DT-9989 Bluetooth User Help
I. Driver Installation and identification of COM PORT
1. Insert the PC-4.0B (the blue USB which delivered together with the Multimeter) into the
computer and open the Device Manager, as shown in Figure 1 below. If the Bluetooth of
your computer is lower as 4.0, it is necessary to update your driver (from point 2 to point 5).
Otherwise, please go to point 6 directly.

In the Device Manager, you will find an unrecognized device: TI CC2540 USB CDC (Figure 2).

2. Please select the unidentified device, right-click to select "Update Driver Software ..."

3、Then Choose „Browse my computer for driver software“.

4. The driver Software is in Software-package, in the file „Drivers”. (Figure 5)

5、Driver is successful installed.

6. Check the available Com Port in Computer Management, Ports (COM & LPT). For example,
as shown in Figure 7, the Com Port for Bluetooth communication is 7.

II. Connecting Multimeter with PC-software through Bluetooth
1. Open the DT-9989 PC software as shown below

2. Select the menu “Com Port””ConnectBle”

3. Enter the COM Port number which you have found from the Computer Management into
position ① and then select „Scan“②

4. After the results of the Scanning return (as shown in Figure 11), choose the device which
need to be connected and click the button „Connect“ to build the communication between
the Software and the Multimeter.
