G8-TEL / G3-TEL Auto-dialler mode
2.0/0817 9
Auto-dialler mode
In auto-dialler mode, a call from an Intercom station or an input message will be transferred to a pre-
defined call number. If the call is not answered by this telephone or if the telephone is busy, the call
will be transferred to another call number after a configurable time. The order in which the call num-
bers shall be dialled is defined in so-called dialling sequences.
Call numbers and dialling sequences
Up to 8 call numbers can be defined, which will be dialled in case of a call (e.g. from a door station
or an emergency call station).
For each call number, a maximum of 24 digits are allowed.
Call numbers can be arranged in up to 8 different dialling sequences.
The dialling sequences set the order in which the call numbers are dialled.
The dialling sequences are selected with inputs to which e.g. a time switch is connected.
Each dialling sequence is able to contain up to 15 call numbers. Thereby, each call number can be
dialled several times (by entering a call number several times in a dialling sequence).
Example
Call numbers:
1. “Guard 1”
2. “Guard 2“
3. “SIP mobile phone 1“
4. “SIP mobile phone 2“
In the daytime, “Dialling sequence 1” is selected (by a time switch).
When a call is initiated, the 1st call number of “dialling sequence 1” is dialled (“Guard 1“).
If the call is not answered within a configurable time or if the number is busy, the next call number
of “dialling sequence 1” is dialled, and so forth until the end of the dialling sequence (“Guard 2“,
“Guard 1“, “Guard 2“ etc.).
At a certain point of time (night time), “Dialling sequence 2” will be selected (by the time switch).
The order of the calls now is: 3 x “SIP mobile phone 1“ and 3 x “SIP mobile phone 2“
0
NOTE: Restart of the dialling sequence
If the call is not taken over by the last call number, it is possible to restart the dialling sequence (see
“Restart dialling sequence” on page 11).

Outgoing call from the Intercom system
Initiate call
For an outgoing call in auto-dialler mode, two possibilities are available:
Call via dialling interface: The call number of the respective telephone interface at the Intercom
station is dialled.
Call request/input message: The respective telephone interface is configured as control desk. This
means:
A call request is initiated at the Intercom station.
An input message is initiated via an input.
As soon as the call is set up, the 1st number in the currently selected dialling sequence is dialled.
Switch on speech messages
As soon as a call is initiated, different speech messages are switched on as information for the calling
Intercom station and for the telephone.
Messages at the Intercom station
Calm-down message: As soon as the call is initiated, the calling Intercom station receives a calm-
down message (e.g. “You will be immediately connected to an emergency station!“). This message
is repeated until the call is taken over via the telephone.
Messages at the telephone
Location message: The telephone receives the location message after lifting the receiver as infor-
mation where (i.e. from which telephone interface) the call comes from. This message should be re-
corded individually (e.g. “Parking North“).
Call request message: If the initiated call is a call request, the telephone receives the call request
message as information on how many calls are waiting (e.g. “Calls: one, emergency calls: three“).
Individual message (optional): For additional information, individual messages can be defined
separately for each call mode (conversation, call or emergency call; e.g. “Call from station one–zero–
five”).
NOTE: Comparison of call sequences
A comparison between a call sequence by dialling the interface call number and a call request can be
found at “Examples for the call procedure” on page 12.
NOTE: Further information
For further information on speech messages, see “Speech storage” on page 17 and “Pre-recorded
audio for speech storage” on page 20.

Take over of call at telephone
Call via dialling interface
A call can be taken over with the defined 1- to 4-digit password (“#” by default).
Repeated speech messages can be interrupted with “*” (see also “Individual messages” on
page 19). However, each message has to be listened to at least once.
Call request and input message
A call must be taken over with the defined 1- to 4-digit password (“#” by default) plus pressing the
button “#”.
After taking over the call request or input message with “#”, repeated speech messages can be in-
terrupted with “*” (see also “Individual messages” on page 19). However, each message has to be
listened to at least once.
It can be defined whether the telephone receives the “Dial tone“ from the Intercom Server, e.g. be-
fore taking over a call request with “#”.
Cancel conversation
A conversation can be cancelled at the telephone with “#” or at the Intercom station with X.
After the conversation has been cancelled, the connection to the Intercom system stays upright for
a configurable time. During this time, a new conversation can be set up or other functions can be
carried out in the Intercom Server.
If the telephone is only hanged up without pressing “#”, the connection is automatically disconnect-
ed after approx. 6 seconds.
Restart dialling sequence
If the call is taken over by none of the configured telephone numbers of the respective dialling
sequence, two possibilities for restarting the sequence are available:
Reissue call by pressing the call button: If a call request is not answered, this call remains at the
Intercom station and the control desk. However, the telephone interface is in idle mode. By pressing
the respective call button (or the input contact) once again, the dialling sequence can be started once
again.
Configure restart of the dialling sequence: With a configuration in CCT 800, it is possible to
avoid that an initiated call is not answered. Therefore, enter “9” as last number of the respective di-
alling sequence (see “Call numbers and dialling sequences” on page 9). So, the dialling sequence
will be started again and so forth until the call is taken over.
NOTE: Take over call
If no password is defined to take over the call, an (optional) button still has to be pressed to answer the
call.

NOTE: No password for outgoing and incoming calls
If no password is configured in the fields Password outgoing and Password incoming, no pre-
recorded audio files and location messages will be played back.
ATTENTION: Waiting time
Values <“10” are minutes (e.g. an entry of “5” is interpreted as “5 minutes”).
Values ≥ “10” are seconds (e.g. an entry of “12” is interpreted as “12 seconds”).
NOTE: Dialling sequence
By means of adding “9” at the end of the dialling sequence, the respective call is switched to the 1st
call number of the sequence again if this call is not answered by the last call number of the
sequence (e.g. “12121219”).

Activate dialling sequence
The different dialling sequences are activated via inputs to which e.g. a time switch can be connected.
For the inputs, a dialling simulation has to be configured with the following code:
Enter “XX9T99” and the number of the dialling sequence (e.g. “XX9T992” to activate dialling
“sequence 2”).
Configuration CCT 800
Inputs > Dial via Input > Input initiates dialling
Right-click on the desired input and select the option “Add input initiates dialling”.
Inputs > Dial via Input > Input initiates dialling > folder input #
In the drop-down list Subscriber 1, select the telephone interface for which the dialling sequence
shall be switched over.
In the drop-down list Dial / Key next to the desired input level (e.g. “Short”), enter the respective
code.
Input initiates dialling window in CCT 800
In the example above (screenshot), one input triggers the switch-over of the dialling sequences “1” and
“2” for the subscriber “1” (telephone interface):
Level input: Break (dialling sequence “1” is active)
Level input: Short (dialling sequence “2” is active)
NOTES: Existing call
With the prefix “XX“, an existing conversation (set up by dialling the interface call number) is can-
celled before switching the dialling sequence. Otherwise, the sequence would not be changed.
“XX” has no effect on an existing call request. The call remains and is transferred to the new dial-
ling sequence.
ATTENTION: Simultaneous dialled codes
Make sure that two inputs cannot dial a code at the same time. This could happen e.g. if codes for
“short” and “open” are configured for several inputs. If one input closes and the other opens at the
same time, it cannot be guaranteed if the “open” code or the “short” code was dialled first, because
always the code dialled last becomes effective.

Group call types
The 15 call types of the Intercom Server can be grouped in 4 different call types. These 4 call types are
also used for individual messages. Each of the drop-down lists represents one of the 15 call types of
the Intercom Server. In the example below (screenshot), the call types “2” and “8” (of the Intercom
Server) are grouped to “Call 2 (Emergency call)”,the call types “6”, “7”, “11”, “14” and “15” (of the Inter-
com Server) are grouped to “Active 2”. This also means: if individual messages are configured for the
call types “Call 2 (Emergency call)” and “Active 2”, individual messages will be put out for the call types
“2”, “8” and/or “6”, “7”, “11”, “14” or “15” (see also “Individual messages” on page 19).
Call types in CCT 800
The following options are available in the drop-down lists Group call types:
Call 1 (Normal call): The call type will be transferred via the telephone interface as “Call 1 (Normal
call)”.
Call 2 (Emergency call): The call type will be transferred via the telephone interface as “Call 2
(Emergency call)”.
Active 1: The call type will be transferred via the telephone interface as “Active 1”.
Active 2: The call type will be transferred via the telephone interface as “Active 2”.
Standard: The call type will be grouped to none of the above listed call types.

Only the first calling station receives the calm-down message from the speech storage of the
telephone interface. It is possible, however, to feed a separate calm-down message through a
subscriber for which “feed-in of radio conference” is configured, independently from the speech
storage of the telephone interface. In this case, it is not required to configure “feed-in of radio
conference” for the telephone interface. Thus, each calling station receives the calm-down message.
For further information on configuration, see manual “Intercom Server Configuration”.
If the telephone interface is already in a conversation, no calm-down message (pre-recorded audio
from the speech storage of the telephone interface) will be put out.
For call requests to a control desk, it is possible to use the calm-down message of the speech storage
of the telephone interface for a calling station.
ATTENTION: Control desk and switch-over
For the respective call request, the telephone interface has to be configured as additional control
desk. For the telephone interface, “feed-in of radio conference” has to be configured as described
above.
If this feature is used for internal call requests, all these calls requests will also be transferred through
the telephone interface. To avoid this, it is possible to configure a switch-over of the dialling sequence
(see also “
Activate dialling sequence” on page 15).

Individual messages
For the several call types (conversation, call and emergency call) and for each station to or from which
a call is set up, additional information can be put out. For the so-called individual messages, the follow-
ing applies:
Individual messages are put out at the corresponding point of time (e.g. at start up of a conversation)
at the telephone (see also “Examples for the call procedure” on page 12).
Individual messages can be configured for the “
Auto-dialler mode”as well as for “PABX mode”.
Individual messages are composed out of single WAV files (e.g. “Conversation to...”, “one”, “zero”
or “five”; each word under quotation marks is a single WAV file; see “Standard speech messages”
on page 17).
