4.4 Set the cutting tool hole position by
releasing the adjusting handle and moving the
cutter assembly to the desired location. The
central position of each end cap is marked on
the side of the tool.
4.5 Set the hole diameter on the gauge shown
in Figure 3. The gauge should be set to the
measurement taken from the special measuring
tape.
WARNING: Cut holes only along the seams,
and in the areas designated in Figure 4. When cutting
an end cap, it is recommended that the cutting tool be
kept at a slight angle to allow the shavings and discs to
fall free of the hole being cut. If the tool jams while
cutting an end cap, the blade should NOT be forced.
Instead, reverse the cutting motion, clear the hole, and
resume the cutting.
4. Operation of Cutting Tool
WARNING: Be sure to observe all local and
safety practices when operating the cutting tool.
4.1 If the cutting tool support is to be used,
mount the support to a stable object, and then
mount the cutting tool to the support.
4.2 Set the end cap stop of the cutting tool to
correspond with the size of the end cap being
cut (Figure 3).
4.3 Place end cap segments between the
cutting tool clamps, and tighten the top screw
on the clamp as shown in Figure 3.
a. The inside surface of the end cap should be
facing the cutting blade.
b. The end cap seam should be vertical.
