CLEARVIEW™PANELS
3
NOTE: Carriage bolts (FAH009B) are included to mount the assembly to the frame. If these will not work for your
installation, lag screws, U-bolts, or other means of attachment may be purchased locally and used. Diagram above
shows the roll-up assembly as attached to the frame above the opening that the panel will cover.
Using the diagram above to position the ClearView™ panel, slide the roll-up conduit into the panel pocket and press a7. fabric clip (CC6214) over the panel and roll-up conduit near each end. Additional assistants are required.
NOTE: A conduit pocket is present at the top and bottom of the ClearView™ panel.
Drive a Tek screw through the fabric clips (CC6214), the panel, and into the roll-up conduit. Tek screws are self-8. drilling; no pilot hole is needed.
Evenly space the remaining fabric clips (CC6214) along the length of the roll-up conduit. Secure each fabric clip to9. the conduit using a Tek screw.Apply two (2) layers of duct tape (supplied by customer) over the Tek screw heads to
prevent damage to the panel.
Mount the roll-up and panel assembly to the opening frame.10.
Assemble the bottom conduit by inserting the swaged end of one conduit (131S075) into the plain end of another.11. (See the note that follows.) Secure each joint with a Tek screw and apply two layers of duct tape over the screw head.
Insert the bottom conduit into the pocket in the bottom of the panel and secure it to the panel using fabric clips12. (CC6212) and Tek screws. Evenly space fabric clips along the conduit.
Use the hand crank (102480) to test the roll-up panel.13.
WARNING: Allowing the panel to remain in the lowered position without securing the bottom conduit to the frame may
cause damage to the panel and property and may cause injury. DO NOTALLOW THE PANEL TO REMAIN IN THE
LOWER POSITION DURING STRONG WINDS. Roll the panel up or secure the bottom conduit to the frame of the
opening that the panel covers.
Mark the frame above the opening where the gearbox and end bracket will be mounted.6.

NOTE: Smaller panels may only have one section of pipe for the bottom conduit.
Once installed, the bottom conduit, regardless of panel width, will extend outside
the panel pocket at each end.
If you want to secure the bottom conduit to the frame, purchase additional
brackets and hardware and attach the ends of the conduit to the frame.
If you do not want to secure the bottom of the panel, measure and cut the
conduit using a metal-cutting saw so that it is flush with the ends of the panel.
