TheCOREColourPointfixtureisabattery‐poweredwirelessup‐lightercapableofprovidingportableandinstant
architecturalandfeaturelightinganywhere.Withhigh‐poweredred,green,blueandwhiteLEDsthefixtureis
capableofproducinganycolourorshadeofwhiteusingcombinationsofthoseLEDs.Idealforilluminatingbuildings
incolour,bothindoorsandoutdoors,thefixtureispowerfulenoughtolightbuildingsof3or4storeys.Lighting
effectsmaybecreatedbyconnectingtoeffectsgeneratorssuchaslightingdesksorotherCOREMasterunitsusing
thein‐builtWirelessDMXreceiver.Simplyconnectwirelesslytothetransmitterofthegenerator.

Thebatterychargermaybeincludedasanaccessoryforindividuallyhiredfixturesorbuiltintotheflightcaseforthe
chargingofmultiplefixtures.Ineithercasethesupplyhasaninputvoltagerangeof100‐240VACat50/60Hz.
Ensuretheproductisusedonlywithcorrectvoltageandfrequencyofmainssupply.
Neverconnectthechargerorchargingcasetoadimmercircuit,evenwhenadimmerhasbeen
configuredfor‘non‐dim’or‘switchedoperation.
VentilationandMounting
Alwaysusetheproductinasafepositionandensurethereisenoughroomarounditforventilation.
Neverclosethelidduringcharging;thisallowsescapeofheat.
Operation
Power
Pushandholdthispowerbuttonfor>1secondtoswitchtheunitONorOFF.
Thedisplaywillshow“CoreLighting”andsoftwareversionforafewsecondsbeforestarting.
Thedisplaybacklightwillextinguishafterashorttimetoreducepoweruse
Reset
Toresettheunit,holddowntheup anddown buttonsthenpressthepower button.Whenthe
unitstartsup,releasethebuttonsantheunitwillstartupasusualandfollowedbythemessage“MASTER
RESET”toconfirmtheunithasreset.
Charging
TurntheunitOFFbeforeconnectingtothecharger

Forcasechargerstheunitshouldbeinsertedintothecase.
Externalchargersshouldbepluggedintothe5‐pinconnectoronthefrontofthe

Whenusingachargingflightcase,ensuretheunitispushedfullydownonthechargingconnectorand

andreceiver.Thisallowsthefixturecolourtobesetupbyorsynchronizedwithsequences
producedbyaDMXlightingcontrollerorotherColourPointunitwheninReceive,orSLAVE
mode.
AlternativelywheninMASTERmodetheunitcanbelinkedtomanySlaveunitswhichwill
thenduplicateeverythingoutputfromtheMaster.
IfyouarenotusingaColourPointasaMasterunitthenacompatibleW‐DMXtransmitterattachedtoaDMX
controllerisnecessary.Thiscouldbealightingdesk,aspecificcontroller,oraCOREPoint15,20or30Masterunit.
Whenthe‘FunctionDMX’screenisshown,afterafewsecondsthescreenautomatically
revertstothelastmodeused,eitherMasterorSlave.Bypressingthekeythe‘DMX
Type’screenisshown,whichallowstheusertoselecttheoppositemodeusingor
key.
DMXMasterOperation
OnceMastermodeisset,theMastermaybelinkedtoanynumberofunlinkedslavesby
pressingtheWirelesskeymomentarily.
Theadjacentlinklightwillflashforafewsecondswhilstitlinkstotheunlinkedslaveunits
thengosolid.
DMXSlaveOperation
WheninDMXSlavemodethedisplaywillshowthecurrentactiveDMXStartAddressso
theunitcanbecontrolledfromelsewhere.
Thenumberofchannelsoccupiedisdependsonthe“DMXMODE”setting(4or5channels
maybeusedbythefixture).
Inthismodetheentireuniverseisoutputonasideconnectorpin,forwhichaconnectorcableisavailabletohire
fromABCProductionServicesforconnectiontoothernon‐wirelessfixtures.

Bypressingthekeythelastusedeffecttypeisbroughtup,whichcanthenbe
changedusingtheand keys.
Bypressingthekeytoconfirmtheeffecttype,thespeedcanbeadjustedfroma
range1to10usingtheandkeys.Whenconfirmedwiththe keythescreen
revertstoshowtheeffectandspeed.
W‐DMXPairingandUnpairing
ColourPointunitsneedtobemanuallypairedwiththelightingcontrolunitequippedwithaW‐DMXtransmitter.This
couldbealightingdeskwithDMXOutput,oraCOREPoint15/20/30MasterunitwithaW‐DMXtransmitterinside.
ThisallowsagroupofColourPointfixturestobecontrolledfromthelightingdeskorPoint15/20/30Masterusingthe
built‐incolourcycles(InsidePoint15/20/30).Orsetupindividuallyselectedcoloursacrossmanyunitsatoncefrom
justoneMasterunit.
W‐DMXLinkLED
TheW‐DMXlinkstatusisshownbytheLINKLED,thisprovidesinformationontheW‐DMXlink.Thisfollowsthe
samestatusindicationasallWirelessSolutionW‐DMXproducts.
DescriptionforoperationinSlavemode:
OFF IftheLEDisOFFtheColourPointisnotpairedwithaW‐DMXtransmitter
FLASHING IftheLEDisFLASHINGtheColourPointispairedwithaW‐DMXtransmitter,butthetransmitteris
switchedoff.
STEADYON IftheLEDisSTEADILYILLUMINATEDtheColourPointispairedwith,andreadytoreceivedatafrom
aW‐DMXtransmitter.Thisisafullypairedandfullyfunctioningsystem.
UNEVENFLASHING IftheLEDisFLASHINGunevenly,theColourPointcouldbepairedwithaW‐DMXtransmitter,the
transmitterisswitchedon,butnoDMXInputtothetransmitter.

“LongLife”reducestheLEDoutputby50%,thereforeenables2xrunningperiodforALLFUNCTIONS,whetherstand‐

Tochangethepowermodepressthekeyandusetheand keystoselect“CHANGESettings”thenpress
thekey.Usetheand keystoselect“POWERMODE”andpress toselect.
Usetheand keystotogglebetween“Norm”and“LongLife”thenpress tosavechanges.Thissetting
affectsallStatic,CustColrandDMXmodessothatthebatterylifeofeachunitcanbeindividuallyset,irrespectiveof
what’scontrollingit.
BrightnessControl
Underthe“CHANGESettings”menuColourPointhasaseparatebrightnesscontrolthatcancontroltheoutputof
theunitinstand‐alonemode:
Thevaluemaybechangedfrom0to100%infivesteps:
0%,20%,40%,60%,80%,100%.
Pressthekeyandusetheand keystoselect“CHANGESettings”thenpress.toaccept.
