Congratulations on the purchase of your new CHAUVET lighting controller. We are confident you
will enjoy many trouble free hours with this unit. To assist with the care and use of the product we
have prepared this short guide.
Operation
This lighting controller has been designed to function on a mains power supply of either
120V~60Hz or 230V~50Hz and has been fitted with a suitable power plug for use with your local
voltage. Check the label on the unit and the power plug for the correct voltage.
The unit has been designed to be used in exclusively with the CHAUVET SF-8005 Controller
System and the SF-9005 Chasing Timer Control.
The SR-8 Relay Pack features 8 switched power sockets (that correspond to channel 1-8 on the
Switch Panel of the SF-8000/9000), and one unswitched power socket for "constant on" item. An
unlimited amount of SR-8 Relay Packs may be run off one switch panel. To do this simply
connect an EXCB-25 extension cable from the "line out" on one SR-8 relay pack to the "line in" on
another SR-8 relay pack (fig. 1). Maximum load per SR-8 relay pack is 15-amps or 1800 watts.
For your protection the relay pack has been fitted with a 15A circuit breaker which will disconnect
the main power supply to the outlets should you either overload the unit or if there is a pwer
surge. In such circumstances it is necessary to press the Reset Button (fig. 1) to activate the
power to the controller.
Installation / Mounting
The SR-8 Relay Pack may be used either mounted on a level surface or to a lighting stand/truss.
It is recommended that, for safety purposes, your relay pack be properly mounted using the
mounting holes and safety cable. CHAUVET offers a range of items which are ideal for safe
mounting.
Optional Accessories
Optional accessories available from CHAUVET for your new Relay Pack include 25 foot
extension cable (EXCB-25).
Cleaning
The body of the unit may be cleaned with a soft damp cloth. We recommend internal cleaning be
carried out by a fully qualified technician.
Maintenance & Servicing
Work on internal parts should be carried out by a qualified technician. Removal of any covers is
considered a breach of warranty and will not be covered under any such agreement unless
authorized first by the company.
Troubleshooting
•If the unit is not functional – check main power supply is ‘on’ and reset circuit breaker.
•If the unit continually trips the circuit breaker – check the rating of the load and wiring.
If after trying this solution you still have a problem contact your dealer or CHAUVET.

Power Connections
The unit is supplied with a power plug appropriate to its voltage and destination. Should any other
connections be required they must be carried out with the following configuration.
Earth = Green/Yellow cable
Neutral = Blue cable
Live = Brown cable
In the USA & Europe, it is required that all plugs are 3-pin type i.e. with Earth/Ground connection.
In the UK, it is required that all mains plugs are fitted with 13A fuses.
