1. SCOPE OF USE
The ash filter can be used together with a wet and dry vacuum cleaner (not included),
for vacuuming cold ash or material from ovens, fireplaces or barbecues.
2. SAFETY INFORMATION
•It is imperative to follow the information in these operating instructions.
Additionally, the safety precautions and fire prevention regulations required by law
must be observed.
•Important! Never vacuum dangerous substances with the ash filter!
•Do not use the ash filter to vacuum hot, glowing or combustible objects (eg.
charcoal, cigarettes, etc).
•Do not vacuum soot.
• Important! The material being vacuumed must not exceed a temperature of
40OC as this creates a risk of fire.
• Important! If the permissible temperature is exceeded, there is a risk of the
vacuum cleaner, the ash filter and the hoses being damaged.
• Beware! Some materials can look cool on the outside but remain hot on the inside.
Hot materials can re-ignite in a current of air.
•While you are vacuuming, check the hoses, the ash filer and the vacuum cleaner
continually for overheating.
•Before you begin vacuuming, wait for the material to cool down completely.
Do not extinguish hot ash with water as the sudden differences in temperature could
crack your fireplace.
•When vacuuming inside ovens, be certain to wait for the oven to cool down completely
as temperatures above 40OC could damage the vacuum cleaner and the ash filter.
•If you discover overheating, switch off the vacuum cleaner immediately, disconnect
from the power supply and take out the filter bag. Separate the ash filter from the vacuum
cleaner and remove the vacuumed material. Then leave the vacuum cleaner and the
ash filter to cool outdoors under supervision.
•Important! When you are finished with your work, empty the ash filter and the
vacuum cleaner completely as there may still be a risk of fire.
4. STARTING UP
•Fit the vacuum tube (5) to the end of the suction hose (4), the hose ends are identical.
•Fit the suction hose (4) to the connection (6) and turn until securely attached.
