Safety
• This appliance is only intended for normal household use.
• Only operate theappliance using thesupplied base.
• Do not use theappliance if it has been damaged. Turntheappliance off immediately
and unplug it at thefirst sign of and damage, such as unusual noises or smells.
• Never use theappliance if it has been damaged in anyway.
• Do not lay themains lead over hot surfaces, sharp edges or let it come into
contact with thehot sides of thepercolator.
• Always hold theplug when unplugging theappliance from thewall socket, not
thelead.
• Only connect themains lead to a230 V wall socket.
• Place theappliance on astable, flat and heatproof surface. Donot place
theappliance close to theedge of atable or onto asurface such as anelectric hob.
• The appliance should only be used and kept indoors.
• Do not touch themetallic surfaces of thepercolator during or straight after brewing
as they will behot.
• This appliance must not be used by anyone (including children) suffering from
physical or mental impairment. Thisappliance should not be used by anyone that
has not read theinstruction manual unless they have been instructed in its use by
someone who will take responsibility for their safety.
• Never tamper with or modify theappliance in anyway.
• Do not insert objects into theopenings of theappliance.
Operation
Before initial use
1. Wash and rinse thepercolator, coffee basket, lid and tube in warm water.
Letthepartsdry.
2. Boil some water in thepercolator with thetube and coffee basket in place until
theindicator light comeson.
3. Switch thepercolator off and unplug it from thewall socket. Emptythewater out.
Letthepercolator cool down before brewing any coffee.
Note: Neverimmerse thepercolator, base or power lead inwater.

Note: Whenremoving thelid, always hold theknob and pull thelid straight up.
Theknob can become damaged if thelid is pulled up at anangle. Donot use
thepercolator if theknob has been damaged.
Before percolating and pouring
Make sure that thelid is fitted tightly.
During percolation
Never remove thelid during percolation.
Water capacity
Never fill thepercolator with less than 2 cups or more than 8 cups ofwater.
Cleaning the level tube
There is asmall rubber bung plugging ahole in thetop of thehandle. Pryout thebung
using asuitable object and clean theinside of thelevel tube with apipe cleaner or similar.
Hints and advice
• You can use either medium-ground or coarsely-ground coffee in thepercolator.
Ifyou use coarsely-ground coffee you should use alittle more than medium-
ground coffee for thesame strength.
• It is possible to buy coarsely-ground coffee specially suited for percolators.
• Finely-ground coffee is likely to leave sediment at thebottom of thepercolator.
Leavethecoffee to stand for afew minutes to let thesediment sink to thebottom.
• Rinse thecoffee basket with cold water before brewing to prevent coffee grounds
from falling down into thepercolator.
• Do not overfill thecoffee basket. Alwaysleave agap of 1 cm to therim of thebasket.
Percolating
Note: Alwaysmake sure that thepercolator is unplugged when you are filling it with
water and coffee.
1. Lift thepercolator off thebase and fill it with thedesired amount of coldwater.
2. Look at thewater level tube in thehandle or thelevel markings inside
thepercolator. Alwaysfill with at least two cups of water for thebest results.
Usingless water could lead to thepercolator boiling dry.
3. Fill thecoffee basket with thedesired amount of coffee (usually 1 measure percup).
Distribute thecoffee evenly and put thespreader plate over thebasket.
4. Place thecoffee basket onto thetube. Placetheassembled parts into thepercolator.
5. Make sure that thetube holding thecoffee basket and spreader plate is placed in
thecentre of thepercolator.
6. Press thelid on firmly and place thepercolator onto thebase.
7. Plug themains lead into anearthed wall socket.

8. Switch thepercolator on using theon/off switch on thebase. Theindicator light
inside theswitch comes on when thepercolator is switched on.
9. The coffee is ready when theindicator light on thepercolator comeson.
10. Always unplug themains lead afteruse.
Note: Itis important that theappliance is not plugged in until thepercolator is
ready for brewing and thepercolator lid is securely in place. Alwayskeep aneye
onthepercolator during use.
Warming
• The coffee will stay warm for as long as themains lead is connected.
• If thepercolator pot is used for reheating cold coffee, thetube and coffee basket
must be removed first. Neverreheat or keep warm less than 4 cups of coffee.
• Always unplug themains lead afteruse.
Care and maintenance
• Clean theappliance carefully and regularly. Adirty appliance could pose ahealth
hazard. Unplugthemains lead from thewall socket and let theappliance cool off
before cleaning it.
• The appliance should be descaled regularly. Failure to do so could cause
theappliance to malfunction and be hazardous.
• Do not expose theheating element, plug or mains lead towater.
• Never immerse thepercolator in water or other liquid and protect it from drips
andsplashes.
• Always pull theplug out of thewall socket when theappliance is not inuse.
Note: Limescale deposits can affect theperformance of theappliance and even
damage it. Itis therefore important that it is descaled regularly.
Descaling
1. Fill thepercolator with 4½ cups of water. Insertthetube and coffee basket.
2. Let thewater boil for 5 minutes to make it really hot.
3. Pull out theplug from thewall socket.
4. Add adescaling agent and leave it to work for 6 hours. Followtheinstructions on
thepacket of thedescaling agent for thecorrect dosage.
5. Empty thepercolator and rinse it thoroughly.
6. Boil some water in thepercolator with thetube and coffee basket in place until
theindicator light comeson.
7. Switch thepercolator off and unplug it from thewall socket. Emptythewaterout.
8. Wipe theoutside of thepercolator with adamp cloth to remove any splashes
which could spoil thefinish.
9. The percolator is now ready touse.
Note: Useonly food-grade descaling agents inside thepercolator. Neverboil thewater
with thedescaling agent mixedin.

Troubleshooting guide
The percolator will
not switch on.
• Check that themains lead is properly plugged into
awall socket.
• Is thewall socket live?
• Make sure that thepercolator is sitting properly
onthebase.
• Check themains lead for damage.
The coffee is too
weak or too strong.
• The percolator is still warm from previous brewing or
cleaning. Letit cool down before using itagain.
• Something is blocking thetube.
• The washer at thebottom of thetube isstuck.
• Hard water, use adarker roast of coffee.
• The coffee was brewed using warmwater.
Disposal
This appliance should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
Ifyou are unsure how to proceed, contact your local authority.

Säkerhet
• Apparaten är endast avsedd för normal användning ihemmet.
• Apparaten får endast användas med den medföljande bottenplattan.
• Använd inte apparaten om den är skadad. Stängomedelbart av den och dra
stickkontakten ur vägguttaget vid första tecken på skada, onormalt ljud ellerlukt.
• Använd inte apparaten om nätsladden på något sätt är skadad.
• Placera inte nätsladden nära heta ytor, skarpa kanter eller andra vassa föremål.
Låtden inte heller komma ikontakt med bryggarens varma utsida.
• Ta alltid tag istickkontakten när den ska dras ur vägguttaget, inte sladden.
• Apparaten får endast anslutas till ettvägguttag som har 230V.
• Placera apparaten så att den står stadigt på enplan och värmetålig yta.
Placeraden inte nära bordskanten eller på heta ytor, plattor ellerdyl.
• Apparaten får endast användas och förvaras inomhus.
• Rör inte vid perkolatorns varma utsida under och strax efter bryggningen.
• Produkten får inte användas av personer (inklusive barn) med nedsatt fysisk eller
mental förmåga. Denfår inte heller användas av personer utan tillräcklig erfarenhet
och kunskap ifall de inte har fått instruktioner om användningen av någon som
ansvarar för deras säkerhet.
• Försök inte förändra apparaten på någotsätt.
• För inte in föremål iapparatens öppningar.
Användning
Före första användning
1. Rengör och skölj perkolatorn, kaffebehållaren, locket och stigröret med varmt
vatten. Låtdelarna torka.
2. Koka igenom vatten iperkolatorn med stigröret och kaffebehållaren på plats tills
signallampan tänds.
3. Stäng av och dra ur stickkontakten ur vägguttaget. Slåav vattnet. Låtperkolatorn
svalna före kaffebryggningen.
Obs! Sänkaldrig ner kannan, bottenplattan eller nätsladden ivatten.
Obs! Draalltid perkolatorns lock rakt upp. Hålliknoppen på locket. Knoppen kan
skadas om locket dras upp snett. Användinte perkolatorn om knoppen är skadad.

Före bryggning och servering
Kontrollera att kannans lock är rätt placerat och sitter på ordentligt.
Under pågående bryggning
Ta inte bort kannans lock under bryggningen!
Vattenmängd
Fyll aldrig imindre än 2 eller mer än 8 koppar vatten.
Rengöring av nivåröret
Överst på handtaget finns etthål där det sitter engummiplugg. Petaur denna med
lämpligt föremål och rengör nivåröret med t.ex. enpiprensare.
Tips och råd
• Du kan använda såväl bryggmalet som kokmalet kaffe iperkolatorn. Mätupp
lite större mängd kokmalet kaffe för att få samma styrka som vid användning av
bryggmalet kaffe.
• Det finns speciellt grovmalet kaffe anpassat för perkolatorer.
• Om finmalet kaffe används kan det uppstå lite kaffesump ibotten av perkolatorn.
Låtkaffet stå inågra minuter när bryggningen är klar, så sjunker sumpen till botten.
• Skölj kaffebehållaren med kallt vatten före bryggning för att förhindra att kaffesump
faller ner ikannan.
• Överdosera inte kaffebehållaren. Lämnaalltid minst 1 cm kvar till ovankanten.
Kaffebryggning
Obs! Kontrollera alltid att nätsladden inte är ansluten till vägguttaget när perkolatorn
ska förberedas för bryggning.
1. Lyft av perkolatorn från bottenplattan och fyll på med önskad mängd kallt vatten.
2. Se vattennivån pånivåröret ihandtaget eller på nivåmarkeringen inne ikannan.
Fyllalltid iminst 2 koppar för bästa resultat. Mindrevatten ger risk för torrkokning.
3. Fyll kaffebehållaren med önskad mängd kaffe (1 mått per kopp). Fördela kaffet
jämnt och sätt på locket.
4. Sätt kaffebehållaren på stigröret. Placera delarna tillsammans iperkolatorn.
5. Kontrollera att stigröret, med kaffebehållare och lock, är placerat icentrum av
perkolatorns botten.
6. Sätt på kannans lock ordentligt och placera perkolatorn på bottenplattan.
7. Sätt stickkontakten iett jordat vägguttag.
8. Starta bryggningen genom att trycka på bottenplattans strömbrytare.
Strömbrytaren lyser när perkolatorn är påslagen.
9. Kaffet är klart när signallampan på kannan tänds.
10. Dra ur stickkontakten ur vägguttaget efter användning.

Obs! Detär viktigt att stickkontakten inte sätts ivägguttaget förrän perkolatorn är klar
för bryggning och kannans lock sitter på ordentligt. Hållalltid uppsikt över perkolatorn
under användning.
Varmhållning
• Kaffet håller sig varmt ikannan så länge nätsladden är ansluten.
• Om kallt kaffe ska värmas upp, måste stigrör och kaffebehållare plockas ur
kannan. Minimum 4 koppar kan värmas.
• Dra ur stickkontakten ur vägguttaget efter användning.
Skötsel och underhåll
• Rengör apparaten noga och regelbundet. Ensmutsig apparat kan utgöra enhälsorisk.
Drastickkontakten ur vägguttaget och låt apparaten kallna före rengöring.
• Avkalka apparaten regelbundet. Apparaten kan annars skadas och utgöra
enhälsorisk.
• Skydda värmeelementen, stickkontakten och nätsladden från väta ochfukt.
• Sänk aldrig ner apparaten ivatten eller annan vätska. Skyddaapparaten från
stänkochdropp.
• Dra alltid ur stickkontakten ur vägguttaget när perkolatorn inte används.
Obs! Kalkavlagringar kan förorsaka skador på apparaten eller göra att den fungerar
dåligt. Detär därför viktigt att avkalka den regelbundet.
Avkalkning
1. Fyll i4,5 koppar vatten. Sättistigrör och kaffebehållare iperkolatorn.
2. Koka igenom vattnet ca 5 minuter så det blir riktigt varmt.
3. Dra ur stickkontakten ur vägguttaget.
4. Tillsätt avkalkningsmedel och låt stå 6 timmar. Doseraenligt anvisningarna på
avkalkningsmedlets förpackning.
5. Töm perkolatorn och sköljnoga.
6. Koka igenom vatten iperkolatorn, med stigrör och kaffebehållare på plats, tills
lampan tänds.
7. Stäng av och dra ur stickkontakten ur vägguttaget. Slåav vattnet.
8. Torka av perkolatorns utsida med enfuktig trasa för att avlägsna eventuella
stänksom kan skada finishen.
9. Perkolatorn är nu åter klar att använda.
Obs! Användendast avkalkningsmedel som godkänts för användning isamband med
matvaror. Kokaaldrig upp vatten med avkalkningsmedel i.

Felsökningsschema
Perkolatorn startar inte. • Kontrollera att nätkabeln är ordentligt ansluten till
vägguttaget.
• Finns det ström ivägguttaget?
• Se till att perkolatorn har ordentlig kontakt med
bottenplattan.
• Kontrollera att nätkabeln ärhel.
Kaffet blir för svagt eller
för starkt.
• Perkolatorn är varm från tidigare bryggning eller
rengöring. Låtden svalna innan den används pånytt.
• Främmande föremål har fastnat istigröret.
• Brickan ibotten på stigröret har fastnat.
• Vattnet är ovanligt hårt, använd enmörkare rostning.
• Kaffet är bryggt på för varmt vatten.
Avfallshantering
När du ska göra dig av med produkten ska detta ske enligt lokala föreskrifter.
