Installation
TheMseriestelephoneisdesignedforusebehindaregisteredPBXsystem.  Thetelephoneuser
orsysteminstallermustsupplyanRJ‐11modularwalljacktoconnectthistelephonetothePBX
system.ThePBX“stationport”typemustbe“IndustryStandardAnalog”or“POTS.”This
telephonecannotbeusedwith“digital”PBXstationports. 
ConnecttheoneendofsuppliedcoiledhandsetcordtoHandsetjackontheleftsideinthefrontof
baseunit.Connectthefreeendofthecoiledhandsetcordtothejackontheleftsideofhandset. 
Placethehandsetinitscradle.Connectthesuppliedstraightmodular cord to the TEL LINE jack
locatedontheFRONTofthetelephone.  Connecttheremainingendofthiscordtothetelephone
systemRJ‐11walljack.  Liftthehandsetandverifythatdialtoneispresent.

Caution
•Neverinstalltelephonewiringduringalightningstorm.
•Neverinstalltelephonejacksinwetlocationsunlessthejackisspecificallydesignedforwet
locations.
•Nevertouchuninstalledtelephonewiresorterminalsunlessthetelephonelinehasbeen
disconnectedatthenetworkinterface.

LineVoltageSelectors
TheMseriesisdesignedtooperatebehindPBXtelephonesystemsratedbetween24voltsand48
volts.Thelinevoltageselectionoftelephoneusestheautodetect,withoutneedingtosetthe
switches.

MessageWaitingSelectors
Thistelephoneautomaticallyrespondstoboth“NEON”orlow‐voltage“LED”signalsviathe
“TYPE”settingwhichisthedefaultatfactory.Ifthereversepolaritymessagesignalingisselected,
justmovetheMWswitchto“LR1”or“LR2”(LRmeans“linereverse”).


Thevolumecontrolkeyincreasesordecreasesthevolumeofthehandsetandspeaker.
Whenthehandsetisoffhookorspeakerkeyengagedonspeakerphones,press“Vol ”and
“Vol”keytoincreaseordecreasethevolume.Boththehandsetandspeakervolumecontrolis
a5‐stepoperation.Thehandsetsofallmodelsarehearingaidcompatible.

RingerVolumeControl
Theringervolumecontrolsharesthesame“Vol ”and“Vol”key.Toadjusttheringervolume
:whenthephoneisatstandbymode,press“Vol ”toincreasetheringervolumeandpress 
“Vol”keytodecreasetheringervolume.


and1Soff.ThisrepresentsthattheBluetoothisinitiated,andotherdevicecanlocateitforpairing
andusingtheBluetoothfunction.
FeaturesofFunctionKey
1.SpeeddialMemoryKeys:5or10user‐programmablespeed‐dialkeyswith32digitcapacity.
[FLASH] is storable. Speed‐dial memory is non‐volatile EEPROM, so programming is retained
withouttheneedforbatteries.
2. FLASHKey:Generates a 600ms (0.6S) hook flash at the programmed flash time of
100ms‐1000ms(thedefaultis600ms).Thekeyis locatedbeneathPVCfaceplate,soyouneedto
removethefaceplatetoaccessitforediting. 
3. HOLDKey:Functionsas“localhold”key.PressingitallowsHoldLEDtoconstantly blink or
r e le a s e  H o ld.  L i n e  o n ‐ h o ld :  t h e  HoldLEDabovethecorrespondingLineKeywillblink.
4.REDIALKey:Redialthelastdialednumberwithupto32digitsafterthephoneisoff‐hooked.
5.STOREKey:Usedtoprogramthespeed‐dialkeys.ThekeyislocatedbeneathPVCfaceplate,so
youneedtoremovethefaceplatetoaccessitforediting.
6.MUTEKey:Mutesthespeakerphoneandhandsetmicrophoneduringcall,pressitagaintoturn
onthemicrophone.TheMUTELEDislocateddirectlyabovethe[MUTE]key.  Indicatesthestatus
oftheMutefunction.  ThemicrophoneismutedwhentheLEDisturnedon.Youcanhearthe
voicefromotherpartyofcall,buttheycannothearfromyou.Pressitagaintoresumethecall.
7.SPKRKey:Activateordeactivatethespeakerphonemode.Pressitonce,theSPKRLEDisturned
on,itmeansthatthespeakerphoneisactivated.Pressitagaintodeactivatethespeakerphone.
8.LINE1Key:WhenpressingLINE1key,theredLEDonLINE1keyturnson,itmeansthatLINE1
isoperating(onlyfortwo‐linemodel).
9.LINE2Key:WhenpressingLINE2key,theredLEDonLINE2keyturnson,itmeansthatLINE2
isoperating(onlyfortwo‐linemodel).
10.CONFKey:Makethree‐wayconferencecallusingbothline1andline2.Whenthefunctionis
activated,theredLEDsonbothline1andline2turnon(onlyfortwo‐linemodel).

11.VOLKey:Selectthesuitablevolumeamong5levels.Press“ ”toincreasethevolume,press
“”todecreasethevolume.The“ ”hasthesamefunctionas“Vol ”;the“ ”hasthesame
functionas“Vol”.
12.PLAYKey:Whenthemobilephoneandthedevicehavefinishedthepairing,andtheirdistance
iswithin10meters,pressing“ ”keyoncewillplaythemusicinsidethemobilephone.
13.FORWARDorREVERSEKey:Whenplayingthemusic,pressFORWARDkey“ ”toplaythe
previousmusic;pressREVERSEkey“ ”toplaythenextmusic.
14.NetworkInterface:TheWANportisthenetworkinput;theLANportisconvenientfor
connectingthecomputerwithoutWIFIfunction,anditisalsoconvenientforthenetwork
configuration.ForthecomputerwithWIFIfunction,youjustneedtoconnectthenetworkwith
theWANportoftelephoneandsearchforthewirelessnetwork.Themobilephoneandlaptop
computercaninstantlyconnectInternetbyusingWIFI,thisisextremelyconvenient. 


UsingHandset
Liftthehandset.Acleardialtonecanbeheardfromearpiece.
TheredLEDonLINE1keyturnson,itmeansthatyouaremakingacallviaLINE1(onlyfor
two‐linemodel).
PressLINE2key,theredLEDonLINE2keyturnson,itmeansthatyouaremakingacallviaLINE2 
(onlyfortwo‐linemodel).
Usethenumericdialpadtodialnumberorpressaprogrammedmemorykeytodialoutit.
Note:Theusercanfreelyselectthelinetomakeacall.Youjust need to press the key of
correspondinglineafterliftingthehandset(onlyfortwo‐linemodel).
AnsweringCallsbyUsingHandsetorSpeakerphone
Whenthephonerings,youcanliftthehandsetorpress[SPKR]keytobegintheconversation.
YoucanalsodirectlypresstheLinekeyofthatringingline,the phone will activate the
speakerphonecall(onlyfortwo‐linemodel).
UsingSpeakerphone
The M Series speakerphone is equippedwithasuperiorspeakerphone feature allowing the
handsfreeoperation.Whenmakingor answeringacall, youcanpress[SPKR]keytoactivatethe
telephoneline.ThelitupSPKRLEDshowsthatthespeakerphoneisINUSE.Pressitagaintohang
upthephone.


PairingMobilePhonewithTelephone
a. Pressandhold“ ”keyontelephone,a“toot”promptsoundwillbeheard.TheBTLED
keepsblinkingat1Sonand1Soff.ThisrepresentsthattheBluetoothisinitiated.
b. Themobilephonestartsup“ Bluetooth”andscanstheavailabledevicestofindthenameof
Bluetoothdevicethathasbeensetrecently.Clickthedevicenameforconnection.The
turningoffofBTLEDrepresentsthatthepairingsucceeds.
c. Clickthemusicplayonmobilephone,thespeakeroftelephonewillgeneratethemelodious
music.
d. Afterthemobilephonesucceedsinpairingwithtelephone,ifthereisanincomingcallon
mobilephone,theusercoulddirectlyliftthehandsettoanswerthecalltoavoidexposureto
theradiationofmobilephone.


