Safety
• Theproduct may be used by children aged 8 years and above and by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capability or lack of experience and knowledge provided they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of theproduct in asafe way and
understand thehazards involved.
• Never let children play with theproduct.
• This product is only intended for domestic use and only in themanner described in this
instruction manual.
• Theproduct should only be connected to a230 V, 50 Hz outlet protected by a30mA RCD.
Check theRCD before each use.
• Do not subject theproduct to continuous humidity, sunlight or sources of heat, such as
stoves or open fire.
• Never immerse theproduct in water or other liquid.
• Never use theproduct if your hands are moist or wet.
• Always grip theplug when unplugging theproduct, never pull themains lead.
• Unplug theproduct immediately if themotor gets wet or becomes damp.
• Theproduct must only be used to vacuum up substances which are not harmful to health.
Theproduct must never be used to vacuum combustible or flammable liquids.
• Never point thenozzle at yourself, other persons or animals.
• Never use theproduct without thedust bag and filter when dry vacuuming.
• Never use theproduct if it, its mains lead or plug is damaged in any way.
• If themains lead has been damaged, it must only be replaced by themanufacturer, authorised
service facility or qualified tradesman. This is to prevent therisk of electric shock or fire.
• Never vacuum anything that is smoking or smouldering such as hot ashes or coals.
Never vacuum up pointed or sharp objects such ashards of glass.
• Do not vacuum up thetoner powder used in photocopiers and printers. Such powder can damage
theproduct and may even pass through theproduct and be redistributed back into theroom.
• Never vacuum pieces of asbestos, asbestos dust or other toxic or flammable dust.
• Never vacuum up petrol, oil, acid or other flammable or toxic liquids.
• Theproduct must always be used in anupright and stable position.
• Always unplug themains lead before cleaning, changing thedust bag, filter or any other accessories.
• Never attempt to repair or modify theproduct in any way.
