Slatted Headboard Assembly Instructions
The Slatted Headboard comes with (4) or (5) Safety Rail Slats that are separated by ½”. You can also optionally order
Double Bookshelves with it. The number of Safety Rail Slats needed is based on the height of the bed and the number of
Safety Rails ordered based on the mattress thickness.
The Safety Rail Slat Length: Twin-44”; Full 59”; Queen 65”.
The legs for the headboard end are made taller to hold the Slatted Headboard. Starting from the top of the legs install the
Safety Rail Slat into the back of the legs with (4) 1-5/8” screws. Use the ½” spacer provided to space out the next slat.
Install all slats.
If you also ordered the Double Bookshelf, the top and third slat will be the backboards for the shelves. Please see next
page for installation instructions.

Double Bookshelf Parts List
(2) Shelves (4) Shelf Supports 2x2x5-1/2” 1-5/8” Screws 2-1/2” Screws
In the diagrams below we have removed the middle Safety Rail Slats for clarity.
Following the diagram below, attach (2) 2x2x5-1/2” Shelf Supports 11-1/2” from the top of the legs with 2-1/2” screws.
Attach the shelf to the Supports with 1-5/8” screws. Now attach the Shelf Supports 3-1/2” from the top and follow the
same procedure.
Install the Backboards to the back of the shelves. Use 1-5/8” screws at the ends when screwing into the Legs and 1-1/4”
screws when screwing into the shelf.
