WARRANTY
Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your unit
free of charge for 12 months from the date of
purchase if the appliance is defective in workman-
ship or materials. To obtain service under this
warranty, return the defective product to the service
center listed below, together with your purchase
receipt and $7.50 for postage and handling. In the
absence of a purchase receipt, the warranty period
will be 12 months from the date of manufacture.
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS
OR LIABILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT
LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF
MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL BE LIMITED IN
DURATION TO THE 12-MONTH DURATION OF
THIS WARRANTY.
IN NO EVENT SHALL CONAIR BE LIABLE
FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR

INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electrical appliance, basic
precautions should always be taken, including the
following: Read all instructions before using this
appliance.
WARNING–
To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock,
or injury to persons:
1) This appliance is not for use by children or
individuals with certain disabilities.
2) Do not operate under blanket or pillow.
Excessive heating can occur and cause fire,
electric shock, or injury to persons.
3) Use this appliance only for its intended use as
described in this manual.
4) Never operate the appliance with the air
openings blocked. Keep the air opening free
of lint, hair, and other debris.
5) Never operate on a soft surface, such as a bed
or a couch, where air openings may be blocked.
6) Never drop or insert any object into any of the
openings.
INSTALLING BATTERY
- Open the battery cover on the back by turning
the battery door screw counter-clockwise (see
arrow on the cover).
- Install or replace the 2 AA batteries not included)
following the polarity diagram in the battery com-
partment.
- Replace the cover and tighten the battery door
screw.
- Replace the batteries when the sound becomes
weak or distorted at ordinary volume level when
listening to the radio.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING BATTERIES
- Always purchase the correct size and grade of
battery most suitable for the intended use.
- Replace all batteries of a set at the same time.
- Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not
mix alkaline, standard(carbon-zinc), or
rechargeable(nickel cadmium) batteries.
- Clean the battery contacts and also those of the
device prior to battery installation.
- Ensure the batteries are installed correctly with
regard to polarity (+ and -).
- Remove batteries from equipment which is not to
be used for an extended period of time.
- Remove used batteries promptly.
DISPOSAL OF BATTERIES
When replacing the batteries, make sure you
dispose of the old batteries in accordance with
applicable regulations. They should be disposed
of in a location specifically designated for that
purpose so they can be recycled safely and with-
out posing any risk for the environment. Do not
burn or bury them.
RADIO OPERATION
- Press the power switch button once to turn the
radio on.
- Adjust the volume control to your desired sound
level.
- Adjust the tuning knob to select your favorite
station.
