The CLS DMX4 dimmer

How to start:
 First of all - You have to find out what power outlet connector you should use for 
connecting the CLS DMX4 dimmer to the outlet from the powersource.
 The connector depend on how much power the CLS DMX4 dimmer should handle.
 
 230V total power with all 4 channels on full.
  10A=2300W
  16A=3600W
  20A=4600W

 This means that you have to count the power of all the lamps that you want to connect 
 to the CLS DMX4 dimmer.
 Ex1: 4xPar56 with CP300=4x300W=1200W total. You need a connector for 10A.
 Ex2: 8xPar56(2 on each channel) with CP300=8x300W=2400W total. You need a 
  connector for 16A.
 Ex3: 4xPar64 with CP62=4x1000W=4000W total. Normally you need a connector 
  for 20A to run all of them on full power. The CLS DMX4 dimmer has a special 
  function. If you turn on the Dip-switch nr. 10, you will be able to use it on a 
  16A outlets without any risk of blowing the 16A fuse. Seedetails about Dip-
  switch settings.
Important: DO NEVER CONNECT MORE THAN 1000W ON EACH CHANNEL
  OUTPUTS, EVEN IF YOU DON'T USE IT ON FULL POWER. THE UNIT 
  WILL BE DAMAGED !!!
 Connection: Blue:N - Brown:L - Green/Yellow:Ground
Important: ALWAYS MAKE ALL THE CONNECTIONS BEFORE CONNECTING 
  THE POWER !

Dip-Switch Settings:
 Dip-switches is a row with small switches that will change the way The CLS DMX 4 
dimmer should work. The effect of the settings will take action immediately.
Dip-switch nr. 1-9:
 DMX start address. This means what is the first channel number on The CLS DMX 4 
 Channel Dimmer. Remember that the unit use 4 channels.
 If you set the first channel as number 1, The CLS DMX 4 Channel Dimmer will use 
channel 1-4. The second unit should be set to number 5. The CLS DMX 4 Channel 
 Dimmer will then use channel 5-8. The next 9, and so on.....up to 512.
Example: Channel 1=Dipswitch 1 on
Channel 10=Dipswitch 2+4 on
  Channel 21=Dipswitch 1+3+5 on
  Channel 74=Dipswitch 2+4+7 on
Dip-switch nr. 10:
 With this Dip-switch set to on, The CLS DMX 4 Channel Dimmer will dim down the 
 outputs 10%. It will protect you from blowing the 16A fuse if you are using 4 pcs of 
 1000W lamps in full power on The CLS DMX 4 Channel Dimmer and take the power 
 from an 16A outlet.
Dip-switch nr. 11:
 This Dip-switch will change The CLS DMX 4 Channel Dimmer to a complete  
 4x1000W switch-pack. It is useful for connecting light-effect-machines that should not 
 be dimmed down. 0-49% on the mixer fader gives 0 and 50-100% gives full power.
Dip-switch nr. 12:
Test. Runs a test as a chaser twise before it goes back to normal mode.

The CLS DMX 4 Channel Dimmer
Directions for use:
 The CLS DMX 4 Channel Dimmer is a high class quality product, and it is constructed 
 solid to be used "on the road" for years.
 It looks very small to be used proffesional in theatres and big stages, but that's just the 
 look. It could be used in near every situations that are in the need of dimmers or 
 switchpacks, or combinations of it.
 A band, schooltheatre, disco, rent out systems, small stages, small theatre, big stages, 
 big theatre, installations, rock'n roll bands, shows of everything that need dimmers, 
 exebitions, shop windows etc...... It is the same units in a small setup as in a big.
 Just add more units in a big setup!
