HOW TO ASSEMBLE THE SOLDERING HEAD
Insertthesolderingheadontothetorchnozzleandtighten
thelockingringinaclockwisedirection,donotover
tightenasyoumaycausedamage.Thesolderingheadcan
bemovedforwardandbackward.
Todisassemblethesolderinghead,rotatethelockingring
counterclockwise.
Youmayinstallvarioustipsontothehotblowerassembly
fordierentoperations,ifyouhaven’tpurchasedthekit
()andrequireadditional
tips,youcanpurchase
5whichwillprovideyouwithvarioustipsfora
varietyoftasks.

FUEL.
IGNITION AND EXTINGUISHING OF THE
SOLDERING IRON
Facetheexhaustventupwards,exhaustairwillcome
fromtheexhaustvent.
CAUTION:pleasekeepawayfromflammablesources
andawayfromotherpeople.Facingtheexhaustvent
downwards,willdamagethesurfaceofadeskortable
top.
MovetheON/OFFswitchtotheONpositiontoreleasethe
gas.
Pullthesolderingheadforwardtoexposetheignition
vent,pleasebecarefulifthetoolhasbeenrecentlyused
asthesolderingheadmaystillbeHOT.Thenlightthegas
withanopenflame(e.g.Lighterormatch)byapplyingthe
flametotheignitionventofthesolderinghead.
Pullthesolderingheadbackwards,theflamewillthen
disappearinsidethemetalsleeve,butthegaswill
continueflowingthroughthesolderingheadandgenerate
heat.
MovetheON/OFFswitchtotheOFFpositiontoextinguish
theSlimlinesolderingiron/torch.
IGNITION AND EXTINGUISHING OF THE GAS TORCH
MovetheON/OFFswitchtotheONpositiontoreleasethe
gas.
Lightthegaswithanopenflame(e.g.Lighterormatch)by
applyingtheflametothetorchnozzle.
MovetheON/OFFswitchtotheOFFpositiontoextinguish
theflame.

IGNITIONANDEXTINGUISHINGOFTHEHOTBLOWER
Disassemblethesolderingtipbyrotatingthetip
clockwise,pleaseensurethetipiscoolbeforeattempting
this.
Theassemblycannowbeusedasahotblowerwithout
thesolderingtip.
OperationwillbethesameasabovefortheSoldering
iron.
FLAME ADJUSTMENT
Movethegasadjustmentlevertowardthe“4”positionto
increasetheflamestrengthortowardthe“1”positionto
decreasetheflamestrength.
Settingtheflameinthe“4”positioncouldcausethe
torchtoflareorextinguish,ifthishappensmovethegas
adjustmentlevertowardsthe“1”positionslightlyuntil
thedesiredflamestrengthisachieved.
FILLING/REFILLINGTHEGAS

Refillingbyaninadequatemethodmayleadtoaserious
accident,pleasefollowinstructionscarefully.
Beforerefilling,pleasemakesuretheflameisfully
extinguishedandcooleddown.MovetheON/OFFswitch
totheOFFposition.
RefilltheSlimlinesolderingiron/torchinawellventilated
area,awayfromanysourceofignitionandawayfrom
otherpeople.DONOTsmokewhistrefillingthetorch.
Refillwithbutanegasonlyandneveruseunapproved
fuels.WerecommendCommandGasButanegasrefill
200g,Partnumber207078.
Placethesolderingiron/torchinanupsidedownposition
andinsertthenozzleofthebutanerefillcartridgeintothe
gasrefillingvalveatthebottomofthetool.
Pressdowngentlyonthecartridgeuntilthegasstartsto
overflow.
Aerrefilling,pleaseallowthetooltositforafewminutes
toallowthegastostabilizebeforeoperatingandbeaware
thatsomebutanemayhavespilledontothesurfaceofthe
deskorgloves,clothes,paperorwoodnearby.
