When using electrical appliances, especially
when children are present, take basic safety
precautions, including the following.

DANGER – Any appliance is
electrically live, even when the switch is off.
To reduce the risk of death or injury by
electric shock:
1. Unplug this appliance after using and
before cleaning.
2. Do not place or store appliance where it can
fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
3. Do not use while bathing or in a shower.
4. Do not place in, or drop into, water or
other liquids.
5. Do not reach for an appliance that has
fallen into water. Unplug immediately. Dry
location use only. Do not expose to liquid,
vapor or rain.
6. Except when charging, always unplug this
appliance from electrical outlet immediately
after using.
7. Never operate the adapter if the
specification is out of the rating.

not use attachments not recommended
by the
manufacturer. Do not use an extension
cord to operate this appliance.
4. Never operate this appliance if it
has a damaged cord or plug, or if it
is not working properly, if it has been
dropped or damaged, or dropped
into water. Return the appliance to a
service centre for examination and
repair.
5. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
6. Never drop or insert any object into any
opening on this appliance.
7. Do not place appliance on any surface
while it is operating.
8. Do not use this appliance with a damaged
or broken comb or with teeth missing
from the blades, as injury may occur.
Before use, make certain blades are
aligned properly. (See “Taking Care of
Your Trimmer.”)
9. Do not use outdoors or operate where
aerosol (spray) products are being used or
where oxygen is being administered.
10. Never operate the appliance with the
air openings blocked or place on a soft
surface, such as a bed or couch, where
the air openings may be blocked. Keep the
air openings free of lint, hair, and the like.
11. Always attach plug to appliance first, then
to outlet. To disconnect, turn all controls
to OFF, then remove plug from outlet.
12. Do not let skin come into contact with
moving blades.
13. Do not short the polarity (output cord).
Ensure jack is plugged into the unit before
plugging the adapter into outlet.
14. Be sure voltage is correct before
plugging in.

INSTRUCTIONS
The Conair For Men®Face & Body Trimmer is a
professional grade rechargeable trimmer with
electro-chemically formed precision blades with
an ultra-sharp cutting angle for smooth,
effortless cutting. Lithium-ion technology gives
sustained power performance for reliable
cordless use, even at low charge levels.
Lightweight for easy handling, it can be used
with a power cord or cordless for total
convenience and control, and with five
professional interchangeable heads for allover
trimming and grooming you get a perfect result
every time. Also included are a 7-position
trimmer comb attachment, a stubble comb
attachment, a body groomer comb attachment,
nose and ear trimmer, foil shaver, charging and
storage base and a cleaning brush.
For connection to an electric supply not in the
U.S.A., use an attachment plug adapter of the
proper configuration for the power outlet.
Warning: Changes or modification to this unit
not expressly approved by the party responsible
for compliance could void the user’s authority
to operate the equipment.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your cordless/rechargeable trimmer does
not seem to be taking a charge, take the
following troubleshooting steps before
returning it for repair:
1. Be sure the electrical outlet is working
by plugging in another appliance to test it.
2. Make sure the electrical plug is not
connected to a switch that turns power
off when lights are turned off.
3. Make sure that the adapter is inserted
into the trimmer properly, all connections
are secure and the trimmer switch is in the
OFF position.
OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT! Use only the adapter and
attachments supplied with this appliance.
Please note, if the wrong adapter is used, the
LED will blink continuously. Once the wrong
adapter is removed the LED will continue to blink
for some time after removal. This is normal. When
charging the appliance the blue LED charging
light will flash slowly and continuously until the
battery has fully charged, then the blue LED
charging light will stop flashing but remain on.
1. Before using for the first time, the appliance
should be fully charged continuously for
3 hours. This initial super-charge ensures
optimum power performance to ensure
smooth, fast trimming every time. Maximum
battery capacity will be reached only after 3
charging and discharging cycles.
2. A 2-hour full charge will provide
approximately 80 minutes of use and
30 minutes quick charge will supply 20
minutes use.
3. Insert the appliance into the charging and
storage stand.
4. Ensure the appliance is switched off.
5. Insert the adapter plug into the hole on
the base of the stand and push firmly into
position.
6. Route the cord through the channel on the
base of the stand and secure in place.
7. Should you wish to charge the appliance
without using the charging stand, simply
place the adapter plug directly into the
trimmer.
8. Plug the adapter into any wall outlet (at the
voltage listed on the label affixed to the
adapter). Unplug the adapter when not in
use.
9. The adapter may become warm while
charging – this is normal.
10. The battery life can be improved by
periodically allowing the trimmer to run
until the motor stops. Immediately turn the
switch and fully recharge.
CORDLESS OPERATION
1. Ensure appliance is charged for a minimum
of 30 minutes. The blue LED charging light
will flash when the adapter is correctly
inserted into the appliance and connected
to the outlet.
2. Once the appliance is fully charged the
blue LED charging light will stop flashing
but remain on. Remove the cord from the
appliance, turn on and use as required.

TAKING CARE OF YOUR TRIMMER
BLADE CARE
Because the trimmer blades are precision-made
for a very special use, they should always be
handled with care. Each time you finish using
the trimmer use the cleaning brush provided to
brush away any loose hair that has collected in
the blades. Then store the trimmer in its storage
pouch to protect the blades until the next use.
Be especially careful when changing or
adjusting blades. When you have your trimmer
serviced, be sure that both blades are
sharpened or replaced at the same time.
To promote the long life of the appliance, use
your trimmer only for the purpose intended by
the manufacturer.
In order to maintain the optimum capacity of
the lithium-ion rechargeable batteries, the
trimmer should be fully discharged and then
recharged for 2 hours every 3 months.
For optimum performance, we recommend you
charge the unit for at least 30 minutes before
using the appliance each time. This applies
whether you are using corded or cordless power.
PREPARATION FOR USE
Always inspect the appliance before use for
noticeable signs of damage.
•Do not use if damaged.
•Ensure the heads are free from hair and debris.
•Ensure the appliance is sufficiently charged.
•Use on clean, dry hair that has been combed
until tangle-free.
ATTACHING AND REMOVING ACCESSORIES
Make sure that the unit is switched off before
changing the trimmer
head or accessories.
To attach a head, fit the base
of the accessory onto the unit,
pressing it until you hear a click.
To remove a head, hold the
handle of the unit in one hand
and push up on the head with
your free hand (Fig. 1).
USING THE CUTTING GUIDE
The cutting guide guarantees
uniform cutting length.
IMPORTANT: Always attach the cutting guide
BEFORE turning the trimmer on, and turn unit
off before changing the guide. The cutting
length of your trimmer is manually adjustable.
To increase the cutting length,
push the cutting guide up. To reduce the
cutting length, push the cutting guide down.
The selected length is displayed at the back of
the trimmer.
Make sure you always trim or style your beard
against the hair growth.
TYPES OF BEARDS/MUSTACHES
GETTING STARTED:
Decide on the type of beard or mustache
that best suits your face, taking into account
the size of your face and natural growth and
thickness of your
beard and/or mustache. After deciding on the
form of the beard and/or mustache, it is easy to
maintain its appearance by using the trimmer
as soon as you feel it is necessary. For better
results, we recommend cutting the beard when
it is dry. This helps make the cut precise and
comfortable.
To outline using the beard and mustache
trimmer:
•Do not attach a comb attachment.
•Hold the trimmer upside
down with the blade
facing downward.
•Move the trimmer gently
downward in small strokes
around the edge of the area
you wish to outline.
•Having defined the outline, hold the trimmer
with the blades pointing upward and move
the trimmer upward against the direction of
hair growth. This will trim the unwanted hair
adjacent to the outline.
7-Position Comb Attachment
for Beard and Mustache Trimmer
•Ensure the appliance is switched off.
•Attach the trimmer head.
•Align the trimmer with the tracks at the back
of the handle. Slide the trimmer head onto
the tracks. Push down the
release mechanism to push
it right on to the handle.
•The comb attachment will
be set to the shortest length
when the comb guide is fully pressed down.
•With your thumb, push the guide up to
the required length (2–14mm). The comb
attachment has 7 positions; 2mm, 4mm,
6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm and 14mm.
•To remove the comb, place your thumb on the
back of the attachment and push up.
Using the Beard and Mustache Trimmer
with 7-position Comb Attachment or Taper
Comb Attachment
•Attach the 7-position comb attachments and
select the required length (2-14mm).
•If you require more than one cutting length,
start with the longest length first.
•Switch the trimmer on.
•Hold the trimmer with the teeth of the
trimmer pointing upward.
•Move the trimmer upward and outward
through the hair, against the direction of hair
growth.
•The trimmer will work most efficiently when
cutting through hair at its own speed.
•Never switch the appliance off while in the
hair.
Note: The beard and mustache trimmer can
be used without any comb attachments and
will cut roughly to a length of 0.5mm.
Stubble Attachment
The taper control with 6-position switch
enables super-fine cut adjustment for precision
trimming.
•Attach taper control by
sliding the head onto the
tracks at the rear of the
handle.
•To increase the length by
0.5mm to a cutting length
of 1mm, slide the switch across so the line is
lined up with the desired length (i.e., 1mm,
1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm and 3.0mm.)
•To increase the length by a further 0.5mm to
a cutting length of 1.5mm, slide the switch
down so both 1 and 2 are visible above the
taper control switch.

•Ensure the appliance is switched off.

DISPOSAL OF LITHIUM ION BATTERIES
This trimmer has a lithium ion batteries. To
protect the environment, these batteries should
be removed and properly disposed of when
the unit is no longer operating. To remove the
battery block for disposal or recovery, follow
these instructions:
1. First, unplug the trimmer.
2. Open the trimmer and remove the batteries
using wire cutters.
3. To protect the environment, do not dispose
of your batteries with your ordinary
household waste.
For more details on recovery of materials and
waste treatment facilities, please contact the
waste disposal services in your region.

Using the Body Groomer with Comb
Attachment:
•Attach the body grooming attachment.
•Add on the comb attachment if a longer
length is required.
•Switch the trimmer on.
•Hold the trimmer flat against the skin.
•Move the trimmer upward and outward
through the hair, against the direction of hair
growth.
•Make sure to be particularly careful when
trimming sensitive areas.
•The trimmer will work most efficiently when
cutting through hair at its own speed.
•Never switch the appliance off while in the hair.
Note: The body groomer can be used without
any comb attachments and will cut roughly to a
length of 0.5mm.
Using the Foil Shaver:
•For an ultra-smooth finish, use
the foil shaver attachment.
•Always ensure the foil is not
damaged before each use.
•Switch the trimmer on.
•Move the shaver gently over the skin,
applying minimal pressure and shaving in
the direction of hair growth. Make sure to be
particularly careful when trimming sensitive
areas.
•Never switch the appliance off while in the hair.
Using the Nose & Ear Trimmer:
•For the safe and easy removal of unwanted
nose and ear hair use the rotary trimmer
head.
•Switch the trimmer on.
•Insert the trimmer into the nose
or ear and gently move the
trimmer in a circular motion.
•Only use the trimmer at the
entrance to the ear or nose. Do
not use any deeper, as this could cause injury.
•Never turn the trimmer off while in the nose
and ear hair.
Using the Detailing Trimmer:
•For accurate trim lines and detailed effects,
attach the detailing trimmer head.
•Switch the trimmer on.
•Gently move the blade through
the area of hair you wish to
trim.
•The trimmer will work most
efficiently when cutting
through hair at its own speed.
•Never turn the trimmer off while in the hair.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
To maintain optimum performance, the
appliance should be cleaned after each use:
•Remove the comb attachment after use.
Rinse under running water and dry thoroughly
before storage or use.
•Remove the trimmer head after use. The
heads are washable for easy cleaning. Rinse
under running water and dry thoroughly
before storage or use.
•Do not disassemble the blades.

Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your unit free
of charge for 36 months from the date of purchase if
the appliance is defective in workmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return the
defective product to the service centre listed below,
together with your purchase receipt and $5.50 for
postage and handling. In the absence of a purchase
receipt, the warranty period shall be 36 months from the
date of manufacture.
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS, OR
LIABILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE
IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL
BE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE 36 MONTH
DURATION OF THIS WRITTEN, LIMITED WARRANTY.
IN NO EVENT SHALL CONAIR BE LIABLE FOR
ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF THIS OR ANY OTHER
WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WHATSOEVER.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you
may also have other rights, which vary from province
to province.
