The Hydromist Litecarpet soil extraction machine
isdesigned forthe efficientcleaning ofcarpets
and upholstery.It hasbeen designed forthe
professionalusertoensurelong servicelifeand
safeoperation.
Werecommend that anyusernotfamiliarwith
carpet cleaning shouldread theseuser
instructionsfullybeforeusing the machine.

Thismachine mustonlybe used forthe
manufacturer’sapproved application.The
HydromistLiteisdesigned forthe cleaning and
removalofnormalcarpetsoil.Donotuse the
machine whereitissuspected thatthe carpetor
upholstery containshealthendangering dustor
debrissuchasasbestosorchemicalwaste.If
thisissuspected do notproceed,contactyour
supervisororTruvoxInternational foradvice.
The following instructionscontainimportant
information aboutthe machine and safetyadvice
forthe operator.
Equipmentmustbe operated,serviced and
maintained inaccordancewiththe
manufacturer’sinstructions.Ifin doubtcontact
thesupplier ofyourmachine.
1.1ImportantSafetyAdvice
When using electrical equipmentbasicsafety
precautionsshouldbe followed including the
following.
•Read allinstructionscarefullybeforeuse.
•Keep children and unauthorised persons
awayfromthe machine when inuse.
•Donot leavethe machine connected tothe
electricitysupplywhen notinuse;always
removethe plug fromthe socket-outlet.
•Switchoff the machine beforeremoving the
plug.
•When unplugging pullthe plug,notthe supply
cord.
•Donot operateswitchesortouchthe mains
plug withwet handsasthismaycauseelectric
shock.
•Donot operatethe machine withadamaged
supplycordorplug,orafterthe machine
malfunctionsorisdamaged inanyway.

repairoradjustment.
•The plug ofthe powersupplycordmustbe
removed fromthe socket-outletbefore
commencing cleaning ofthe machine or
undertaking maintenanceoperations.
•The powersupplycordmustbe regularly
inspected forsignsofdamage.Ifthe power
supplycordisdamaged,itmust be replaced.
•Do not usewherehazardousdust ispresent.
•Do not useinan explosiveatmosphere.
•Donot pickup oilorotherflammablematerial
withthe machine
•Takecarewhen using amachine nearthe top
of stairstoavoidoverbalancing.
1.2Guidelines fortheoperator
•Operatorsmustbe fullytrained intheuseof
the machine inaccordancewiththese
instructions,abletoperformuser
maintenanceand the correctselection of
accessories.
•Operatorsshouldbe physicallycapableto
manoeuvre,transportand operatethe
machine.
•Operatorsshouldbeabletorecognise
unusualoperation ofthe machine and report
anyproblems.
•Wearsuitablefootweartoavoidslipping.
•Wearsuitableclothingtokeep dryand warm.
•Wherepossibleimplementjob rotation and
adequaterest periodstoavoidcontinuoususe
of the samemuscles.
•Do not leavethe machine running unattended
•Donot allowchildren tocrawlon carpetsuntil
thoroughlydry
•Keep cleaningsolutionsawayfromchildren
and petsat alltimes
•Do not smokewhen using the machine.
•CAUTION -Thismachine isforindooruse
onlyand shouldnotbe usedorstored
outdoorsorinwet conditions.
•WARNING –Shouldwateremitfromthe
machine exhaust switchoff immediately and
refertoinstructionsfor UsingtheMachine
1.3Transportingthemachine
When transporting the machine ensurethatall
components,tanksand removablepartsare
securelyfastened,and thatthe supplycordand
plug arenot trailing. Detachhoseand wandfrom
machine foreaseof carriage.
Donot lift ortransportthe machine whilst
containing liquidasthiswilladd considerablyto
the weight.
Takeextremecarewhen moving the machine up
ordownstepsorstairs.
CAUTION –Incorrectlifting techniquesmay
resultinpersonalinjury.Weadvisethatthe
manual handling regulationsarefollowed.
