1.0 Installation
1.1 Generic Replacement Cell Installation
To install the generic replacement cell for your Aqua Pure or other
compatible saltwater chlorinator system, follow this procedure.
1.1.1 Turn power to the filter pump and chlorinator system off.
1.1.2 The Compu Pool GRC comes complete with a built in DC cell cable.
The old cell cable will need to be disconnected from the circuit board
in the power module. To do this remove the front cover off the power
module and disconnect the two connectors for the cell cable. Pull the
old cable out of the power module and replace with the new cable,
push on the two connectors to the circuit board firmly.
1.1.3 Remove the old cell from its position in the plumbing by loosening the
union collars on both ends of the cell. Also remove the
Flow/Temp/Salinity sensor by loosening the third collar.
1.1.4 Inspect the o-rings on the two unions and the sensor, if they are
damaged or worn they should be replaced before installing the new
replacement cell. If they are dry apply a suitable o-ring lubricant.
1.1.5 Position the new replacement cell within the plumbing area. Tighten
the two union collars BY HAND for a watertight seal. Over-tightening
with tools may damage the unions or the replacement cell.
1.1.6 Install the Flow/Temp/Salinity sensor into the new cell and tighten the
collar. The sensor will have a slightly firmer fit in the new cell, this is
normal and is to ensure a watertight fitting. The Compu Pool GRC
does not have keyways in the cell ports, they are not required.
1.1.7 The power to the filter pump and chlorinator system can now be turned
on.
1.1.8 The chlorinator system can now be operated as instructed in the
manufacturers installation and operation manual.
