Thank you for choosing an Comfort Zone® humidifier. To ensure the best
performance from your product, please read and save the following instructions.
WHEN USING ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES, BASIC PRECAUTIONS SHOULD
ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK
AND INJURY TO PERSON, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:
l This humidifier is for indoor use only. Do not use in wet or damp locations such
as bathrooms, laundry areas or other similar indoor locations. Never locate
humidifier where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
l Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may overheat
and cause risk of fire. However, if you must use an extension cord, the cord
shall be No.14AWG minimum size and rated not less than 1875 watts.
l Do not run the cord under carpeting. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs,
runners or the like. Arrange cord away from a traffic area so it will not be
tripped over.
l Do not use this product if parts are missing. Do not use this unit if the power
cord shows signs of damage or wear or if the unit has been dropped or
misused.
l Use this unit on a flat, level surface only. If unit is placed on a non-level
surface, this unit may not function properly or water may overflow from the
water flume.
l Place this humidifier on a water-resistant surface.
l Be sure to turn off and unplug this unit when not in use or when cleaning or
reinserting the aroma dispenser (if this feature is included in your model).
l Never tip or move this appliance while it is operating or while water is in the
base or tank.
l This humidifier is not to be serviced or repaired by anyone except the
manufacturer or service/repair facilities authorized by the manufacturer. Never
disassemble your humidifier. Doing so will void your warranty and possibly
allow water it get into sealed parts.

l Do not use this humidifier with timers, programmers or any other automatically
controlled devices.
l Use this humidifier in the manner described in this operations manual only. Not
following this manual may cause damage to the humidifier, may create a fire
hazard, electrical shock, or injury to persons or property.
l Do not place this humidifier near furnaces, heaters, stoves, or any other
source of heat.
l Position this humidifier out of the reach of children and pets.
l This humidifier requires periodic maintenance. Refer to those instructions
in this manual.
l DO NOT use anything other than water in this appliance. Do not use
additives.
l Turn off the humidifier if relative humidity exceeds 60%.
l Never block the mist outlet.
l Do not cover any part of this humidifier. Do not insert any object into any area
of this humidifier.
SET UP
Remove the tank, turn the tank upside-down and remove the fill cap by turning
counter-clockwise as shown on the tank. Fill the tank with cool water, for best
results use distilled or filtered water. Do not use hot water or additives. Replace
the water tank spring float cap by turning it clockwise; be sure not to over
tighten. Turn the tank upright and position the tank back on the housing. Be sure
the tank is seated properly in the housing. Water will begin to flow from the tank
into the water basin on the unit body.
The humidifier comes equipped with a
power adapter that is required to supply
power to the humidifier when in use.
Plug the rounded end of the adapter into
the adapter port located in the back of
the humidifier (See fig. 1). Plug adapters
two-pin power plug into a 120V AC wall
outlet.
OPERATION
The best working environment for
humidifier is between the temperatures of 41°F (5°C) and 104°F (40°C) and
relative humidity is lower than 60%RH. Turn the Mist Control Dial on the front of
the unit to adjust the mist output. The top of the tank has a directional output
orifice; simply turn the opening to the desired direction.

AROMA FUNCTION
1. Place the sponge that is included inside the box onto the center of the
tray.
2. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil onto the sponge.
3. Place the humidifier onto the tray.
4. Follow the instructions in the OPERATION section and turn on the
humidifier. The essential oil will incorporate into the cool mist and produce
fragrant mist.
5. To change the fragrance, simply wash the sponge with clean water and a
few drops of fragrant free dish washing soap. Apply a different fragrant oil
once the sponge is dried.
6. Remove the aroma tray to stop the fragrant mist operation.
CAUTION: If you start feeling light headed, nauseous, or any kind of discomfort,
stop operating the humidifier immediately and consult with a health care
professional.
REFILLING THE TANK
When the tank is empty, and the water reaches a minimum level in the tray, the
unit will automatically shut down and stop producing moisture. The green power
indicator light will turn to red color indicating that the tank is empty. Turn off and
unplug the power cord. Remove water tank spring float cap, refill the tank with
cool water, for best results, use distilled or filtered water. Do not use hot water
or chemical additives. Properly replace the tank, plug into an outlet and turn the
humidifier ON. Comfortable, soothing, visible cool mist will be produced
immediately.
CLEANING THE HUMIDIFIER
It is strongly recommended you clean your humidifier at least once a week or
more if you
• Have hard water.
• Notice a buildup of impurities on or in the tray, etc.
• Notice an unpleasant odor.
Always turn off and unplug the humidifier before cleaning.
Periodically wipe the outside of the humidifier with a damp or wet soft cloth. Do
not use harsh, abrasive cleaners on this humidifier. Never submerse the housing
in liquid or pour liquid in or on the housing. Doing so may damage the humidifier
and cause injuries.
From time to time mineral deposits will accumulate in and on the water basin.
When this occurs, the water basin should be cleaned.

CLEANING THE TANK
Put 1/2 teaspoon of chlorine bleach and 1/2 gallon of water in the tank. Let
solution set for about 20 minutes swishing every few minutes. Empty the tank and
rinse well with water until the bleach odor is gone. Be careful not to splash the
solution on surfaces/clothing that may get damaged by the cleaning solution. Do
not operate the humidifier with the chlorine bleach solution in the tank.
CLEANING THE TRAY
From time to time mineral deposits will accumulate in and on the water basin.
When this occurs, the water basin should be cleaned.
END OF SEASON CARE AND STORAGE
Empty the tank and tray of water. Clean all surfaces with a damp, soft cloth.
When completely dry, store the humidifier in its original carton, in a cool, dry,
clean location. Remember to clean and inspect your humidifier before using it the
next season.

LIMITED WARRANTY
This unit is guaranteed to the original retail purchaser against defects in quality
or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original purchase. If
this unit fails because of a manufacturing defect within 30 days of purchase,
return the unit, with your receipt, to the retailer. After 30 days, but within the
warranty period, if the unit was purchased within the continental United States,
return it, freight prepaid, to World and Main for repair or replacement. If the unit
was purchased outside the continental United States, return the unit to the
place of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse,
abuse, overheating or alteration. Repairs made by anyone other than World
and Main are not covered in this warranty. World and Main will not be held liable
for any losses due to neglectful operation. All implied warranties, including the
warranties of merchantability and of fitness of purpose, if applicable, are hereby
limited in duration to the period of one year from the date of original retail
purchase. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty
lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you. Incidental or consequential
damages arising from a breach of either express or implied warranties are
hereby disclaimed and excluded. Some states do not allow the exclusion of
limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation or exclusion
may not apply to you. Upon the expiration of this warranty all such liability will
terminate. No other warranties are expressed or implied.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights
which vary from state to state. No informal dispute settlement mechanisms are
available. This limited warranty is given in lieu of all other warranties.
