The Altra Wear is a wearable device designed to be worn on the wrist or around the neck of
a service user. It comes with a neck lanyard and a wrist strap.
It is activated by pressing the red button in the centre.
The Altra Wear is powered by 1 x CR2032 battery, with a battery life of between 6 -12 months
depending on usage.

The Altra Wear can be worn in two positions, around the neck using the lanyard, or on the
wrist like a watch. The two options are pictured below.

The battery tab must be removed before
use, gently pull it through the gap.
Operating instructions
To make a call on the Altra Wear
1. Press down on the button in the
middle once. The reassurance LED
will flash, a beep will sound, and a
radio message will be sent to the
nearest Altra device listening. The
Call will be displayed on the Courtney
Thorne system.
Resetting a Call
To reset an active call:
1. Press and hold down the red button
for approximately 2-3 seconds until
the light flashes twice and the Wear
will beep twice.
2. Release the button

To change the battery, you
will require a small Slotted
screwdriver.
1. Remove the four screws
to the rear of the Wear
and set aside.
2. Once the back is
removed you can remove
the circuit board inside.
Note the position of the
notch to align the board
correctly when replacing.
3. Once removed the
battery can be replaced
taking care to replace it the
correct way around.
The Altra Wear requires:
1 x CR2032 lithium, do not
use rechargeable batteries.
To reassemble reverse the
procedure above.
