INSTRUCTIONS
Precision facial grooming has never been easier than
with your new Conair SWITCHcut™ Complete Facial
Grooming System. With a simple slide of the button,
switch between the 30mm ground stainless steel trimmer
blade and the 8mm ground stainless steel detailing
blade. This all-purpose trimmer has high carbon stain-
less steel blades for long-lasting cutting precision. The
trimmer features turbo power for 15% more cutting
power, and a 3-position taper control switch to trim
hair at the length you set; the system includes 3 jawline
combs, a 10-position adjustable comb for the trimmer
blade, a mustache comb, a drawstring accessories
pouch to hold all components, a charging stand for
the trimmer, lubricating oil, and a cleaning brush. The
red LED light on the trimmer indicates when the unit
is charging.
Your SWITCHcut ™ trimmer incorporates our patent-
pending SWITCHcut ™ technology. When you have
finished trimming with the 30mm trimmer blade, it is
just a simple slide of a button to change from the main
trimming blade to the 8mm detailing blade for tight areas
and precision detail. This easy motion, which can be
done when the trimmer’s power is on or off, disengages
the trimmer blade and activates the detailing blade. To
change back to the trimmer blade, just simply slide the
button back and the detailing blade retracts.The trimmer
blade is now ready to use again. Be sure to push the top
housing to the front or rear to the outmost position until a
'click' is felt for the selection of Scribe or Trimmer blade
function. NOTE: Before switching between the trimmer
and detailing blades, all guide combs must be removed
from the unit. Do not switch blades during cutting.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your rechargeable trimmer does not seem to be taking
a charge, take the following troubleshooting steps before
returning it for repair:
1. Be sure the electrical outlet is working by plugging in
another appliance to test the outlet.
2. Make sure the electrical plug is not connected to a
switch which turns power off
when lights are turned off.
3. Be sure you have inserted the trimmer properly into
the charging stand, that all connections
are secure, and that the trimmer switch is in the “OFF”
position.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Before using your trimmer for the first time, place the
unit in the charging stand and charge it for 16 hours.
Always place the trimmer in the base with the ON/OFF
switch in the OFF position.
2. Always check to see if the charging light is on when
you place the trimmer in the charging stand.The switch
must face forward for the trimmer to slide properly into
the base and fixed firmly.
3. Plug the adaptor into any wall outlet (at the voltage
listed on the label affixed to the adaptor).Unplug adaptor
when not in use.
4. The adaptor may become warm while charging. This
is normal.
5. Battery life can be improved by periodically allowing
the trimmer to run until the motor stops. Immediately
shut the switch OFF and fully recharge.

TAKING CARE OF YOUR TRIMMER
OILING THE BLADES
About once a month you should oil the trimmer
blades with the oil provided in your kit. It is best to
do this over a piece of newspaper. Turn the trimmer
on and hold it so that the blades are pointed down-
ward. Spread one drop of oil across the blades, then
turn the trimmer off and wipe away the excess oil
with a soft cloth.
Be careful not to use too much oil and don’t oil
your trimmer more than necessary, as that could
damage the motor. (Never attempt to oil the motor
bearing, as it is permanently lubricated.) After oiling
the blades, return the trimmer and oil packet to the
trimmer storage base. Keep oil away from children.
BLADE CARE
Because the trimmer blades are precision-made for a
very special use, they should always be handled with
care. Each time you finish using the trimmer, take the
cleaning brush provided and brush away any loose
hair that has collected in the blades. Then store the
trimmer in its recharging storage base to protect the
blades until the next use.
Be especially careful when changing or adjusting
blades. When you have your trimmer serviced, be sure
that both blades are sharpened or replaced at the
same time.
To promote the long life of the appliance, use your
trimmer only for the purpose intended by the manu-
facturer—to trim your beard and mustache.
TURBO FEATURE
This product is equipped with a turbo boost button.
When activated, this feature will provide 15% more cut-
ting power. This is especially useful for cutting through
thicker hair.
To activate the turbo feature:
1. Turn the Power switch to the “on” position
2. Press the Turbo button
3. Continue to press the Turbo button for as long as you
need the extra power
4. Release the Turbo button to return to normal power
THREE POSITION TAPER CONTROL
The Conair trimmer taper control switch is positioned
at the back of the unit. You can hold the trimmer in
your hand and adjust the switch as needed.The taper
control eliminates the need
in some situations for an
attachment comb because
it lets you gradually adjust
the closeness of the cut. For
closest cut and shortest hair,
push switch all the way to
level #3. This is the setting to use for the 2 day shave
look. To increase the cutting length, slowly push
control down to level #2 or #1 for longer cut. Note
that too much clipped hair on the clipper can slow
down its operation. To remove it without removing
the blades simply use the enclosed cleaning brush
and gently sweep away the clipped hair from cutting
surfaces. Note: The taper control only works with the
main 30mm trimmer blade.
GROWING A BEARD AND MUSTACHE
There are three key factors that will determine which
beard or mustache style is best for you:
1. The shape and dimensions of your face.
2. The natural growth of your beard/mustache.
3. The thickness of your beard/mustache.
If you are unsure of the type of beard or mus-
tache that would most suit your face, speak with
a professional hair stylist and ask for an opinion
on what style would be best. Once your beard or
mustache has been styled, it is essential that you
maintain its appearance. To do this, use your trimmer to
trim your beard/mustache weekly.
For the best trimming results, your beard should be
slightly damp (NOT WET) when using your trimmer.
This will prevent the trimmer from removing more hair
than desired.
TYPES OF BEARDS/MUSTACHES
GETTING STARTED: OUTLINING YOUR BEARD
1. It is always best to begin with a clean, slightly damp
beard.
2. After you have combed
through your beard in the
direction it grows naturally,
you will want to outline the
desired shape, beginning
under your jawline.
3.Begin defining your beard’s shape under your chin and
work upward on each side of your face toward your ears.
Then define the upper outline of your beard across your
cheeks, past your sideburns and toward your hairline.
NOW YOU’RE READY TO TRIM
YOUR BEARD
1. The trimmer includes a
10-position comb for use
with the hair trimming blade
(2-6.5mm) which provide
lengths of 2mm (shortest) to
6.5mm (longest).
2. To use the 10-position comb, slide the unit over the
trimmer blades and snap it down into position. At first,
until you become familiar with the adjustments, use the
longest trim setting. (You can always go back and make
your beard a little shorter.)

Les soins faciaux de précision n'ont jamais été aussi
simples qu'avec votre nouveau système de soins
faciaux complets Conair SWITCHcutMC Plus. Le simple
déplacement d'un bouton permet de passer de la lame
de tonte en acier inoxydable meulé de 30 mm à la lame
de découpage en acier inoxydable meulé de 8 mm.
Cette tondeuse tout usage est munie de lames en acier
inoxydable à forte teneur en carbone pour une tonte
de précision. La tondeuse comporte aussi une fonction
turbo donnant une poussée de puissance de 15 %, et
une commande d'angle à 3 positions pour couper les
cheveux à la longueur désirée; le système comprend 3
peignes de mâchoire, un peigne ajustable à 10 positions
pour la lame de tondeuse, un peigne à moustache, une
pochette d'accessoires à tirette, un support de charge
pour la tondeuse, de l'huile de lubrification et une
brosse de nettoyage. Le témoin DEL rouge indique que
l'appareil se charge.
La tondeuse SWITCHcutMC propose notre technologie
SWITCHcutMC en instance de brevet. Une fois la tonte
terminée avec la lame de 30 mm, un simple glissement
du bouton présente la lame de 8 mm pour une taille et un
découpage précis. Ce simple mouvement qui s'exécute
que la tondeuse soit en marche ou non, désengage la
lame de tonte et engage la lame de découpage. Pour
retourner à la lame de tonte, vous ramenez le bouton
pour rétracter la lame de découpage. La lame de tonte
est alors prête à servir. Poussez le bouton vers la position
la plus avancée ou la plus reculée, jusqu'au déclic, pour
changer les lames. REMARQUE : Avant d'alterner d'une
lame à l'autre, vous devez démonter tout peigne-guide
de la tondeuse. Ne changez pas de lame en cours de
coupe.
DÉPANNAGE
Si la tondeuse rechargeable avec ou sans fil ne semble
pas se recharger, suivez les conseils ci-après avant de
ramener la tondeuse au centre de réparatiion.
1.Assurez-vous que la prise de courant est sous tension
en utilisant un autre appareil pour vérifier.
2. Assurez-vous que la prise électrique n’est pas com-
mandée par un interrupteur qui coupe le courant quand
les lumières sont éteintes.
3. Assurez-vous d’avoir bien inséré la tondeuse dans
le support de charge, que toutes les connexions sont
bien faites et que l’interrupteur de la tondeuse est sur
‹‹ OFF ››.
DIRECTIVES D'UTILISATION
1.Avant d’utiliser la tondeuse la première fois, placez-la
sur le support de charge et laissez-la charger pendant
16 heures. Placez toujours la tondeuse sur le socle,
l’interrupteur réglé sur OFF.
2. Vérifiez toujours si le voyant de charge s’allume
quand vous placez la tondeuse sur le support de charge.
L’interrupteur doit se trouver sur le devant pour que la
tondeuse entre bien dans le support.
3. Branchez le chargeur dans une prise murale (de la
tension indiquée sur l’étiquette signalétique sur le sup-
port). Débranchez l’adaptateur quand vous ne l’utilisez
pas.
4. Le support de charge peut chauffer pendant la
charge; cela est normal.
5. L’autonomie de la pile peut être améliorée en laissant,
à intervalle régulier, la tondeuse fonction¬ner jusqu’à
ce que le moteur s’arrête. Éteignez immédiatement la
tondeuse et rechargez-la à bloc.

ENTRETIEN DE LA TONDEUSE
HUILAGE DES LAMES
Huilez les lames de tonte une fois par mois avec
l’huile fournie dans la trousse. Faire ceci au-dessus
d’un morceau de journal. Assurez -vous qu’il est
en marche (ON) et tenez-le de sorte que les lames
soient dirigées en bas. Étalez une goutte d’huile
à travers les lames, puis arrêtez le tondeuse et
essuyez tout excédant d’huile avec un linge doux.
Faites attention à ne pas employer trop d’huile et
n’huilez pas votre tondeuse plus que nécessaire,
car ceci pourrait endommager le moteur. (Ne huilez
jamais le palier du moteur car il est lubrifi é à vie).
Gardez l'huile hors de la portée des enfants.
ENTRETIEN DES LAMES
La tondeuse étant un instrument précis servant à une fi
n particulière, elle doit être manipulée avec soin. Après
chaque usage, nettoyez les lames avec la petite brosse
de nettoyage. Rangez ensuite la tondeuse sur le support
jusqu’à son usage suivant. Pour assurer la durée utile
prolongée de la tondeuse, ne l’utilisez seulement que
pour l’usage prévu par le fabricant.
FONCTION TURBO
Activé il fournira 15% plus de puissance de tonte. Ceci
ést particulièrement utile pour tondre des cheveux
épais. Pour utiliser la fonction turbo :
1. Placez le commutateur en de position de marche
(ON).
2. Appuyez sur le bouton de Turbo.
3. Tenez le bouton de Turbo enfoncé tant que vous avez
besoin de la puissance supplémentaire.
4. Relâchez le bouton de Turbo pour retourner à la puis-
sance normale.
COMMANDE DE COUPE À TROIS POSITIONS
La commande de coupe de
Conair se trouve au dos de
la tondeuse. Vous pouvez
tenir la tondeuse d'une main
et régler la commande au
besoin. Dans certains cas, la
commande élimine le besoin
d'un peigne car elle vous permet d'ajuster graduel-
lement la longueur de coupe. Pour une coupe plus
courte, poussez la commande au niveau 3. Il s'agit
du réglage pour cette allure de barbe de 2 jours. Pour
une coupe plus longue, poussez la commande lente-
ment vers le niveau 2 ou 1. Notez que trop de poils
dans la tondeuse en ralentira le fonctionnement. Pour
enlever les poils sans enlever les lames, utilisez la
petite brosse de nettoyage et balayez les poils de la
surface de la tondeuse. Remarque : La commande
ne fonctionne qu'avec la lame de tonte principale
de 30 mm.
FAIRE POUSSER UNE BARBE OU UNE MOUSTACHE
Il y a trois facteurs à considérer pour établir quel type de
barbe ou moustache convient le mieux à votre visage :
1. La forme et la grandeur de votre visage.
2. La croissance naturelle des poils.
3. L’épaisseur de la barbe ou moustache.
Si vous n’êtes pas certain du type de barbe ou mous-
tache qui vous conviendrait le mieux, parlez-en avec un
coiffeur et voyez quels conseils il pourrait vous donner.
Une fois que la barbe ou la moustache est taillée, il est
important d’en maintenir l’apparence. Pour ce faire, vous
pouvez utiliser la tondeuse pour tailler votre barbe ou
moustache chaque semaine.
Pour obtenir les meilleurs résultats, la barbe devrait être
légèrement humide (non pas mouillée) avant d’utiliser la
tondeuse.Vous éviterez ainsi de couper trop de poils.
TYPES DE MOUSTACHES/BARBES
TOUT D’ABORD DÉCOUPAGE
1. Il est toujours plus facile de débuter avec une barbe
propre et légèrement humide.
2. Une fois la barbe peignée dans le sens de la pousse
naturelle, découpez-la de la forme voulue, en débu-
tant avec le contour de la
mâchoire.
3. Découpez la forme en
partant sous le menton et
en travaillant vers le haut,
de part et d’autre du visage
jusqu’aux oreilles. Découpez ensuite le haut, le long
des joues, des favoris et vers la ligne des cheveux.
MAINTENANT, VOUS ÊTES PRÊT À
VOUS TONDRE LA BARBE
1. La tondeuse vient avec un peigne à 10 positions pour
la lame de découpage (2-6,5

TAILLEZ TOUJOURS LA MOUSTACHE DE

3. Begin trimming your beard using smooth, even
strokes. Start with your sideburns and work downward
toward your chin. (Never attempt to trim against the
natural growth of your beard because the hair will be
cut too short.)
4. If you decide you want a closer trim, you can now
adjust the 10-position comb attachment to a shorter
setting (such as 5.5mm or 6mm) and go over your
beard again until you achieve the desired length.
BLENDING THE JAWLINE
1. The three jawline attachments will help you to
achieve a neat, finished trim under your chin. To use
one of the attachments, press it down over the trimmer
blades until it clicks into position.
2. Hold the trimmer in an upright position and begin
trimming under your jawline, using short, even
strokes.
3.After your beard is blended, turn off the trimmer and
remove the attachment by gently pulling up on tab.
TO TRIM YOUR MUSTACHE
1. For best results, start
with a clean, slightly damp
mustache.
2. Comb through your
mustache in the direction
it grows.
3. Place the 10-position comb over the facial hair blade
and snap it into position. It is a good idea to start with
the longest trim setting adjustment. (You can always
go back and cut your mustache more closely with a
shorter setting.)
ALWAYS TRIM YOUR MUSTACHE

For precision trimming of tight areas, you will need to
use the 8mm detailing blade.
1. Remove any guide comb that may be attached to the
trimmer.
2. With the power on or off, simply slide the top button
forward to change from the main trimming blade to
the 8mm detailing blade. This easy motion disen-
gages the trimmer blade and activates the detailing
blade.
3. Trim goatee or any other tight areas.
4. When precision trimming is completed, slide the
button back and the detailing blade retracts.
5. The trimmer blade is now ready to use again.

Pour enlever le jeu de lames, éteignez d’abord la
tondeuse. Placez le pouce contre le petit couteau et
poussez vers le haut pour séparer le jeu de lames de
la tondeuse. Posez un nouveau jeu de lames en procé-
dant en sens inverse du retrait. Cette fois, cependant,
placez le pouce contre le gros couteau et poussez pour
enclencher le jeu en place.Assurez-vous que la com-
mande d'angle se trouve à la position 1, la plus longue.

1. Pop-off decorative plate on bottom housing.
2. Using a small Phillips head screwdriver, remove
the two screws at the back of the trimmer.
3. Remove the bottom housing and flip it over to
remove the four screws in the battery cover. Bring
the batteries to the nearest collection center for
proper disposal. DO NOT throw the battery into the
normal municipal waste system.

Precision facial grooming has never been easier than
with your new Conair SWITCHcut™ Complete Facial
Grooming System. With a simple slide of the button,
switch between the 30mm ground stainless steel trimmer
blade and the 8mm ground stainless steel detailing
blade. This all-purpose trimmer has high carbon stain-
less steel blades for long-lasting cutting precision. The
trimmer features turbo power for 15% more cutting
power, and a 3-position taper control switch to trim
hair at the length you set; the system includes 3 jawline
combs, a 10-position adjustable comb for the trimmer
blade, a mustache comb, a drawstring accessories
pouch to hold all components, a charging stand for
the trimmer, lubricating oil, and a cleaning brush. The
red LED light on the trimmer indicates when the unit
is charging.
Your SWITCHcut ™ trimmer incorporates our patent-
pending SWITCHcut ™ technology. When you have
finished trimming with the 30mm trimmer blade, it is
just a simple slide of a button to change from the main
trimming blade to the 8mm detailing blade for tight areas
and precision detail. This easy motion, which can be
done when the trimmer’s power is on or off, disengages
the trimmer blade and activates the detailing blade. To
change back to the trimmer blade, just simply slide the
button back and the detailing blade retracts.The trimmer
blade is now ready to use again. Be sure to push the top
housing to the front or rear to the outmost position until a
'click' is felt for the selection of Scribe or Trimmer blade
function. NOTE: Before switching between the trimmer
and detailing blades, all guide combs must be removed
from the unit. Do not switch blades during cutting.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your rechargeable trimmer does not seem to be taking
a charge,take the following troubleshooting steps before
returning it for repair:
1. Be sure the electrical outlet is working by plugging in
another appliance to test the outlet.
2. Make sure the electrical plug is not connected to a
switch which turns power off
when lights are turned off.
3. Be sure you have inserted the trimmer properly into
the charging stand, that all connections
are secure, and that the trimmer switch is in the “OFF”
position.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Before using your trimmer for the first time, place the
unit in the charging stand and charge it for 16 hours.
Always place the trimmer in the base with the ON/OFF
switch in the OFF position.
2. Always check to see if the charging light is on when
you place the trimmer in the charging stand. The switch
must face forward for the trimmer to slide properly into
the base and fixed firmly.
3. Plug the adaptor into any wall outlet (at the voltage
listed on the label affixed to the adaptor). Unplug adaptor
when not in use.
4. The adaptor may become warm while charging. This
is normal.
5. Battery life can be improved by periodically allowing
the trimmer to run until the motor stops. Immediately
shut the switch OFF and fully recharge.

TAKING CARE OF YOUR TRIMMER
OILING THE BLADES
About once a month you should oil the trimmer
blades with the oil provided in your kit. It is best to
do this over a piece of newspaper. Turn the trimmer
on and hold it so that the blades are pointed down-
ward. Spread one drop of oil across the blades, then
turn the trimmer off and wipe away the excess oil
with a soft cloth.
Be careful not to use too much oil and don’t oil
your trimmer more than necessary, as that could
damage the motor. (Never attempt to oil the motor
bearing, as it is permanently lubricated.) After oiling
the blades, return the trimmer and oil packet to the
trimmer storage base. Keep oil away from children.
BLADE CARE
Because the trimmer blades are precision-made for a
very special use, they should always be handled with
care. Each time you finish using the trimmer, take the
cleaning brush provided and brush away any loose
hair that has collected in the blades. Then store the
trimmer in its recharging storage base to protect the
blades until the next use.
Be especially careful when changing or adjusting
blades. When you have your trimmer serviced, be sure
that both blades are sharpened or replaced at the
same time.
To promote the long life of the appliance, use your
trimmer only for the purpose intended by the manu-
facturer—to trim your beard and mustache.
TURBO FEATURE
This product is equipped with a turbo boost button.
When activated, this feature will provide 15% more cut-
ting power. This is especially useful for cutting through
thicker hair.
To activate the turbo feature:
1. Turn the Power switch to the “on” position
2. Press the Turbo button
3. Continue to press the Turbo button for as long as you
need the extra power
4. Release the Turbo button to return to normal power
THREE POSITION TAPER CONTROL
The Conair trimmer taper control switch is positioned
at the back of the unit. You can hold the trimmer in
your hand and adjust the switch as needed. The taper
control eliminates the need
in some situations for an
attachment comb because
it lets you gradually adjust
the closeness of the cut. For
closest cut and shortest hair,
push switch all the way to
level #3. This is the setting to use for the 2 day shave
look. To increase the cutting length, slowly push
control down to level #2 or #1 for longer cut. Note
that too much clipped hair on the clipper can slow
down its operation. To remove it without removing
the blades simply use the enclosed cleaning brush
and gently sweep away the clipped hair from cutting
surfaces. Note: The taper control only works with the
main 30mm trimmer blade.
GROWING A BEARD AND MUSTACHE
There are three key factors that will determine which
beard or mustache style is best for you:
1. The shape and dimensions of your face.
2. The natural growth of your beard/mustache.
3. The thickness of your beard/mustache.
If you are unsure of the type of beard or mus-
tache that would most suit your face, speak with
a professional hair stylist and ask for an opinion
on what style would be best. Once your beard or
mustache has been styled, it is essential that you
maintain its appearance. To do this, use your trimmer to
trim your beard/mustache weekly.
For the best trimming results, your beard should be
slightly damp (NOT WET) when using your trimmer.
This will prevent the trimmer from removing more hair
than desired.
TYPES OF BEARDS/MUSTACHES
GETTING STARTED: OUTLINING YOUR BEARD
1. It is always best to begin with a clean, slightly damp
beard.
2. After you have combed
through your beard in the
direction it grows naturally,
you will want to outline the
desired shape, beginning
under your jawline.
3.Begin defining your beard’s shape under your chin and
work upward on each side of your face toward your ears.
Then define the upper outline of your beard across your
cheeks, past your sideburns and toward your hairline.

YOUR BEARD
1. The trimmer includes a
10-position comb for use
with the hair trimming blade
(2-6.5mm) which provide
lengths of 2mm (shortest) to
6.5mm (longest).
2. To use the 10-position comb, slide the unit over the
trimmer blades and snap it down into position. At first,
until you become familiar with the adjustments, use the
longest trim setting. (You can always go back and make
your beard a little shorter.)

Les soins faciaux de précision n'ont jamais été aussi
simples qu'avec votre nouveau système de soins
faciaux complets Conair SWITCHcutMC Plus. Le simple
déplacement d'un bouton permet de passer de la lame
de tonte en acier inoxydable meulé de 30 mm à la lame
de découpage en acier inoxydable meulé de 8 mm.
Cette tondeuse tout usage est munie de lames en acier
inoxydable à forte teneur en carbone pour une tonte
de précision. La tondeuse comporte aussi une fonction
turbo donnant une poussée de puissance de 15 %, et
une commande d'angle à 3 positions pour couper les
cheveux à la longueur désirée; le système comprend 3
peignes de mâchoire,un peigne ajustable à 10 positions
pour la lame de tondeuse, un peigne à moustache, une
pochette d'accessoires à tirette, un support de charge
pour la tondeuse, de l'huile de lubrification et une
brosse de nettoyage. Le témoin DEL rouge indique que
l'appareil se charge.
La tondeuse SWITCHcutMC propose notre technologie
SWITCHcutMC en instance de brevet. Une fois la tonte
terminée avec la lame de 30 mm, un simple glissement
du bouton présente la lame de 8 mm pour une taille et un
découpage précis. Ce simple mouvement qui s'exécute
que la tondeuse soit en marche ou non, désengage la
lame de tonte et engage la lame de découpage. Pour
retourner à la lame de tonte, vous ramenez le bouton
pour rétracter la lame de découpage. La lame de tonte
est alors prête à servir. Poussez le bouton vers la position
la plus avancée ou la plus reculée, jusqu'au déclic, pour
changer les lames. REMARQUE : Avant d'alterner d'une
lame à l'autre, vous devez démonter tout peigne-guide
de la tondeuse. Ne changez pas de lame en cours de
coupe.
DÉPANNAGE
Si la tondeuse rechargeable avec ou sans fil ne semble
pas se recharger, suivez les conseils ci-après avant de
ramener la tondeuse au centre de réparatiion.
1.Assurez-vous que la prise de courant est sous tension
en utilisant un autre appareil pour vérifier.
2. Assurez-vous que la prise électrique n’est pas com-
mandée par un interrupteur qui coupe le courant quand
les lumières sont éteintes.
3. Assurez-vous d’avoir bien inséré la tondeuse dans
le support de charge, que toutes les connexions sont
bien faites et que l’interrupteur de la tondeuse est sur
‹‹ OFF ››.
DIRECTIVES D'UTILISATION
1.Avant d’utiliser la tondeuse la première fois, placez-la
sur le support de charge et laissez-la charger pendant
16 heures. Placez toujours la tondeuse sur le socle,
l’interrupteur réglé sur OFF.
2. Vérifiez toujours si le voyant de charge s’allume
quand vous placez la tondeuse sur le support de charge.
L’interrupteur doit se trouver sur le devant pour que la
tondeuse entre bien dans le support.
3. Branchez le chargeur dans une prise murale (de la
tension indiquée sur l’étiquette signalétique sur le sup-
port). Débranchez l’adaptateur quand vous ne l’utilisez
pas.
4. Le support de charge peut chauffer pendant la
charge; cela est normal.
5. L’autonomie de la pile peut être améliorée en laissant,
à intervalle régulier, la tondeuse fonction¬ner jusqu’à
ce que le moteur s’arrête. Éteignez immédiatement la
tondeuse et rechargez-la à bloc.

ENTRETIEN DE LA TONDEUSE
HUILAGE DES LAMES
Huilez les lames de tonte une fois par mois avec
l’huile fournie dans la trousse. Faire ceci au-dessus
d’un morceau de journal. Assurez -vous qu’il est
en marche (ON) et tenez-le de sorte que les lames
soient dirigées en bas. Étalez une goutte d’huile
à travers les lames, puis arrêtez le tondeuse et
essuyez tout excédant d’huile avec un linge doux.
Faites attention à ne pas employer trop d’huile et
n’huilez pas votre tondeuse plus que nécessaire,
car ceci pourrait endommager le moteur. (Ne huilez
jamais le palier du moteur car il est lubrifi é à vie).
Gardez l'huile hors de la portée des enfants.
ENTRETIEN DES LAMES
La tondeuse étant un instrument précis servant à une fi
n particulière, elle doit être manipulée avec soin. Après
chaque usage, nettoyez les lames avec la petite brosse
de nettoyage. Rangez ensuite la tondeuse sur le support
jusqu’à son usage suivant. Pour assurer la durée utile
prolongée de la tondeuse, ne l’utilisez seulement que
pour l’usage prévu par le fabricant.
FONCTION TURBO
Activé il fournira 15% plus de puissance de tonte. Ceci
ést particulièrement utile pour tondre des cheveux
épais. Pour utiliser la fonction turbo :
1. Placez le commutateur en de position de marche
(ON).
2. Appuyez sur le bouton de Turbo.
3. Tenez le bouton de Turbo enfoncé tant que vous avez
besoin de la puissance supplémentaire.
4. Relâchez le bouton de Turbo pour retourner à la puis-
sance normale.
COMMANDE DE COUPE À TROIS POSITIONS
La commande de coupe de
Conair se trouve au dos de
la tondeuse. Vous pouvez
tenir la tondeuse d'une main
et régler la commande au
besoin. Dans certains cas, la
commande élimine le besoin
d'un peigne car elle vous permet d'ajuster graduel-
lement la longueur de coupe. Pour une coupe plus
courte, poussez la commande au niveau 3. Il s'agit
du réglage pour cette allure de barbe de 2 jours. Pour
une coupe plus longue, poussez la commande lente-
ment vers le niveau 2 ou 1. Notez que trop de poils
dans la tondeuse en ralentira le fonctionnement. Pour
enlever les poils sans enlever les lames, utilisez la
petite brosse de nettoyage et balayez les poils de la
surface de la tondeuse. Remarque : La commande
ne fonctionne qu'avec la lame de tonte principale
de 30 mm.
FAIRE POUSSER UNE BARBE OU UNE MOUSTACHE
Il y a trois facteurs à considérer pour établir quel type de
barbe ou moustache convient le mieux à votre visage :
1. La forme et la grandeur de votre visage.
2. La croissance naturelle des poils.
3. L’épaisseur de la barbe ou moustache.
Si vous n’êtes pas certain du type de barbe ou mous-
tache qui vous conviendrait le mieux, parlez-en avec un
coiffeur et voyez quels conseils il pourrait vous donner.
Une fois que la barbe ou la moustache est taillée, il est
important d’en maintenir l’apparence. Pour ce faire,vous
pouvez utiliser la tondeuse pour tailler votre barbe ou
moustache chaque semaine.
Pour obtenir les meilleurs résultats, la barbe devrait être
légèrement humide (non pas mouillée) avant d’utiliser la
tondeuse. Vous éviterez ainsi de couper trop de poils.
TYPES DE MOUSTACHES/BARBES
TOUT D’ABORD DÉCOUPAGE
1. Il est toujours plus facile de débuter avec une barbe
propre et légèrement humide.
2. Une fois la barbe peignée dans le sens de la pousse
naturelle, découpez-la de la forme voulue, en débu-
tant avec le contour de la
mâchoire.
3. Découpez la forme en
partant sous le menton et
en travaillant vers le haut,
de part et d’autre du visage
jusqu’aux oreilles. Découpez ensuite le haut, le long
des joues, des favoris et vers la ligne des cheveux.

beard again until you achieve the desired length.
BLENDING THE JAWLINE
1. The three jawline attachments will help you to
achieve a neat, finished trim under your chin. To use
one of the attachments, press it down over the trimmer
blades until it clicks into position.
2. Hold the trimmer in an upright position and begin
trimming under your jawline, using short, even
strokes.
3.After your beard is blended, turn off the trimmer and
remove the attachment by gently pulling up on tab.

1. For best results, start

Precision facial grooming has never been easier than
with your new Conair SWITCHcut™ Complete Facial
Grooming System. With a simple slide of the button,
switch between the 30mm ground stainless steel trimmer
blade and the 8mm ground stainless steel detailing
blade. This all-purpose trimmer has high carbon stain-
less steel blades for long-lasting cutting precision. The
trimmer features turbo power for 15% more cutting
power, and a 3-position taper control switch to trim
hair at the length you set; the system includes 3 jawline
combs, a 10-position adjustable comb for the trimmer
blade, a mustache comb, a drawstring accessories
pouch to hold all components, a charging stand for
the trimmer, lubricating oil, and a cleaning brush. The
red LED light on the trimmer indicates when the unit
is charging.
Your SWITCHcut ™ trimmer incorporates our patent-
pending SWITCHcut ™ technology. When you have
finished trimming with the 30mm trimmer blade, it is
just a simple slide of a button to change from the main
trimming blade to the 8mm detailing blade for tight areas
and precision detail. This easy motion, which can be
done when the trimmer’s power is on or off, disengages
the trimmer blade and activates the detailing blade. To
change back to the trimmer blade, just simply slide the
button back and the detailing blade retracts.The trimmer
blade is now ready to use again. Be sure to push the top
housing to the front or rear to the outmost position until a
'click' is felt for the selection of Scribe or Trimmer blade
function. NOTE: Before switching between the trimmer
and detailing blades, all guide combs must be removed
from the unit. Do not switch blades during cutting.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your rechargeable trimmer does not seem to be taking
a charge, take the following troubleshooting steps before
returning it for repair:
1. Be sure the electrical outlet is working by plugging in
another appliance to test the outlet.
2. Make sure the electrical plug is not connected to a
switch which turns power off
when lights are turned off.
3. Be sure you have inserted the trimmer properly into
the charging stand, that all connections
are secure, and that the trimmer switch is in the “OFF”
position.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Before using your trimmer for the first time, place the
unit in the charging stand and charge it for 16 hours.
Always place the trimmer in the base with the ON/OFF
switch in the OFF position.
2. Always check to see if the charging light is on when
you place the trimmer in the charging stand.The switch
must face forward for the trimmer to slide properly into
the base and fixed firmly.
3. Plug the adaptor into any wall outlet (at the voltage
listed on the label affixed to the adaptor).Unplug adaptor
when not in use.
4. The adaptor may become warm while charging. This
is normal.
5. Battery life can be improved by periodically allowing
the trimmer to run until the motor stops. Immediately
shut the switch OFF and fully recharge.

TAKING CARE OF YOUR TRIMMER
OILING THE BLADES
About once a month you should oil the trimmer
blades with the oil provided in your kit. It is best to
do this over a piece of newspaper. Turn the trimmer
on and hold it so that the blades are pointed down-
ward. Spread one drop of oil across the blades, then
turn the trimmer off and wipe away the excess oil
with a soft cloth.
Be careful not to use too much oil and don’t oil
your trimmer more than necessary, as that could
damage the motor. (Never attempt to oil the motor
bearing, as it is permanently lubricated.) After oiling
the blades, return the trimmer and oil packet to the
trimmer storage base. Keep oil away from children.
BLADE CARE
Because the trimmer blades are precision-made for a
very special use, they should always be handled with
care. Each time you finish using the trimmer, take the
cleaning brush provided and brush away any loose
hair that has collected in the blades. Then store the
trimmer in its recharging storage base to protect the
blades until the next use.
Be especially careful when changing or adjusting
blades. When you have your trimmer serviced, be sure
that both blades are sharpened or replaced at the
same time.
To promote the long life of the appliance, use your
trimmer only for the purpose intended by the manu-
facturer—to trim your beard and mustache.
TURBO FEATURE
This product is equipped with a turbo boost button.
When activated, this feature will provide 15% more cut-
ting power. This is especially useful for cutting through
thicker hair.
To activate the turbo feature:
1. Turn the Power switch to the “on” position
2. Press the Turbo button
3. Continue to press the Turbo button for as long as you
need the extra power
4. Release the Turbo button to return to normal power
THREE POSITION TAPER CONTROL
The Conair trimmer taper control switch is positioned
at the back of the unit. You can hold the trimmer in
your hand and adjust the switch as needed.The taper
control eliminates the need
in some situations for an
attachment comb because
it lets you gradually adjust
the closeness of the cut. For
closest cut and shortest hair,
push switch all the way to
level #3. This is the setting to use for the 2 day shave
look. To increase the cutting length, slowly push
control down to level #2 or #1 for longer cut. Note
that too much clipped hair on the clipper can slow
down its operation. To remove it without removing
the blades simply use the enclosed cleaning brush
and gently sweep away the clipped hair from cutting
surfaces. Note: The taper control only works with the
main 30mm trimmer blade.
GROWING A BEARD AND MUSTACHE
There are three key factors that will determine which
beard or mustache style is best for you:
1. The shape and dimensions of your face.
2. The natural growth of your beard/mustache.
3. The thickness of your beard/mustache.
If you are unsure of the type of beard or mus-
tache that would most suit your face, speak with
a professional hair stylist and ask for an opinion
on what style would be best. Once your beard or
mustache has been styled, it is essential that you
maintain its appearance. To do this, use your trimmer to
trim your beard/mustache weekly.
For the best trimming results, your beard should be
slightly damp (NOT WET) when using your trimmer.
This will prevent the trimmer from removing more hair
than desired.
TYPES OF BEARDS/MUSTACHES
GETTING STARTED: OUTLINING YOUR BEARD
1. It is always best to begin with a clean, slightly damp
beard.
2. After you have combed
through your beard in the
direction it grows naturally,
you will want to outline the
desired shape, beginning
under your jawline.
3.Begin defining your beard’s shape under your chin and
work upward on each side of your face toward your ears.
Then define the upper outline of your beard across your
cheeks, past your sideburns and toward your hairline.

du bouton présente la lame de 8 mm pour une taille et un

que la tondeuse soit en marche ou non, désengage la
lame de tonte et engage la lame de découpage. Pour
retourner à la lame de tonte, vous ramenez le bouton
pour rétracter la lame de découpage. La lame de tonte
est alors prête à servir. Poussez le bouton vers la position
la plus avancée ou la plus reculée, jusqu'au déclic, pour
changer les lames. REMARQUE : Avant d'alterner d'une
lame à l'autre, vous devez démonter tout peigne-guide
de la tondeuse. Ne changez pas de lame en cours de
coupe.
DÉPANNAGE
Si la tondeuse rechargeable avec ou sans fil ne semble
pas se recharger, suivez les conseils ci-après avant de
ramener la tondeuse au centre de réparatiion.
1.Assurez-vous que la prise de courant est sous tension
en utilisant un autre appareil pour vérifier.
2. Assurez-vous que la prise électrique n’est pas com-
mandée par un interrupteur qui coupe le courant quand
les lumières sont éteintes.
3. Assurez-vous d’avoir bien inséré la tondeuse dans
le support de charge, que toutes les connexions sont
bien faites et que l’interrupteur de la tondeuse est sur
‹‹ OFF ››.
DIRECTIVES D'UTILISATION
1.Avant d’utiliser la tondeuse la première fois, placez-la
sur le support de charge et laissez-la charger pendant
16 heures. Placez toujours la tondeuse sur le socle,
l’interrupteur réglé sur OFF.
2. Vérifiez toujours si le voyant de charge s’allume
quand vous placez la tondeuse sur le support de charge.
L’interrupteur doit se trouver sur le devant pour que la
tondeuse entre bien dans le support.
3. Branchez le chargeur dans une prise murale (de la
tension indiquée sur l’étiquette signalétique sur le sup-
port). Débranchez l’adaptateur quand vous ne l’utilisez
pas.
4. Le support de charge peut chauffer pendant la
charge; cela est normal.
5. L’autonomie de la pile peut être améliorée en laissant,
à intervalle régulier, la tondeuse fonction¬ner jusqu’à
ce que le moteur s’arrête. Éteignez immédiatement la
tondeuse et rechargez-la à bloc.

ENTRETIEN DE LA TONDEUSE
HUILAGE DES LAMES
Huilez les lames de tonte une fois par mois avec
l’huile fournie dans la trousse. Faire ceci au-dessus
d’un morceau de journal. Assurez -vous qu’il est
en marche (ON) et tenez-le de sorte que les lames
soient dirigées en bas. Étalez une goutte d’huile
à travers les lames, puis arrêtez le tondeuse et
essuyez tout excédant d’huile avec un linge doux.
Faites attention à ne pas employer trop d’huile et
n’huilez pas votre tondeuse plus que nécessaire,
car ceci pourrait endommager le moteur. (Ne huilez
jamais le palier du moteur car il est lubrifi é à vie).
Gardez l'huile hors de la portée des enfants.
ENTRETIEN DES LAMES
La tondeuse étant un instrument précis servant à une fi
n particulière, elle doit être manipulée avec soin. Après
chaque usage, nettoyez les lames avec la petite brosse
de nettoyage. Rangez ensuite la tondeuse sur le support
jusqu’à son usage suivant. Pour assurer la durée utile
prolongée de la tondeuse, ne l’utilisez seulement que
pour l’usage prévu par le fabricant.
FONCTION TURBO
Activé il fournira 15% plus de puissance de tonte. Ceci
ést particulièrement utile pour tondre des cheveux
épais. Pour utiliser la fonction turbo :
1. Placez le commutateur en de position de marche
(ON).
2. Appuyez sur le bouton de Turbo.
3. Tenez le bouton de Turbo enfoncé tant que vous avez
besoin de la puissance supplémentaire.
4. Relâchez le bouton de Turbo pour retourner à la puis-
sance normale.
COMMANDE DE COUPE À TROIS POSITIONS
La commande de coupe de
Conair se trouve au dos de
la tondeuse. Vous pouvez
tenir la tondeuse d'une main
et régler la commande au
besoin. Dans certains cas, la
commande élimine le besoin
d'un peigne car elle vous permet d'ajuster graduel-
lement la longueur de coupe. Pour une coupe plus
courte, poussez la commande au niveau 3. Il s'agit
du réglage pour cette allure de barbe de 2 jours. Pour
une coupe plus longue, poussez la commande lente-
ment vers le niveau 2 ou 1. Notez que trop de poils
dans la tondeuse en ralentira le fonctionnement. Pour
enlever les poils sans enlever les lames, utilisez la
petite brosse de nettoyage et balayez les poils de la
surface de la tondeuse. Remarque : La commande
ne fonctionne qu'avec la lame de tonte principale
de 30 mm.
FAIRE POUSSER UNE BARBE OU UNE MOUSTACHE
Il y a trois facteurs à considérer pour établir quel type de
barbe ou moustache convient le mieux à votre visage :
1. La forme et la grandeur de votre visage.
2. La croissance naturelle des poils.
3. L’épaisseur de la barbe ou moustache.
Si vous n’êtes pas certain du type de barbe ou mous-
tache qui vous conviendrait le mieux, parlez-en avec un
coiffeur et voyez quels conseils il pourrait vous donner.
Une fois que la barbe ou la moustache est taillée, il est
important d’en maintenir l’apparence. Pour ce faire, vous
pouvez utiliser la tondeuse pour tailler votre barbe ou
moustache chaque semaine.
Pour obtenir les meilleurs résultats, la barbe devrait être
légèrement humide (non pas mouillée) avant d’utiliser la
tondeuse.Vous éviterez ainsi de couper trop de poils.
TYPES DE MOUSTACHES/BARBES
TOUT D’ABORD DÉCOUPAGE
1. Il est toujours plus facile de débuter avec une barbe
propre et légèrement humide.
2. Une fois la barbe peignée dans le sens de la pousse
naturelle, découpez-la de la forme voulue, en débu-
tant avec le contour de la
mâchoire.
3. Découpez la forme en
partant sous le menton et
en travaillant vers le haut,
de part et d’autre du visage
jusqu’aux oreilles. Découpez ensuite le haut, le long
des joues, des favoris et vers la ligne des cheveux.
MAINTENANT, VOUS ÊTES PRÊT À
VOUS TONDRE LA BARBE
1. La tondeuse vient avec un peigne à 10 positions pour
la lame de découpage (2-6,5
mm), donnant des longueurs
de 2 mm (la plus courte) à
6,5 mm (la plus longue).
2. Pour utiliser le peigne à
10 positions, insérez-le sur
les lames et enclenchez-le en place. Commencez par
utiliser la position la plus longue jusqu’à ce que vous

3. Begin trimming your beard using smooth, even
strokes. Start with your sideburns and work downward
toward your chin. (Never attempt to trim against the
natural growth of your beard because the hair will be
cut too short.)
4. If you decide you want a closer trim, you can now
adjust the 10-position comb attachment to a shorter
setting (such as 5.5mm or 6mm) and go over your
beard again until you achieve the desired length.
BLENDING THE JAWLINE
1. The three jawline attachments will help you to
achieve a neat, finished trim under your chin. To use
one of the attachments, press it down over the trimmer
blades until it clicks into position.
2. Hold the trimmer in an upright position and begin
trimming under your jawline, using short, even
strokes.
3.After your beard is blended, turn off the trimmer and
remove the attachment by gently pulling up on tab.
TO TRIM YOUR MUSTACHE
1. For best results, start
with a clean, slightly damp
mustache.
2. Comb through your
mustache in the direction
it grows.
3. Place the 10-position comb over the facial hair blade
and snap it into position. It is a good idea to start with
the longest trim setting adjustment. (You can always
go back and cut your mustache more closely with a
shorter setting.)

length, remove the 10-position comb and, using the
blades only, define the outline of the bottom of your

TO TRIM YOUR GOATEE AND
OTHER PRECISION TRIMMING
For precision trimming of tight areas, you will need to
use the 8mm detailing blade.
1. Remove any guide comb that may be attached to the
trimmer.
2. With the power on or off, simply slide the top button
forward to change from the main trimming blade to
the 8mm detailing blade. This easy motion disen-
gages the trimmer blade and activates the detailing
blade.
3. Trim goatee or any other tight areas.
4. When precision trimming is completed, slide the
button back and the detailing blade retracts.
5. The trimmer blade is now ready to use again.

Pour enlever le jeu de lames, éteignez d’abord la
tondeuse. Placez le pouce contre le petit couteau et
poussez vers le haut pour séparer le jeu de lames de
la tondeuse. Posez un nouveau jeu de lames en procé-
dant en sens inverse du retrait. Cette fois, cependant,
placez le pouce contre le gros couteau et poussez pour
enclencher le jeu en place.Assurez-vous que la com-
mande d'angle se trouve à la position 1, la plus longue.

2. Using a small Phillips head screwdriver, remove
the two screws at the back of the trimmer.
3. Remove the bottom housing and flip it over to
remove the four screws in the battery cover. Bring
the batteries to the nearest collection center for
proper disposal. DO NOT throw the battery into the
normal municipal waste system.
