INSTRUCTION MANUAL

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
zRead all instructions.
zTo protect against the risk of electric shock DO NOT IMMERSE the appliance, cordset or
plug in water or any other liquid.
zClose supervision is necessary when any appliance is operated near children. The
appliance must not be used by children.
zThe appliance must always be unplugged when not in use, before cleaning or changing
accessories.
zAvoid contacting moving parts. Keep hands, hair and utensils, other than the stirrer away
from motor base during operation to prevent injury and/ or damage to the appliance.
zDo not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, orif appliance malfunctions or
is damaged in any manner.
zHandle sharp blender blades carefully to avoid cuts and injuries.
zThe use of attachments or accessories not recommended or sold by this appliance
manufacturer may result in fire, electrical shock or injury.
zThis appliance is designed for indoor use only.
zDo not allow cord to hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
zDo not place unit on or near a gas or electric burner or a heated oven.
zDo not leave the appliance unattended. Do not use the appliance for other than its
intended use.
zOperate the appliance with the lid in place. Never use the stirrer unless the lid is fitted.
zEnsure switch off the unit after use. Make sure the motor stops completely before
disassembled.
zIf the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent
or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
zCheck that the voltage of the appliance corresponds to the voltage at your house.
zWash the goblet in warm soapy water and rinse well. See “Cleaning”.
zScrew the tap assembly onto the goblet. Ensure the tap lever is in the off position.
zThe goblet assembly should be firmly in place on motor base.

OPERATION GUIDE
1. Turn the switch to off position “0”. Plug the power cord into a suitable socket. Ensure that
the alignment marks on the jar, goblet base and motor housing are in line.
2. Put liquid ingredients first. This includes milk, fresh yoghurt, fruit (not frozen) and fruit
juices. To avoid the contents from overflowing use the capacity guide on the goblet wall.
Do not exceed 1.7 litre.
3. Add ice or frozen ingredients to the goblet. This includes frozen fruit, frozen yoghurt, ice
cream or ice cube. Ensure the food to be blended is not too thick. Take care not to
overload the cutter blades.
4. Place the lid securely onto the goblet. Put either lid stopper or stirrer in the goblet. The
stirrer is recommended for blending thick mixtures or large amount of frozen food.
NOTE: DO NOT OPERATE THE BLENDER WITHOUT THE LID.
5. To start the mixing process, press pulse button “O/P” for 20-30 seconds. Then, press Low
speed button “1” or High speed button “2” to blend the ingredients until it is smooth. Use
the stirrer by moving it in anti-clockwise direction.
6. Place a glass under the tap. Press button “O/P” and press down the tap lever to dispense
drinks.
It is easier to dispense thinner drinks without switching on the appliance.
Use the stirrer to dispense thick smoothie drinks.

7. When the glass is full; switch off and release the lever.
8. You may directly switch off the appliance, remove the goblet and pour the drink.
NOTE: NEVER IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE IN WATER.
USEFUL INFORMATION
zDO NOT BLEND HOT LIQUIDS.
zDO NOT OPERATE LONGER THAN 60 SECONDS AT ONE TIME. Stop and cool for 5
minutes then resume.
zTo make a thinner smoothie drink, add more liquid.
zTo make a thicker smoothie drink, add more frozen ingredients.
zDo not overfill as some liquids will increase in volume and froth during blending (e.g. milk).
zDo not blend solid freezing food, break it up before adding to the goblet.
zDo not switch on if the appliance is empty. The cutter bearing may be damaged if run
empty or blend dry ingredients.
zDo not use the goblet to store beverages or foods.
zSome drinks may not be completely smooth after blending due to seeds or the fibrous
nature of the ingredients.
CLEANING
zThe pulse button allows you to clean the goblet and the blade easily and rapidly.
zPour a little lukewarm water into the goblet.
zTurn to pulse function for a few seconds.
zWhilst running, press the tap lever and allow water to drain into a container and clean the
tap assembly. This can be repeated if necessary.
zRemove the goblet and rinse under running water. Handle the blender blade carefully.
zLid, lid stopper and stirrer shall be rinsed with water and dry them thoroughly.
zWipe and clean the motor housing with a damp cloth. Never immerse in water.
zDo not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pad on appliance.
zIn case the goblet is necessary to remove for cleaning; refer to below dismantle/assembly
instruction:
Remove the tap assembly by turning in anti-clockwise direction.
Remove the goblet from the base by turning in anti-clockwise direction.
Take out the silicone seal ring (see figure 1).
After cleaning, assemble all parts back in reverse direction. (see figure 2).

CONNECTION TO POWER
Before connecting, check that the voltage indicated on the appliance (bottom of the
appliance) corresponds with the main voltage in your home. If this is not the case, consult
your dealer and do not use.
This appliance may be fitted with a non-rewirable plug. If you need to change the fuse in a
non-rewirable plug, the fuse cover must be refitted. If thefuse cover is lost or damaged, the
plug must not be used until a replacement is obtained (available from the appliance
manufacturer).
If the plug has to be changed because it is not suitable for your socket, or becomes
damaged, it should be cut off and appropriate plug fitted following the wiring instructions.
The plug removed must be disposed of safely as insertion into a mains socket is likely to
cause an electrical hazard.
This equipment must be disconnected from the mains when not in use. Do not allow this
unit to be exposed to rain or moisture.
For your own safety read the following instructions carefully before attempting to
connect this unit to the mains.
You should only plug the appliance into a 230V-240V AC, 50Hz supply. Connecting it to
other power sources may damage the appliance.
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
BLUE = NEUTRAL
BROWN = LIVE

IMPORTANT
The colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter N or coloured
black.
The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter Lor coloured red.
If a 13 Amp (BS1363) fused plug is used it must be fitted with a 13A fuse conforming to
BS1362 and be ASTA approved.

DISPOSAL INFORMATION
Waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste. Please
recycle where facilities exist. Check with your local authority for recycling advice.

This product is guaranteed against manufacturing defects for a period of 1 year.
This does not cover the product where the fault is due to misuse, abuse, use in contravention
of the instructions, or where the product has been the subject of unauthorised modifications or
alterations, or has been the subject of commercial use.
In the event of a problem with the product within the guarantee period please return it to your
nearest Argos store.
If the item is shown to have had an inherent defect present at the time of sale, the store will
provide you with a replacement.

RECIPES
Pineapple and coconut smoothie
Serve 4 glasses
250ml pineapple juice
1 can (425g) pineapple pieces in juice
150ml coconut milk
6 small scoops vanilla ice cream
(approximate weight 300g)
Put the contents of the can of pineapple in
juice into the goblet together with the
additional pineapple juice and coconut milk.
Add the ice cream. Switch to speed “1” for
10 seconds, then to speed “2” for 30
seconds. Serve immediately.
Pineapple and apricot smoothie
Serve 4 glasses
220ml pineapple juice
200ml Greek yoghurt
180g fresh pineapple, cut into pieces
3 fresh apricots, stones removed and cut
10 ice cubes
Put the pineapple juice, yoghurt, pineapple
and apricot into the goblet. Add the ice
cubes. Switch to speed “1” for 20 seconds,
then to speed “2” for 30 seconds. Serve
immediately.
Raspberry cream
Serve 4 large glasses
500g raspberry yoghurt
250ml orange juice
150g frozen raspberries
150g (approximately 2 scoops)
frozen yoghurt dessert, vanilla flavour
Put the fresh yoghurt and orange juice into
the goblet. Add the frozen raspberries and
frozen yoghurt. Switch to speed “1” for 10
seconds, then to speed “2” for 30 seconds.
Serve immediately.
Strawberry lemon smoothie
Serve 4 glasses
300g strawberry yoghurt
450ml lemonade
400g frozen strawberries
Put the yoghurt and lemonade into the
goblet. Add the frozen strawberries. Switch
to speed “1” for 10 seconds, then to speed
“2” for 10 seconds. Serve immediately.
Chocolate shake
Serve 2 glasses
400ml semi skimmed milk
4 small scoops chocolate ice cream
(approximate weight 200g)
Put the milk into the goblet. Add the ice
cream. Switch to speed “1” for 10 seconds,
then to speed “2” for 10 seconds. Serve
immediately.
Fruity cool
Serve 4 glasses
400ml orange juice
300g fresh strawberries
8 ice cubes
Put the fruit and orange juice into the
goblet. Add the ice cubes. Switch to speed
“1” for 20 seconds, then to speed “2” for 20
seconds. Serve immediately
Banana milkshake
Serve 4 glasses
3 medium bananas (cut into chunks)
500mls semi skimmed milk
6 small scoops vanilla ice-cream
(approximate weight 300g)
Place the bananas and milk into the goblet.
Add the ice cream. Switch to speed “1” for
10 seconds, then to speed “2” for 10
seconds. Serve immediately.

Lemon melon smoothie
Serve 2 glasses
500g diced melon
250ml lemon yogurt
200g frozen green grapes
1 fresh mint, minced
15ml fresh lemon juice
Put the melon, yoghurt, grapes and mint
into the goblet. Add the lemon juice.
Switch to speed “1” for 10 seconds, to
speed “2” for 10 seconds. Serve
immediately.
Coffee smoothie
Serve 2 glasses
200ml Espresso coffee
150ml milk
4 small scoops vanilla ice cream
(approximate weight 200g)
Sugar to taste
Put the coffee, milk and sugar (if used) into
the goblet. Add the ice cream. Switch to
speed “1” for 10 seconds, then to speed “2”
for 10 seconds. Serve immediately.
Fruit smasher
Serve 4 glasses
120g fresh raspberries
120g fresh strawberries
150ml lemonade
150ml apple juice
2 nectarines, stones removed and flesh cut
up
8 ice cubes
Put all the fruit and juice into the goblet.
Add the ice cubes. Switch to speed “1” for
10 seconds, then to speed “2” for 20
seconds. Serve immediately.
Cucumber smoothie
Serve 4 glasses
450ml apple juice
Half cucumber and cut up
2 kiwi fruit and cut up
4 mint leaves
10 ice cubes
Put the apple juice, cucumber, kiwi and
mint leaves into the goblet, then add the ice
cubes. Switch to speed “1” for 15 seconds,
then to speed “2” for 15 seconds. Serve
immediately.
