7. Do not drag the machine by it’s electric cable, or yank the cable to
disconnect it from the power supply.
8. ALWAYS ensure the switch is off before plugging into mains. Avoid acci-
dental starting.
9. Do not use the machine if the ON/OFF switch does not turn it on and off.
Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous
and must be repaired.
10. NEVER use power tools in damp or wet locations or expose them to rain.
Do not use in explosive atmosphere (around paint, flammable liquids etc).
Avoid a dangerous environment.
11. DO NOT allow the ventilation slots in the motor to become blocked.
12. EARTH ALL MACHINES. If the machine is equipped with a three-pin plug, it
should be plugged into a three-pin earthed socket. NEVER remove the
earth pin.
13. ALWAYS keep guards/covers in place and in a serviceable condition.
14. Store the tool out of reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar
with these instructions to operate this power tool.
DUST EXTRACTOR SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. ALWAYS ensure that the machine is properly positioned where necessary
to prevent it from moving during operation, and that the immediate area
is kept clear.
2. ALWAYS use a face or dust mask if operation is particularly dusty such as
when disposing of the contents of the dust bags.
3. ALWAYS disconnect the machine from the power supply before servicing
and when changing accessories, or removing & emptying dust bags etc
4. NEVER leave machine running unattended. Turn power off and wait for
the machine to comes to a complete stop before leaving.
5. DO NOT pick up flammable or readily combustible material, hot ashes,
coals, burning cigarettes or other smoking substances etc. or use in the
presence of explosive liquids or vapour.
6. DO NOT use in enclosed areas where flammable, explosive or toxic
vapours are given off, by oil based paints, paint thinner, petrol etc.
7. DO NOT use if the electric cable, plug, collection bags or the motor is in
poor condition.
SERVICING
1. Have all power tools serviced by a qualified repair technician, using only
identical replacement parts. This will ensure the safety of the power tool is
maintained.
2. ALWAYS use only replacement parts supplied by the manufacturer. The use
of non standard parts could be hazardous.
