9. Avoidtheuseofanextensioncordbecausetheextensioncordmayoverheatandc au se

1. Carefullyremoveyourheaterfrombox.(PleaseSAVEtheBoxforoff
seasonstorage).
2. MakesuretheheaterisswitchedOFFbeforepluggingtheheaterintothe
outlet.Connecttoproperlygroundedoutletsonly.Note:Thepowercord
hasapolarizedplug(withonebladewiderthantheother)thatwillonlyfit
inapolarizedoutletoneway.Ifitdoesnotinserteasilytryreversingthe
plug.Ifitstilldoesnotfitcontactyourelectriciantoreplaceyouroutlet.DO
NOTdefeatthesafetypurposeofthepolarizedplug.
3. Placeheateronlyonafirmlevelsurface,freefromobstructionsandat
least3ft.awayfromanywallorotherobjectssuchascurtains,plants,etc.
4. Avoidoverloadingyourcircuitbynotusingotherhighwattageappliances
inthesameoutlet.
HOWTOUSEYOURHEATER
1. Completelyuncoilthecordandplugheaterdirectlyintoa110~120Volt
groundedACwalloutlet.Besuretheplugfitstightly.Aloosefitwillcause
overheatinganddamagetheplug.Plugandcordmayfeelwarmduring
normalusage.Avoidextensioncords.(See#9above)
2. ChooseyourPowerSetting:
High,Low,FanorOFF.UsetheHIGHsettingtowarmtheroomquickly.
Afteryourcomfortlevelhasbeenachievedyoumaywanttoswitchtothe
LOWsettingtoconserveelectricity.
3. Thermostat:Turntohighestsetting(clockwise)untildesiredroom
temperatureisreached.Slowlyrotatetheknobcounterclockwise
untiltheheatercyclesOFF.AtthisSETPOINTtheheaterwill
cycleONandOFFtomaintainthiscomfortlevel.
FANONLYOPERATION
1. SimplyturnthecontrolknobtotheFANsettingtoenjoythegentlebreeze.

Usethisheateronlyasdescribedinthismanual.Anyotherusenot
recommendedbythemanufacturermaycauseFIRE,ELECTRICSHOCK
orinjurytopersons.

turnedtoFAN,HIGHorLOW.
· ThisheaterisequippedwithanAUTOMATICOVERHEATSAFETY
DEVICEthatwillturntheheaterOFFshouldtheinternaltemperatureof
theheaterexceednormallevels.Toresetthisdevicesimplyunplugthe
heaterfor30minutes,clearanyobstructions,settheheateronalevel
surface,thenfollowtheoperatinginstructionsfoundinthismanual.
· Thisheaterisequippedwithasafetytipoverswitchwhichautomatically
shutsofftheheaterelementiftheheaterisnotintheuprightposition.The
heaterwillresumebacktonormalwhenitisreturnedtotheupright
position.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Ifyourheaterfailstooperate,pleasedothefollowing:
· Reviewtheseinstructionstoinsureyouunderstandthebasicoperations
andfeaturesofyourheater.(Example:OverheatProtection)
· Checkyourcircuitbreakerorfuseforproperoperation.
· Checkforobstructions.Unplugtheheaterfor30minutes,clearany
obstructionsandrestarttheheater.
CLEANINGANDSTORAGE
Dust,dirt,petfur,etccandiminishyourheatersperformanceandcanleadto
unwantedodors.Forbestperformancecleanyourheaterfrequently,atleast
onceperseason.ALWAYSTURNOFFANDUNPLUGTHEHEATER
BEFORECLEANING.
· TurnHeaterOFF,unplugitandwaitfortheheatertobecomecool.
· Useadryclothtocleanonlyexternalsurfacesoftheheater.
· Avacuumwithsoftbrushmayusedtocleanlouveredareas.
· Wrapandtiethecordtoprotectitfromdamage.
· Repacktheheaterinitsoriginalcartonandstoreitindryplace.
NEVERattempttoopenorservicetheheateryourself.Doingsomaycause
