Operation:
•Change Bit: pull the collet ring towards the body of the screwdriver and insert the
desired bit. The release the collet ring and the bit will be automatically locked into
position.
•Torque Adjustment: Twist the torque nut towards the body of the driver in a clockwise
motion for more tension/ torque. Twist the torque nut away from the body of the driver
in a counter clockwise motion for less tension/ torque.
•Lock out Ring: The torque setting can be locked in by removing the spring band from the
torque adjusting nut and inserting a set screw. The set screw is included with every new
driver.
•Power supply: Plug the driver directly into a 110 v power outler (X series only) or
connect to the T-1-CL HL controller. Twist the locking ring on the male connector
clockwise to lick the connection in place.
•Turn power on: The green “ready” light on the T-1-CL HL controller indicates the system
is receiving power and is ready for use.
•Tightening fasteners: Apply light axial pressure through the tool onto the fastener.
Squeeze the trigger to start and run down the fastener. When reaching preset torque,
the tool will stop automatically. When releasing the trigger the tool is once again ready
for use. Please make sure the tool, the axial pressure and the fastener are all in a
straight line. Tilting the tool will result in irregular stops and may damage the fastener.
•Reversing: If a screw is properly set, slide the forward/ reverse selector found on the
back shoulder of the tool into the reverse position and apply pressure to the lever.
•Overload: If the red “overload” light illuminates on the T-1-CL HL controller this
indicates the system is being used beyond its recommended capacity. Please reduce the
torque setting on the driver or extended use can result in permanent damage to the
motor and gear set.
•Maintenance: We recommend replacing the carbon brush set every 400,000 cycles or a
minimum of 1x per year and greasing the front gear set at the same interval. If properly
maintained the driver will offer long term reliability for your application needs.
•Warranty: All Conos products come with a standard 6 month warranty.
