EZ-30DPModelisan add-on/expansion unit, withoutremotesoran antenna thatmustbecontrolledbyanexisting
alarm orkeyless entrysystem.The “InfinityRun”featureisnotavailableon an EZ-30DPsystem.Mostofthe
remotestartfeaturescan be controlled through an existing factoryoraftermarketremotekeyless entryoralarm
system.Pressing an auxiliarybutton on an Aftermarketsystemorpressing abutton 3timeson aFactorykeyless
remotecan activatearemotestartusing the EZ-30DP.Thisisreferred tointhismanualasactivating the “Green
Startinputwire”.

5)Engine will remainrunning forprogrammed run timeuntil resetwithBrakepedal.If needed,the engine can be

Inthe eventthatthe engine doesnotstarton the firstattempt, the systemshutsdownforafewseconds,then
attemptstorestartthe engine a2nd and 3rdtime.Forhardstartingengines,theunitwillallowastartercranktimeof
upto13secondsmaximum.Thisshouldprovideamplecranking timefordifficultstarts,butislimitedto13seconds
tohelppreventdamage tothe starterfromovercranking.
1)If engine startson 2nd or3rdattempt, see steps4&5aboveof"SuccessfulStart".
2)If Thirdattemptfailstostartengine,the systemwill turnoff and doorswill remainlocked.NOFURTHER

2)Entervehicleand be carefulnottostep on brakepedal!(RemoteStartReset)
3)TurnIgnition toON/RUN position,then press brakepedaltoresetthe RemoteStarter&Shift outofpark.
4)Remotestarterwill resetinstantlywhen the brakeispressed.Parking lightswill turnoff and the ignition keyis
nowcontrolling yourvehicle.

You can nowresetthe engine-run timertoallowformorerunning timeafterremotestarthasalreadyoccurred
using the remotecontrol.Afterasuccessfulremotestart, press boththe Lock &Unlock buttonstogetherforat
least2seconds.The parking lightswill flash3timesand internalengine timerwill resetback tozerominutes.
IDLEDOWNMODE:
Thismodeallowstheunittotakeoveroperation ofthe parked vehiclewhiletheignitionkeyisremovedandyouexit
the vehicle.The vehicleisputintoaremoterunning condition beforeyou exitand itwill remainrunning forthe
programmed run timeoruntil you comeback.
Examples:
•You pull up toaconveniencestoreforaquick stop,"IdleDown"mode keepsengine running when you exitthe
vehicle,(withkeysinhand)remotelockdoorsorarmalarm.Whenyoureturn,unlock,turnignitionONanddrive
away.

INFINITYRUN MODE(NOTAVAILABLEONEZ-30DPII MODEL)
Thismode can onlybe activated when "IdleDown"procedure.The InfinityRun mode allowsthe vehicleengine to
remainrunning INDEFINITELYafterthe programmed run timeelapses.Thismode will allowthe vehicletobe left
running and unattended withoutthe ignition keyinthe switchpreventing the vehiclefrombeing stolen.Thismode
canbebeneficialtolawenforcementorcommercialtrucks thatneed toremainrunning unattended forlong periods
oftime.See nextpage forInfinitymode steps.
INFINITYRUN MODE–EXITINGTHEVEHICLE:
1)Withvehicleengine running withthe key,press the RemoteStartbutton foratleast1second,pauseafew
seconds,then press and releasethe remotestartbutton asecond time.
2)Parking Lightswill startflashing,and doorswill unlock.
3)TurnIgnition switchOFF,removekeyand exitthe vehicle.Engine shouldremainrunning.
4)Thevehicle’sparkinglightswillflashforthe programmed run timeof12,24,or36,or48 minutesandthenswitch
tosolidwhilemotorrunsindefinitelyoruntil fuelsupplyrunsout.
SELECTABLEHOURLYCOLD-STARTMODE(1-4HOURS)
Thismode allowsthe vehicletobe programmed toself-startevery1,2,3or4hoursand run forthe programmed
run time.Thiscan be helpfulduring extremelycoldconditionswhereengine fluidfreeze-up isaconcern.THE
VEHICLEMUSTBEOUTDOORSORINAWELL VENTILATEDAREA!Oncethismode isset, the unitwillstart
attheprogrammedhourlyintervalandrunfortheprogrammedruntime.Toresetthismode,eitherstartthevehicle
withthe keyorthe remotecontrol.

1)Engine shouldbe running withthe Key.Press the RemoteStartbutton foratleast1second.(ForEZ-30DPII
model,activateGreenstartinputwire.)Lightswill turnon signaling the remotestarthasturned on and doorswill
unlock.
2)Within10 secondspress and releasethe valet/programbutton onceforeachhourlyincrement(1time=1hour,
2X=2hours,3X=every3hours,4X=every4hours).
3)Parking Lightswill turnwhen the button ispressed and flashforeachconsecutivebutton press.
4)TurnIgnition switchOFF,removekeyand exitthe vehicle.Engine shouldremainrunning.
5)Onceoutside the vehicle,press and releasethe remotestartbutton toturnoff engine.(ForEZ-30DPII model,
activateGreen Startinputwire.)Theparking lightswillflashthenumberoftimesindicatingthehourlyincrement
forconfirmation.
6)The vehiclewill startbyitselfatthe selected hourlyincrementuntil driven withkeyorstarted viathe remote
control.

TheoptionalTurboTimermodeallowstheEZStartsystemtokeepaTurbo orTurbo Dieselvehiclerunning for1to
5minutes[selectively]afteryou removethe key,exitthe vehicle,and lock the doorsremotely.Thisishandyfor
turbo cool-downwithoutthe need forexpensiveturbo timers.Thismode requiresthe useofan extrapartcalled a
momentaryswitch/button thatisnotincluded withthe kit. Check withyourinstalleraboutadding thisfeature.
NOTE:The turbo timerbutton will alsotriggeraremotestartifitisinadvertentlypressed when the vehicleisnot
running.Pleasenotethiswhen installing the button and choosealocation outofharm’sway.
1)Engine shouldbe running withthe key.
2)Press and holddownthe brakepedal.
3)Press your“Turbo Timer” button 1to5timesforeachminuteofrun timeyou desire.(1press =1min.)
4)Asyou releasethe brakepedaland yoursystemwillconfirm byflashing the lightsthe samenumberoftimesthe

KEYLESS ENTRY(POWERDOORLOCK CONTROL,Optional)
Thissystemenablesyou toremotelylock and unlock the vehicle’sdoors(ifequipped withpowerlocks)viaremotecontrol
forsafetyand convenience.Note:Thisfeaturemayrequireextralaborand/orpartstoinstall.Press the Lock orUnlock
transmitterbutton asyou leaveorcomenearthe vehicle.Parking lightswill flashonceforlock and twiceforunlock.If
vehicleisrunning bythe remotestartsystem,the lightswill flash,butreturnback tosolid.
AUTOLOCK/UNLOCK (Improved)
The AutoLock featurecontrolswhetherthe doorswill automaticallylock/unlock on yourvehiclewhendrivingorwithturning
the Ignition ON/OFF.If the AutoLock featureisturned on,and yoursystemisin“Tach”mode,then the doorsshould
automaticallylock asthe engine RPM’sincrease(driving).If the AutoLock featureisturned on,and yoursystemisin
“SmartTachless”mode,then the doorswill lock afewsecondsafterthe Ignition isturnedon.WhentheAutoLockfeatureis
turned on,the systemwill always unlock the doorswhenthe Ignition isturned off. Withthisfeatureturned OFF,thesystem
will notautomaticallylock orunlock the vehicle.See yourinstallerforprogramming information on thisfeature.
DOORLOCK NOTE:If yoursystemhasbeen setup withan optionalstarterkill relay,butyoudonothavepowerdoorlocks,
notethe following:The lock and unlock buttonson the remotecontrolmuststill be utilized tooperatethe Starterdisable.

Forpersonalsafetythisunitnowincludesapanicfeature.Tosound the vehiclecarhorn,press the Lock Button on the
remoteformorethan2seconds.The vehiclehornwill honkalong withflashing parking lampsfor1minute.ResetRemote
Panicbypressing eitherthe lock orunlock button.See nextsection forHornHonkinformation.
HORN CHIRP/HONK OUTPUT(Optional)DOES NOTSAPPLYTOEZ-30DP/31DPII
Thisfeature,ifinstalled,will provide audibleconfirmation chirpsfromthe factoryhornforlock and unlock.Whenusing this
feature,pressing the Lock orUnlock button a2nd timewithin3secondsoronce(programmableoption)will provide ahorn
chirpforaudibleconfirmation.The systemcan alsobe programmed toprovide 3chirpswhen aremotestartisrequested
using the remote.Note:Hornhonk/chirpfeaturemayrequireextralaborand/orpartstoinstall.
REMOTETRUNK RELEASE ORDOMELIGHT(Optional)DOES NOTSAPPLYTOEZ-30DP/31DP/33DPII
ThisEZStartsystemincludesanoutputthatcan be programmed toremotelyreleaseafactoryelectronictrunkorilluminate
the interiorlightwhen you unlock yourvehicleforlighted entryatnight. If youhavethe optionaltrunkpop installed,simply
press and releasethe TrunkButton #3 onthe transmitterorifoption#6isturned on youmustpress Button#3twicewithin
3seconds,toremotelyopentrunk.If yoursystemisprogrammed forDomeLightillumination,thenitwillworkautomatically
lighting the domelightfor30 secondswhen you unlock yourvehicleviathe remote.The domelightwill turnoff after30
seconds,orturning the keyon (whichevercomesfirst).The trunkPop orDomeLightIllumination mayrequireextralabor
and/orpartstoinstall.

VALETMODE/STARTERDISABLEOVERRIDE
Beforeservicing yourvehicleorhanding the keys overtoaValetwerecommend putting the unitintovaletmode.
The remotestartfunction WILL NOToperatewhen inValetmode.ToenterValetmode,turnthe keytothe ON
position,pressandholdProgram/Valetswitchfor5-6seconds.TheLEDwillturnonsolidandthesystemisnowin
valet. Perform thisprocedureagaintoexitofValetmode.Thekeylessentrywillstillfunctionnormallywhileinvalet
mode.Inthe eventofalostorbroken transmitter,perform thisstep tooverride the StarterDisable(ifinstalled).
ANTI-GRIND /STARTERDISABLE(Optional, relay notincluded)
ThisOptionalfeaturepreventsthe userfromaccidentallygrinding the starterifthe Ignition keyisturned too farto
the startposition whileengine isalreadyrunning fromthe remotestarter.The Anti-Grind/StarterDisablerequires
the useofan externalrelay.Thissystemmustbe programmed toallowthe relaytoworkasastarterdisable.
HOODOPENSAFETY(Requires grounding hood pininstallation)
Preventsthe engine being RemoteStarted when hood isopen and will shutOFF the engine ifopened during a
remotestart. Eliminatesrisk ofinjurytosomeone working underthe hood ofthe vehiclewithaproperlyworking
hood pininstalled.If RemoteStartbutton ispressed withthe hood open,the lightswill flashonceand the unitwill
notattemptastart.
BRAKEPEDALRESET
Preventsstartingorshutsoffaremotestartedvehiclewhenthiscircuitisactiveoractivated.Preventsunauthorized
tampering.Thiscircuitshutsthe systemdownimmediatelywhen brakepedalispressedifthe keyisnotinignition
and turned tothe ONposition.
OEMALARMINTERFACE
Thisfeatureisdesigned toDisarmand Re-armFactoryequipped securitysystemsinconjunctionwithremotestartandkeylessentry
(ifneeded foryourvehicle).Thisfeaturewill maintainthe originalintegrityand securityofyourvehicle’sfactoryequipped systems
before,during,orafterremotestart.
NOTE:When changing,charging,orjumpstarting the vehicle’sbatterywerecommend removing the mainpower
fuseslocated on the heavy gauge REDwiresnearthe remotestartmodule.\

UNITWILL NOTATTEMPTASTART(KEYLESS ENTRYSTILL FUNCTIONSNORMALLY):
The unitisinValetmode.TurnIgnition ON,press and holdvalet/programming button for6secondsthen turnkey
off. Unitisnowoutofvaletmode and shouldperform aremotestart. If optionalLEDindicatorisinstalled,then it
will be on solidwhen inValetand OFF when outofValet.
UNITFLASHES LIGHTSONCEAND WILL NOTATTEMPTASTART:
The unitsensesafaultatthe Brake(Purplewireisactive)orthe Hood isOPEN(Graywiregrounded).Thisisa
safetyfeatureofthe unit. Check installation forfaultsand makesurehood isclosed and latched and brakewireis
notactive.Makesurehood isingood condition and isdepressed when hood isclosed.
NORESPONSE FROMREMOTETRANSMITTERS:(4Parts)
1.Check forproperpower/ground wiring connectionsatmodule.
2.Check Antenna Moduleconnection.The antenna moduleincluded withthissystemmustbe plugged in.
3.Transmittersmayneed tobe programmed tothe unit. See transmitterprogramming stepson Page 10.
4.Check transmitterBatteriesand replaceifnecessary.

1.Inextremecoldorsevereweatherconditions,the unitmaytakemorethan the firstattempttostartthe vehicle.
The remotestartunitwill makeup to3attemptstostartthe engine.
2.Insomevehicles,theremaybe aFactoryanti-theft systemthatwillnotallowthe engine torun withoutthekeyin
the ignition.Thesesystemsmayinclude FactorySecurityModules,GMPasskey®/Passlock®,and RF
Transpondersystems(FordP.A.T.S.®).Manylate1990’sthrough2005vehiclesincludesometypeofAnti-Theft

1.Many1995-UPGeneralMotorscars/trucks requireasecondaryignition circuitforthe Transmission computer
andotheronboardsystems.Ifthevehicleisstartedwithoutthiswireenergized,theremaybea“Check Engine”
or“ServiceEngine Soon”lighton the dash.Thismaycausedamage ifthe vehicleisdriven inthiscondition.
Check withinstallertosee ifthiscircuitispresentand hasbeen properlyconnected tothe system.
2.Insomecases[commonlyNissan vehicles], an additional“Start”(Cranking)circuitisrequired forthe vehicleto
run properly.The EZ-30 SERIES II systemincludesawirethatcan be used forthisStarter#2 circuit. Check
withyourinstallerfordetails.
BATTERYREPLACEMENT
To replace thebattery:Simplyremovethe screwson back ofthe transmitterand open the case.Removethe
batteryand replace.The replacementbatteryforall transmittersisGP23A.
