For the ultimate digital gaming experience, you can
connect the front and rear SPDIF output to two sep-
arate sets of DAC and amplifier / speaker systems.
Watching Software DVD
Movies SPDIF Out 1 Connect to the SPDIF input of an external Dolby
Digital (AC-3) decoder / amplifier such as the
DeskTop Theater speaker system.
Recording and Content
Creation SPDIF Out 1 Connect to the RCA or optical input of an external
device such as a DAT or MiniDisc recorder.
Note: If your external device has optical SPDIF inputs, using them enables distortion-free transmission, giving you clearer
and purer digital audio output.
