Health and Safety
The use of any electrical appliance requires the application of the following common-
sense safety rules. Failure to observe these safety rules exposes the user to the risk of
personal injury or the product itself to the risk of damage. These two categories are
denoted by the following conventions:

IMPORTANT: Damage to the appliance!
Please therefore note the following safety advice.
WARNING: Fire Risk – Most people are aware of the risks of Electrical Fires. Probably
we all know someone who has experienced an issue of this kind, be it major or minor.
The most common causes of these issues are Tumble Dryers, Washing Machines and
to a lesser degree Refrigerators. However, as a responsible Supplier we want to provide
you with the best advice to try and avoid a problem of this kind with any product you
buy from us, no matter how small the risk. Therefore, please take particular note of any
warnings in these Operating Instructions that are followed by “Risk of Fire”.
Location
• This appliance is intended for domestic use only. It should NOT be used for commercial
purposes. Such use may damage the product and will invalidate your warranty.
• Do not use the appliance outdoors, or near water.
Mains Cable
• The mains cable should reach from the socket to the blanket without straining the
connections.
• When routing the cable, take care to not create a trip hazard. Keep it away from areas
where people will be walking.
• If the supply cable or controller cable is damaged, DO NOT USE THE APPLIANCE.
The cable must be replaced by a suitably qualified person with a special cable assembly
available from the manufacturer or its service agent.

Personal Safety
• WARNING. To protect against fire, electric shock and personal injury, do not immerse
the cord, plug and / or the controller in water or any other liquid. Risk of fire.
• WARNING. This appliance contains no user-serviceable parts. All repairs must only
be carried out by a qualified engineer. Improper repairs may place the user at risk of
harm.
• WARNING. Do not use the appliance after a malfunction or if it has been dropped or
damaged in any way. Risk of Fire.
• WARNING. Do not use the appliance for any purpose other than its intended use.
• WARNING. Do not use the product with wet or moist hands.
• Only clean your Product after it has been disconnected from the Mains Supply and
allowed to fully cool down.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by
a person responsible for their safety.
• Children shall not carry out maintenance or cleaning of this appliance.
Children
• Never allow a child to operate this appliance.
• Children are less able to regulate their body heat than adults. Therefore, do not allow
young children to use this appliance.
Safety Considerations Specifically for this Product
• WARNING. DO NOT attempt under any circumstances to remove the Rating Plate
from this product. It contains important information and additionally, removing it
may damage the Heated Wrap and expose the user to a risk of electric shock.
• WARNING- ANIMALS & PETS. DO NOT under any circumstances allow your
animals or pets to lie on or play with this Heated Wrap. Cats in particular can pierce
the outer covering and the insulation on the element wire with potentially fatal results
for them and irreparable damage to the Heated Wrap.
• WARNING. DO NOT use this Heated Wrap if it is damp or wet.
• WARNING. This appliance is not intended for medical use in hospitals.

• WARNING. This Product is intended to be used ONLY as a wrap or an over blanket.
DO NOT attempt to lie on it or use it as an under blanket in a bed.
• WARNING. If using on your bed use ONLY as the top cover. DO NOT cover with other
bed linen.
• WARNING. DO NOT tightly fold the Heated Wrap or place heavy items on it. This may
cause the heating wire to become sharply bent. This can result in permanent damage to
your appliance. Risk of Fire.
• WARNING. DO NOT SIT on any part of the
heating element or place heavy items on it. This
may cause the heating wire to become sharply
bent. This can result in localised overheating
and permanent damage to your appliance. Risk
of Fire. See the diagram to the right showing the
approximate position of the element within the
Heated Wrap:
• WARNING. DO NOT use in conjunction with
any other personal heating device.
• To disconnect, turn o at the wall socket before removing the plug from the mains outlet.
• Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Always hold and pull the
plug, never pull the cord.
• WARNING. DO NOT attempt to disconnect the Cord from the Heated Wrap when it
is operating.
• Allow the appliance to cool before cleaning.
• WARNING. DO NOT Dry Clean this appliance.
• Never leave the appliance unattended when operating.
• WARNING. Do not use this appliance in conjunction with an external timer or remote
control.
• IMPORTANT. Examine the Heated Wrap regularly to check for any signs of wear or
damage. Should anything be found, DO NOT use the appliance, contact your Service
Centre for advice.
• WARNING. This appliance must not be used by persons insensitive to heat or other
vulnerable persons who cannot react appropriately to overheating.
• WARNING. DO NOT insert sharp objects such as pins into the blanket. Risk of
electrocution.

• WARNING. DO NOT allow the Controller to come close to any hot objects such as
Electric Fires, Gas Heaters, Radiators etc. There is a risk of damage to the product.
• PROTECTION DEVICES: This Heated Product is fitted with two thermally operated
safety devices:
1. Controller Protection – DEVICE 1: The Controller has a self-resetting thermal
device that operates if the Controller is placed on or under the heated blanket. It resets
after around 1hr. once it is removed from the hot area.
2. Blanket Fault Protection – DEVICE 2: The second device protects against the risk of
the blanket overheating due to a fault. It is a Thermal Fuse and DOES NOT reset.
• WARNING – DEVICE 1. Take care not to operate the Heated Wrap with the
Controller placed on or under the heated area. This can cause the over-temperature
device within the Controller to operate which will render your product temporarily
unusable. Should this occur, the Controller will display a letter “C”. Disconnect the Mains
Plug and remove the Controller from the heated area/s and leave to cool for 1 hour. After
this time the Heated Wrap will function as normal.
• WARNING – DEVICE 2: This product is also fitted with a Thermal Fuse. If the
Heated Wrap overheats, then this fuse will operate, and the Heated Wrap will no
longer work. The fuse is not resettable. In the unlikely event that this happens contact
your Service Department for advice.
• WARNING. DO NOT wrap the controller in the Heated Wrap
when operating. This may cause overheating and malfunction.
• WARNING. DO NOT operate the Heated Wrap when it is folded
up as this will cause overheating and a malfunction to occur.
• IMPORTANT. This is a CLASS II Product and as such does not need to be EARTHED.
HEALTH ADVISORY
Temperature Sensitivity – Persons with poor awareness of temperature
should avoid using an Electric Blanket or a Heated Wrap for extended periods.
This includes but is not limited to persons suffering from Diabetes where some
sufferers can develop Diabetic Neuropathy leading to numbness and an inability
to sense when something is hot.
Pregnancy – Pregnant women should also exercise caution as there is some
evidence that the higher body temperatures associated with the use of Heated
Blankets, Throws or similar Heated Products for extended periods or at high
temperature levels can be harmful to the foetus.

Electrical Requirements
When using electrical appliances basic safety precautions should always be followed.
Check that the voltage indicated on the rating plate corresponds with that of your local
network before connecting the appliance to the mains power supply.
How to use your Heated Wrap
To begin using your Heated Wrap, first, carefully unpack it and check that it has not
sustained any damage during transportation. Also, check that all the items shown in the
PRODUCT OVERVIEW are present. We recommend that you retain your packaging so
that, in the unlikely event of a fault developing, you are able to return the product in the
correct packaging to ensure best protection.
Before first use
1. Remove all packaging material.
2. Remove any stickers or labels from the appliance. DO NOT remove the Product Rating Plate.
Preparing for use
1. This appliance is intended to be used primarily as a WRAP or OVER BLANKET and
therefore should always be placed on top of an individual, NOT under them or on the
top of a bed sheet. It is NOT to be used as an UNDER BLANKET.
2. Connect the Controller Socket Connector (6) on the end of the Controller Cord
(4) to the Heated Wrap (1), Blanket Plug Connector (5), see the diagram below:

3. When connecting the Controller Cable to the Heated Wrap the locking tab on the
Connectors will engage automatically. When you wish to disconnect the Controller
Cord from the blanket the locking tab on the Blanket Plug Connector must be lifted
so that they can be separated.
NOTE: If the Display indicates “P” then you have not correctly inserted the connector.
IMPORTANT. DO NOT attempt to disconnect the cord without lifting the locking tab.
WARNING- ANIMALS & PETS. DO NOT under any circumstances allow your
animals or pets to lie on or play with this Heated Wrap. Cats in particular can pierce the
outer covering and the insulation on the element wire with potentially fatal results for
them and irreparable damage to the Heated Wrap.

User Controls and Indicators Description
A. 7 Segment Display: This indicates your Heat
Settingandcan be adjustedfrom 1 –8 plus H(HIGH).
NOTE: The H (HIGH) setting only operates for
60 minutes. After this time the setting goes to the
lowest level 1. User adjustment is then required if you wish to change the heat level.

B. ON/OFF Switch: Press and hold for approximately three seconds to turn ON or
turn OFF the Heated Wrap.
C. Temperature Switch: Press sequentially to adjust the Heat Setting between 1, 2,
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 & H.
Operation
1. Connect the mains plug of the Mains Supply Cord (3) to a convenient wall socket
that doesn’t not place any tension on the cord. Switch on the Wall Socket. The Seven
Segment Display (A) will show “3” briefly and then go blank.
WARNING. Take care to avoid any trip hazards when routing the cable.
2. Press and hold the ON/OFF Switch (B) on the Controller (7) until the Display (A)
comes on (about 2-3 seconds). The Controller will “Beep” 3 times.
3. The Heated Wrap will turn on to the default setting “8” as shown in Fig 1.
4. If you wish you can warm up the blanket rapidly by pressing the Temp Switch (C)
once to change the Heat Setting to H (HIGH). This will provide 1 hour at the highest
heat level before automatically reducing down to level 1.
5. Alternatively, you can select any of the intermediate Heat Settings by sequentially
pressing the Temp Switch until you reach your desired Heat Setting.
NOTE: The operating time of the Heated Wrap is pre-set at 3 hours and cannot be
changed. It will switch o automatically after this time. However, after it switches o you
can switch it on again for a further 3 hours operation. Proceed as described in 2-5 above.
WARNING: DO NOT fall asleep with the Heated Wrap on a High Setting as you
may become too warm.
6. When you have finished using the Heated Wrap press and hold the ON/OFF Switch
for around 2-3 seconds to turn off the blanket. Then switch off at the wall socket and
unplug the Heated Wrap by grasping and pulling the plug. Do not pull on the cord.
7. Loosely fold your Heated Wrap and store in a dry location out of the reach of children.
Cleaning and Storage
Cleaning & Washing
We recommend that the Heated Wrap is cleaned as necessary by following the
instructions below:

1. Disconnect the appliance from the Mains Supply and allow to cool down completely.
2. Disconnect the Controller from the blanket
WARNING: DO NOT immerse the Controller, Cord, Mains Lead or Plug in water
or any other liquid.
3. Wipe the surface of the Controller and Cord with a slightly moistened cloth. Rub dry
with a soft dry cloth.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT use industrial solvents such as benzene, iso-propanol,
similar solvents or abrasive chemicals as these may irreparably damage the appliance.
4. Machine washing of the Heated Wrap is possible. To machine wash, unplug the
Controller, place the blanket in a net bag and seal it. Use a small amount of detergent
and set the washing machine to a “Delicate Wash” with a maximum temperature of
40°C. When washed, remove the blanket from the net bag and drape it over a clothes
line to dry.
WARNING: DO NOT use clothes pegs to secure it.
WARNING: DO NOT wring out the blanket or dry using a tumble dryer.
WARNING: DO NOT iron the blanket
WARNING: DO NOT dry the blanket in the sun.
WARNING: DO NOT connect it to the mains supply to dry it
WARNING: DO NOT use an appliance such as a hair dryer to dry it.
Allow the blanket to dry naturally.
WARNING: DO NOT use the blanket if it is damp or wet.
Storage
Once the appliance has been thoroughly cleaned and dried it can be stored in a cool, dry
location out of the reach of children.
1. Make sure the blanket is dry before folding and packing it away.
2. DO NOT use mothproofing agents on the blanket.
3. DO NOT crease the blanket by placing heavy items on top of it during storage.
To ensure it is dust free and ready for use the next time you need it we recommend you
keep it in its original packaging

Troubleshooting
In the unlikely event that you experience a problem with your Heated Wrap please take a
couple of minutes to check these possible causes before you contact the Help Line.
The Heated Wrap shows
“P” in the Display.
The Controller is not
properly connected to the
Heated Wrap.
Check the Plug and Socket
ensuring the Locking Tab
is fully engaged.
