MicandOscillatorfunctions aremutuallyexclusive. TheAux-In sourceisunaffectedby the MIC/OSC
switch. Becarefulabout flippingtheMIC/OSC switchintoOSC with headphoneson. Theoscillator can
bequiteloud.
Metering. Themetering can monitorthe headphone Cueinput or theProgram output. The Metering
Selectswitch doesnoteffect whatfeedsthe headphoneamp or theprogram audiooutput.
PTT and Cough. The "SW MODE" jumper located just behind the PTT/Cough switch selects which
function the switch performs. If the jumper is placed between the center pin and the pin closest to the
headphone jack, the switch will be a Push-To-Talk switch, in the other position, the switch is a Cough switch
which kills the mic preamp for as long as you press.
Batteryreplacement. Remove thebattery cover door.. Thebatteries(two alkalinenine volts)go in the
batteryholder clipsbeside thepcboard. For bestfit, orientthe batterieswith the roundterminal closer to

Mostparts on theboard thatcould conceivably"go bad" aresocketed. If youmust removethe PC board
fromtheenclosure, you'llhavetoremove thecover, removethefrontXLR copnnector(itscables easily
unplugfromthe PCB (notetheirplacementand orientation),removetheknobs fromthefiveboard-edge
pots, remove the fourscrews holding theboard down andthe board willcome out woithoutmuch more
difficulty. You'llfindthat itiseasier toremoveif thecornerclosestto VR1,theMIC pot)comesout first.
Reassembleinreverse order.
A note about the Potentiometer shafts: they are actually pretty easy to remove. The back of the shaft
portrudesever-so-slightlyfrom thebackof thepotbody; where itissplit. you justgentlysqueeze thesplit
endofthepot together withneedle-noseplierswhilepullingthe shaftout. Whenreassembling,theyjust
snapback in. Now, isn'tscience wonderful?
