Connecting your TiVo®PVR

Configurating your TiVo PVR
Connect the coaxial cable from the wall outlet to the MoCA input
of your TiVo.
Connect the TiVo HDMI output to one of your TV HDMI inputs with
the HDMI cable provided with your device.
Connect the power supply to your wall power outlet.
Take note of the HDMI input used. (e.g. HDMI-1).
Press on the INPUT or SOURCE button of your HDTV remote.
Once you see the welcome screen, you’ll then be ready to start
the activation process.

After having connected your TiVo PVR to your television, use your remote and follow the following steps to
activate your device.
1. Press on the “TiVo” button from your remote to
access the home page and go to “MENU”.
4. Select “Repeat Guided Setup”.
7. Select your preferred language. 8. Select “Begin Guided Setup”.
2. Go to “HELP”.
5. A new window will appear. You need to press 3 times
on the red thumb button and then once on Enter (last
one on the bottom right of the remote).
3. Select “Reset to Defaults”.
6. Select “Canada”.
9. Enter the postal code, as indicated in the received
email “XYZ XYZ”.

13. Please wait.
16. Select “Press OK/SELECT to begin connection”.
19. Select the cable provider indicated in the
received email.
17. Please wait for several minutes for all stages to
complete, then select “Press OK/SELECT to continue”.
20. Select “Yes” on this step. You’ll then have to select
which premium channels you’re subscribed to. If you
do not see this step, skip to the next one.
11. Select “MoCA connection”.
Some installations use a network cable (blue or
yellow) instead of a coaxial. If this is your case, select
“Ethernet connection”.
10. Select “Continue Guided Setup”. 12. Select “Continue”.
15. Select “Press OK/SELECT to continue”.
14. Select “Get automatically from a DHCP server
(typical)”.
18. Choose a name from the list or enter your own.
21. Validate all premium channels you subscribe to.
22. Select “Press OK/SELECT to continue”. 23. Select “Press OK/SELECT to begin connection”.
24. Please wait for several minutes for all stages to
complete, then select “Press OK/SELECT to continue”.

25. Select “OK/SELECT to continue”.
26. You have completed Guided Setup. Press the TiVo
button to continue.

You must now pair your remote to your new cable box.
Press and hold down the TiVo and Back buttons simultaneously on your
remote until the light blinks yellow, then bring it near the cable box. The light
will stop blinking once it is paired.
1. To activate your channels, you’ll need to sign in to myaccount.cogeco.ca
Now that your main TiVo device is connected and functional, if you have TiVo Minis, for each one you’ll need to
follow the Minis guided procedure that you’ve received within the same email.

Accept user agreements and click “Activate”.
2. If after one hour your channels remain deactivated on
your screen, contact technical support at 1-855-701-4881.
Go to “TV”section, then “View my equipment”.
Click “Activate/Reactivate”on the TiVo Gateway line.
