is an
all-in-one wireless solution for Internet connectivity in the home, providing a
built-in ADSL2+ modem, router, 4-port 10/100mbps switch and a wireless-G
(802.11g) access point in one box. ADSL2+ provides better speeds, longer
distance coverage and reduced power consumption while maintaining ADSL's
always-on functionality. Users enjoy the flexibility of getting access to the
Internet even during transit, as long as WLAN network cards are installed on
their laptops. WRL254G is embedded with a HTTP server that allows the
configuration of the WRL254G features via a user-friendly web-based
management interface. Its 10/100Mbps Ethernet LAN connectivity, integrated
wireless AP and WAN interfaces provide users with the flexibility of Internet
connection for up to four PCs or other Ethernet-enabled devices that can be
attached directly or additional hubs and switches that can be connected to
enlarge the network when necessary.
WRL254G is simple to use, and it plugs directly into your ADSL line to give
you continuous connectivity to your network resources and the Internet, and
allows you to share your broadband access with all of your networked
computers wireless or with wires using Ethernet cables. Firewall protects
your network with business-class security against intruders, including logs
and alerts of break-in attempts, while VPN pass-through makes it safe to
connect to your business network from home or office. WRL254G is the ideal
solution for your home or office.
Fast Speed Feasibility
The WRL254G provides instant connectivity with or without wires, and works with your
existing 802.11b devices as well as your new 54Mbps 802.11g devices. A built-in ADSL2+
modem furnishes direct, always-on Internet connectivity and multi-user access sharing at fast
speeds. Thus allowing users to be connected faster and easier.
Highly Secured Traffic
The wireless USB adapter supports wireless security features such as 64/128-bit WEP to
ensure that your important data is encrypted while in transit.
DHCP Capabilities
DHCP helps user to automatically assign temporary IP addresses to clients’ stations logging
on. It helps user to eliminate to manually assign permanent "static" IP addresses.
Web-Based Management
Management of the WRL254G is extremely easy and user-friendly. Users can make use of
the web-based interface to manage the router locally or remotely.
Versatility
All in one feature allows users to share files, printers, hard drive space and other resources or
even engage in multi-player gaming via the versatile WRL254G.
