We are pleased you have purchased our product and we thank you for your trust in us. We aim atfully
satisfying our customers by oering them state-of-the-art products for the treatment of respiratory
diseases. Please read these instructions carefully and retain them for future reference. Only use
the device as described in this manual. This a medical device for domestic use to nebulise and
administer medical devices or medicine prescribed or recommended by your doctor who has
evaluated the patient’s general conditions.
What is it?
Clenny®A Rino Smart is a nasal douche specically designed to irrigate and treat adult and child
nasal cavities, either with saline solution or with medicated solutions for aerosol use. The nasal
douche is portable and does not need to be plugged in to be used.
How does it work?
Clenny®A Rino Smart is intended for the washing of nasal cavities, collecting the outflowing
solution in a special retrieval chamber present in the nasal douche. It can be used with saline
solutions, (isotonic, hypertonic and thermal waters) aerosol medicines, as prescribed by a doctor.
The ergonomic compressor body of the douche makes a comfortable handle provided with a
button which can easily activate nebulisation and it is also provided with an aspiration valve which
allows air to enter and decreases noise. The flask has been designed to accomodate two adjacent
chambers, one for the nebulising solution and the other for the outflowing solution. Nasal adaptors,
available in 3 dierent sizes according to the size of the nasal opening of the subject, are to be
applied to the flask.
When do I use it?
Clenny® A Rino Smart may be used for:
- Physiological cleansing of the nasal cavities, in both children and adults, with an isotonic solution.
- Therapeutic cleansing in children and adults with an isotonic solution, thermal water or medicine
(recommended by the doctor or pharmacist).
ATTENTION:
The nebuliser cup is intended for personal use only, to avoid transmitting infections.
The expected medical life of the accessories is approx. 1 year aer the packaging has been opened;
it is, however, advisable to replace the nebuliser cup every 6 months in the event of intense use (or
earlier if the cup is obstructed) to always guarantee maximum therapeutic ecacy.
THE STANDARD KIT OF THE DEVICE INCLUDES:
(1) Nasal adaptor ‘A’ with a so rubber tip, suitable for children up to 3 years of age
Nasal adaptor ‘B’ with a so rubber tip, suitable for children from 3 to 10 years of age
Nasal adaptor ‘C’, with so rubber tip, suitable for 10 years of age and over
(2) Separator
(3) Atomizer
(4) Removable and washable flask consisting of 2 separate chambers:
(4a) 15 ml nebulisation chamber
(4b) Retreival chamber
(5) Compressor body with ergonomic handle
(5a) Activation button
(5b) Battery compartment
(5c) Aspiration valve with lid

• Before each usage, wash hands thoroughly and clean the nasal douche and its accessories as
indicated in paragraph 3. Cleaning, Sanitization, Disinfection and Sterilization.
• During application it is advisable to be careful as the solution can drip from the nose.
2.1 - Before usage place batteries as indicated in paragraph 1.
2.2 -For a correct use of the nasal douche, the symbol of the little man ( ) (4c), placed on the flask
(4), always has to be directed towards the
patient. The flask can be xed on the position
of the little man on the side of the activation
button (5a) allowing activation of the nasal
douche with the thumb, or with the little man
on the opposite side of the button in order to
allow activation with the index nger.
In order to obtain one of the aforementioned
conditions, when screwing the flask clockwise
(4) on the douche compressor body (5), the
symbol of the little man needs to be located
on the side opposite to the position you would
like to obtain.
2.3 -Pour the solution (max 15 ml) in the
nebulisation slot (4a) of the flask, as shown in.
Verify the presence of the atomizer (3).
Battery disposal: Exhausted batteries are to be disposed of in the appropriate recipient.
. INSERT AND REPLACE BATTERIES
1. Open the battery compartment (5b) by pressing
and liing the lid in the direction of the arrows.
2. Insert 2 batteries (supplied with the device)
into the battery compartment, ensuring they
correspond with the polarities indicated in the
battery compartment. Use 2 alkaline batteries
(AA).
3. Place the lid back on the compartment by
lowering the upper part of the compartment until
it is completely fastened.
Remove the batteries when the device is not going
to be used for a prolonged period of time. Leaving
the batteries in the compartment for too long can cause leaking which can damage the device.
ATTENTION:
• Does not contain parts which can be repaired by the user. The warranty does not cover batteries
or damage caused by old batteries.
• Only use good quality batteries. Always use new batteries and do not use old and new batteries
together. Use batteries of the same brand and of the same type.

2.4 - Apply the separator (2) directing it with the
dot (2a) in correspondence with the little
man ( ) (4c) located on the external part of
the flask (4), as shown. Then insert the most
suitable nasal adaptor for the size of your
nasal openings (1A-1B-1C).
2.5 - Insert the hole of the nasal adaptor in one
nasal opening.
2.6 - Activate the nasal douche by keeping the
activation button pressed (5a) during the
inhalation phase and release it before
exhaling; in this phase, in order to help the
discharge of the mucus, gently blow through
the nasal opening that has been treated with
the nasal douche, keeping the other nasal
opening closed.
2.7 - During nebulisation it is advisable to close the
other nostril where the douche is not being applied, with a nger.
2.8 -Repeat procedures 2.5 to 2.7 for the other nasal opening as well, trying to evenly distribute the
solution in the two nasal openings.
2.9 -In the case of children or people who are not self-sucient, or not able to perform the various
phases of point 2.6, it is advisable to carry out the application alternating the two nasal
openings aer about 15 seconds, with breaks necessary to allow for the discharge of mucus.
2.10 - In case of medicine administration through aerosol, it is advisable to carry out a wash with
a saline solution rst, in order to obtain a more ecient distribution of the medicine on the
nasal mucous membrane.
2.11 - At the end of the application, turn o the device and carry out cleaning and/or sanitizing
following the instructions in paragraph 3. Cleaning, Sanitization, Disinfection and
Sterilization.
