heat setting. The e a e ten comfo t levels to
choose f om:
Lowest <- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -> Highest
Select a satisfacto y setting and then wait fo 3 seconds fo the icon to disappea .
The the mostat is now set.
NOTE: The u it will co ti ue to ru i thermostat mode u til the applia ce is switched
OFF or the u it is set to ma ual heat mode.

5.2.4 How to use the function settings
P ess the button to ente fu ctio mode. The fi st of the five available functions will
now be displayed on sc een.
The five functions a e as follows:
Flame Image
Flame Speed
Volume Brightness Sleep Timer
To access each of the functions simply continue to p ess the ‘FUNC’ button until the equi ed
function is displayed.
The icon will stay on sc een fo 3 seconds. If no othe buttons a e p essed du ing this time,
the icon will disappea f om the sc een and continue to un with its cu ent setting.
The
buttons can be used to change each function setting.
Desc iptions of the six function modes a e shown sepa ately in the sections below.
5.2.4.1 How to change the Flame Image
P ess the ‘FUNC’ button as desc ibed above to
display the flame image icon on the sc een.
P ess the buttons to change the flame
image. The e a e th ee flame images to choose
f om and the image will change on the sc een as
you sc oll th ough the selections. Once the desi ed image is
selected wait fo 3 seconds fo the on sc een icon to disappea .
The flame image is now set.

5.2.4.2 How to change the Flame Speed
P ess the ‘FUNC’ button as desc ibed above to
display the flame speed icon on the sc een.
P ess the
buttons to change the flame
speed. The e a e five flame speeds to choose
f om and you will see the speed change as you
sc oll th ough the selections. Once the desi ed speed is selected
wait fo 3 seconds fo the on sc een icon to disappea .
The flame speed is now set.
5.2.4.3 How to change the Volume
P ess the ‘FUNC’ button as desc ibed above to
display the volume icon is on the sc een.
P ess the buttons to change the volume.
The e a e 6 volume settings to choose f om
(including mute) and you will hea the volume
change as you sc oll th ough the selections. Once the desi ed
volume is selected wait fo 3 seconds fo the on sc een icon to
disappea .
The volume is now set.
5.2.4.4 How to change the Brightness
P ess the ‘FUNC’ button as desc ibed above to
display the bright ess icon on the sc een.
P ess the buttons to change the sc een
bright ess. The e a e 3 bright ess settings to
choose f om and you will see bright ess change
as you sc oll th ough the selections. Once the desi ed bright ess
is selected wait fo 3 seconds fo the on sc een icon to disappea .
The bright ess is now set.
NOTE: I daylight co ditio s this bright ess cha ge may appear quite subtle

5.2.4.5 How to change the Sleep Timer
P ess the ‘FUNC’ button as desc ibed above to
display the sleep timer icon on the sc een.

Once the desi ed sleep timer is selected wait fo 3 seconds fo the on sc een icon to
disappea .
The sleep timer is now set.
IM ORTANT NOTES REGARDING THE USE OF THE SLEE TIMER
O ce the sleep timer has bee cha ged from ‘OFF’ to a y of the 8 available sleep timer
setti g, the applia ce will ow co ti ue to ru for the selected time. O ce this time has
elapsed the applia ce will automatically tur to STANDBY.
If the sleep timer has bee selected a d it is o lo ger required it ca be ca celled by
e teri g the fu ctio mode, selecti g the sleep timer a d cha gi g the setti g to ‘OFF’.
Whilst the applia ce is ru i g i sleep timer mode it is still possible to cha ge a y
fu ctio ality without affecti g the timer, for example, heat setti g or mood lighti g.
If the sleep timer setti g is cha ged whilst the sleep timer is i operatio the ew setti g will
ow be used for the sleep timer process.
The sleep timer is always reset to ‘OFF’ after e teri g sta dby mode .

SE TION 6: MAINTENANCE
Always emove the plug f om the socket-outlet and allow the heate to cool down
befo e cleaning it.
Wipe the exte io su face of the appliance occasionally with a soft damp cloth (not
d ipping wet) and d y the exte io su face befo e ope ating the heate .
WARNING!
Do ot immerse the heater i water.
Do ot use a y clea i g chemicals such as deterge ts a d abrasives.
Do ot allow the i terior to get wet as this could create a hazard.
Light accumulated dust may be emoved f om the appliance with a soft d y cloth.
To sto e away the appliance put it back in to its o iginal packaging and sto e it in a
clean d y place.
In the event of malfunction do not t y to epai the heate you self as this may esult
in a fi e haza d o elect ic shock.
SE TION 7: ENVIRONMENT
Meaning of crossed –out wheeled dustbin
Do not dispose of elect ical appliances as unso ted municipal waste.
Use sepa ate collection facilities. Contact you local gove nment fo
info mation ega ding the collection se vices available in you local a ea.
If elect ical appliances a e disposed of in landfills o dumps haza dous
substances can leak into the g oundwate and get into the food chain,
thus damaging you health and well being. When eplacing old
appliances with new ones the etaile is legally obligated to take away
you old appliance fo disposal f ee of cha ge.
