11. Always disconnect from the air supply when:
• Performing any maintenance
• The sabre saw is not in use.
• The sabre saw will be left unattended.
• Moving to another work area.
• Passing the sabre saw to another person.
12. Never use the sabre saw if it is defective or operating abnormally.
13. Avoid damaging the sabre saw for example by applying excessive force
of any kind.
14. ALWAYS maintain the tool. Keep it clean for the best and safest
performance.
15. Quick change couplings should not be located at the tool. They add
weight and could fail due to vibration.
16. DO NOT force or misuse the tool. It will do a better and safer job at the
rate for which it was designed.
17. Do not remove any labels. Damaged labels should be replaced.
18. This tool vibrates with use. Vibration may be harmful to your hands or
arms. Stop using the tool if discomfort, a tingling feeling or pain occurs.
Seek medical advice before resuming use.
19. Always use the appropriate blade for the material being cut.
20. Always switch the machine OFF once the task is completed.
21. Always ensure the blade is fully tightened before use.
22. Always allow sufficient clearance beneath the work to ensure the blade
does not come into contact with the floor, table etc.
23. Always check for hidden electrical wires or water pipes etc.
24. Do not cut material above the specified thickness.
25. Do not cut through walls or cavities before checking for hidden electrical
wires or water pipes etc.
26. Do not touch the blade immediately after use, allow time for it to cool.
27. Do not cut work less than at least twice the pitch of the saw blade. i.e. at
least two teeth must be in contact with the work at all times.
28. When cutting wood, ensure all nails have been removed beforehand.
Nails will damage the wood saw blade.
29. When cutting metals, always use a cooling agent i.e. cutting/soluble oil.
