HbA1c or Lipid Single Test:
1. Connect the power cable to supply power to the instrument.
2. Turn the instrument on by sliding the on/off button on the right hand side of the instrument.
3. Wait until the instrument warms up and the main menu is displayed.
4. Select Patient Test, enter patient ID and then select Single Test. Refer to Fig 1
5. Open HbA1c or Lipid disc pouch to remove disc and open disc completely.
6. Using the single use lancet device, (Accu-Chek®Safe-T-Pro) lance the side of the fingertip.
Wipe away the first drop of blood. Obtain 2μL drop of blood for HbA1c or 19μL for Lipids
Refer to Fig 2
7. With the front of the disc facing upwards, position the disc’s suction point above the
drop of blood. Apply blood within 15 seconds of lancing the finger and observe that it
has filled the marked area. Refer to diagram
8. Check the sample volume: turn the disc on its backside. The area marked in blue has to
be filled completely with blood. Refer to diagram
9. To close the disk press the hinge cover down firmly until two clicks are heard.
10. Open the lid by selecting Open on the screen. Refer to Fig 3
11. With the disc facing upwards, place it on the spindle within the white circle. Refer to Fig 4
12. Close lid. The measurement starts automatically and takes about 5 minutes. Refer to Fig 5
13. Finish test by selecting √on the screen.
14. Remove the disc and dispose all used consumables according to your biohazard guidelines.
15. Clean the instrument as per the cleaning procedure.

HbA1c and Lipid Dual Test:
1. Connect the power cable to supply power to the instrument.
2. Turn the instrument on by sliding the on/off button on the right hand side of the instrument.
3. Wait until the instrument warms up and the main menu is displayed.
4. Select Patient Test, enter patient ID and then select Dual Test.
5. Open Lipid disc pouch to remove disc and open disc completely.
6. Using the single use lancet device, (Accu-Chek®Safe-T-Pro) lance the side of the fingertip.
Wipe away the first drop of blood. Obtain 19μL drop of blood.
7. With the front of the disc facing upwards, position the disc’s suction point above the drop of blood.
Apply blood within 15 seconds of lancing the finger and observe that it has filled the marked area.
8. Check the sample volume: turn the disc on its backside. The area marked in blue has to be filled
completely with blood.
9. To close the disk press the hinge cover down firmly until two clicks are heard.
10. Put Lipid disc aside.
11. Open HbA1c disc pouch to remove disc and open disc completely.
12. Apply 2μL drop of blood directly to the disc from the previously lanced finger, make sure the blood has filled
the marked area.
13. Check the sample volume: turn the disc on its backside. The area marked in blue has to be filled completely
with blood.
14. Open the lid by selecting Open on the screen. Insert HbA1c disc immediately.
15. With the disc facing upwards, place it on the spindle within the white circle.
16. Close lid. The measurement starts automatically and takes about 5 minutes.
17. Wait for message ‘HbA1c Test completed’ and you hear the beep. Open lid and remove HbA1c disc.
18. Insert Lipid disc immediately. Close lid. The measurement starts automatically and takes about 6
minutes.
19. HbA1c and Lipid test results are displayed.
20. Finish test by selecting √on the screen.
21. Remove the disc and dispose all used consumables according to your biohazard guidelines.
22. Clean the instrument as per the cleaning procedure.
