The ‘Cool Tumble’
phase
A short programme of around 30 minutes is provided to dry small loads
of less than 1kg.
To select this programme, turn the knob clockwise until 30 min
appears in line with the indicator. About 10 minutes before the pro-
gramme is completed, the heating elements are switched off and the
programme enters the final ‘Cool Tumble’ phase.
This is a short programme of approximately 10 minutes to condition
previously dried clothes. See section ‘Speedy Iron Programme’.
It consists of a period of heating followed by a short cool tumble
period (as detailed below).
Select High heat for this programme.
It should not be used on damp loads, as it is NOT a drying
programme.
Press the Start button and the indicator light turns Green to show that
the programme is active. The light goes out when the selector is
returned to position ‘0’, or if the door is opened during the
programme’s duration.
CAUTION:
If the door is opened during the cycle, the dryer stops automatically.
When the door is closed the Start button must be pressed to restart the
programme. The light flashes green to remind you to press the Start
button. The cycle resumes from the point it stopped, if the position of
the knob has not been changed. Otherwise, the dryer starts the new
selection.
The indicator light turns Orange during a drying programme when the
water container is full. When this happens, you must empty the water
container. You should not wait for this light to change colour before
emptying the container, but empty it after each load (see section
‘Emptying the Water Container’).
The programme goes directly to the cool tumble phase and the dryer
stops. The Orange light warns you that the load will not be dried
correctly.
At the end of a drying programme if the container has filled the
indicator light will glow Red. Empty the water container and start the
programme again by pressing the Start button.
The indicator light goes off (or turns Green if a programme is running)
about 10 seconds after the water container has been put back.
About 10 minutes before the programme is completed, the heating
elements will be switched off, the programme enters the final ‘Cool
Tumble’ phase. During this period, the fabric is cooled. You should
always allow the dryer to complete this phase. By opening the door,
you can check the dryness of the load as often as you wish and if you
want to, remove some items before they are fully dry. (This is
particularly useful for a mixed load when you want to iron some items,
but others to be fully dried). You will need to press the Start button
after closing the door to re-start the programme.
THE START BUTTON MUST BE PRESSED TO START ALL
PROGRAMMES INCLUDING A DELAYED START (DRY LATER)
