Electric Cool Box
Introduction
Many congratulations on the purchase of your new
appliance. You have chosen a high quality appliance.
The operating instructions are to be considered as
part of this appliance. They contain important infor-
mation concerning safety, use and disposal. Before
using the appliance, please familiarise yourself with
all the safety information and instructions for use.
Only use the appliance in the way described and
for the stated purpose. If you pass the appliance on
to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on
all the documentation.
Proper use
The electric coolbox is to be used solely for cooling
pre-cooled food and drinks. The appliance is in-
tended for private domestic or camping use, or for
use in the car and in other similar applications such
as for example: in staff kitchen areas in shops, offices
and other places of work, in agriculture and by guests
in hotels, motels and other types of accommodation,
in bed and breakfast guest houses, as well as in any
other similar areas. The appliance is not intended
for commercial use.

Only allow qualified personnel

of the appliance are not covered

during operation, can be dissi-
pated adequately. Ensure that
the appliance is situated at an
adequate distance from walls
or objects, so that the air can
circulate freely.
Protect the appliance and the
connection cable from heat, rain
and moisture, as well as from
other sources of damage. Dam-
aged appliances represent a
danger of death from electric
shock!
Do not fill any liquids or place
any ice directly into the inside of
the appliance. If you do, this
could result in damage to the
product.
Do not store explosive materials,
such as aerosol cans with flam-
mable propellant, in this device.
Never immerse the appliance in
water. If you do, this could result
in damage to the electrics.
When travelling by car, do not
transport the appliance in the
passenger compartment.
When operating with 12V, al-
ways ensure that the 12V plug
is located firmly and safely in
the connection socket of the cig-
arette lighter and that the con-
nection socket is free of dirt. If
the contact between plug and
socket is inadequate, vibration
from the car can cause the
power supply to switch on and
off in short bursts. This can result
in overheating.
The manufacturer has no liability
for damages which are caused
by improper use or incorrect
operation.

FOOD SAFE! This
product has no adverse
effect on taste or smell.
General information on use
The coolbox is not suitable for continuous oper-
ation. Ice can form on the aluminium cooling
plate. We recommend that the coolbox is
switched off after it has been in operation for
6 days. The coolbox can be put back into op-
eration after 2 hours.
Dry the surfaces of your coolbox contents so
that a build-up of condensation is avoided.
If the coolbox is not being used, keep the
connection cables in the storage compartment
provided in the lid of the coolbox.
When operating with a 12V power source, be
careful not to switch the car engine on and off
frequently, so that the power supply to the cool-
box is not interrupted constantly. Also be aware
that the car battery can be run down too far, if
the engine is switched off.
The two convex indentations 4in the inside of
the lid can be used to store standard bottles
with a standing height of max. 42cm.
In order to prevent freezing of the coolbox
contents when operating with 12V, the coolbox
should not be operated below 18°C outside
temperature.
Operation
Due to the materials used, the inside of the cool box
may emit an odour typical for the product prior to
first use. This odour is harmless, but for reasons of
hygiene we do recommend wiping the inside and
outside of the cool box with a damp cloth (also see
chapter „Cleaning and Care“) prior to first use. Fur-
ther, do not store unpackaged foods in it.
Place the coolbox on a firm and level surface.
The connection cables are fixed to the coolbox
and can be found in the cable compartment 1
in the rear of the lid.
Depending on the choice of power source
required, connect either the 12V or the 230 V
connection cable to the socket of the power
source selected. The coolbox starts to work im-
mediately.
-In 12V operation = the cool box starts working
immediately.
-In 230V operation = switch on the cool box
using the cooling efficiency switch 3at the
front.
Note: the lid can be locked in the opened position
by means of the handle and hook on the inside of
the lid (see fig. A1).
Function with 230V operation
in “eco mode”
When operating with a 230V power supply, the
cooling output can be controlled by means of the
cooling output switch 3on the front of the lid (see
fig. B).
The coolbox operates in normal operation (cooling
output switch 3in the ‘eco’ position - small dot on
the rotary button facing in the direction of ‘eco’ -
see fig. B) with a very high level of energy saving
and achieves an inside temperature of approx. 14°
to 17°C at an outside temperature of approx. 25°C.
This corresponds to a Delta T (Delta T = difference
between outside temperature and inside tempera-
ture) of approx. 8 - 11°C. The energy consumption
corresponds with this to the A+++ energy class.
Since the inside temperature of a coolbox is influ-
enced by the particular ambient temperature, the
Delta T output in ‘eco mode’ is always 8 - 11°C at
other outside temperatures. You can control the
inside temperature by turning the cooling output
switch 3:
Turn the cooling output switch 3clockwise in
the direction of “MAX”. This gives you a lower
(colder) inside temperature value.

Turn the cooling output switch 3anti-clock-
wise in the direction of “OFF”. This gives you a
higher (warmer) inside temperature value.
Turn the cooling output switch 3to the “OFF”
position. This turns the coolbox off.
Note: If you want to reach a Delta T (Delta T =
difference between outside temperature and inside
temperature) of up to 18°C and thereby a lower
inside temperature than is possible in the “eco” nor-
mal operation, turn the cooling output switch 3to
the “MAX” position. Please note that in this case
more energy will be consumed than in normal
operation.
After the operation with 230V function has been
completed, disconnect the mains plug from the
socket.
Function with 12V operation
CAUTION! The temperature controller on the
front of the lid is only suited to 230V operation
and it does not function in 12V operation.
When operating with a 12V power supply, the
cooling unit always produces a temperature
difference from the ambient temperature of up
to 18°C. The cooling output can not be con-
trolled by means of the temperature controller
on the front of the lid.
Tips for the best cooling output
and energy saving
Select a well ventilated location protected from
sunshine.
Only place pre-cooled contents into the cool-
box.
Do not open the coolbox longer than necessary.
Don’t leave the lid open longer than necessary.
Ensure that the coolbox is not packed too
full and that the air can circulate adequately
between the coolbox contents.
In order that a high level of energy saving can
be achieved, normal operation (cooling output
switch 3in the “eco” position) is recom-
mended for longer periods of use in 230V
operation.
Exchanging the 12V fuse
See also fig. C.
To replace the 12V fuse 10 , unscrew the red
adjustment sleeve 7from the plug, turning
counter-clockwise.
Unscrew the screw 5with a suitable Phillips
screwdriver from the top half of the housing 6.
Lift the top half 6of the housing from the bot-
tom half 9.
Lift the contact pin 11 carefully out of the hous-
ing section. The fuse 10 can now be removed.
Note: If the thin metal connection in the mid-
dle between the two metal caps is broken, then
the fuse 10 is defective and must be replaced.
Press the contact spring 8backwards and
insert the new fuse 10 carefully into the groove
provided for it. Now place the rear edge of the
contact pin 11 on the front metal cap of the fuse
10 . By releasing the contact spring 8, the fuse
10 and contact pin 11 are located in the groove.
Screw the top and bottom halves of the housing
69together again, reattach the red adapter
sleeve 7and turn clockwise to tighten. The plug
is now ready for operation.
Troubleshooting
In the event of a malfunction, first verify you cor-
rectly followed the instructions for using the cool
box. Also check:
– Is the connection cable correctly connected
and does your car cigarette lighter/domestic
socket function properly?
– Have you set up the coolbox in such a way
that the air can circulate freely and that venting
of the cooling unit can occur?
– Is the fuse in the plug of the 12V connection
cable OK?
– Check the position of the cooling output
switch 3on the front of the lid.

If you can not rectify the malfunction on your own,
please contact our Customer Service (see chapter
on “Service”).
Cleaning and care
Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents. If you
do, there is a risk of damage to the product.
Before any cleaning, pull the plug of the connec-
tion cable out of the socket or of the cigarette
lighter. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
Never clean the coolbox under running water.
If you do, this could result in damage to the
electrics.
Before cleaning, remove the electrical lid by
pulling it into an upright position (90°) and
then pressing it through the right rear recess.
Use a dry cloth for cleaning the electrical lid
(see fig. A2).
Use a damp cloth and a mild soap solution for
cleaning the bottom section of the coolbox.
Use clean water to rinse off those parts cleaned
with soapy water.
Insert the lid once again by fixing it into the
projection provided on the rear left side of the
appliance and then press the right side in an
upright position (90°) into the recess of the
lower part once again.
Disposal
The packaging is made of environmen-
tally friendly materials, which may be
disposed through your local recycling
facilities.
Information on collection points and their opening
hours can be obtained from your local authority.
Do not dispose of electrical
equipment in the household
waste!
In accordance with European Directive
2012/19/EU relating to old electrical and
electronic appliances and its translation into na-
tional law, used electrical equipment must be col-
lected separately and recycled in an ecologically
compatible way.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for
more details of how to dispose of your worn out
electrical appliances.
Warranty
Dear customer,
The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from
the date of purchase. Where there are defects in
this appliance, you have statutory rights available
against the seller of the appliance. Your statutory
rights are not restricted in any way by our warranty
as detailed below.
Warranty conditions:
The warranty period begins on the date of pur-
chase. Please retain the original receipt safely. This
receipt is required as proof of purchase.
Should this appliance show any fault in materials
or manufacture within 3 years from date of purchase,
it will be repaired or replaced - at our choice - by
us free of charge. This warranty is conditional on
the defective appliance and the receipt of purchase
being presented within the 3 year warranty period,
and that there is a brief written description of the
nature of the defect and of the date it arose.
If the defect is covered by our warranty, you will
receive the repaired appliance back or a new
appliance. A new warranty period does not com-
mence with the repair or with the exchange of the
appliance.
Warranty period and statutory
claims for defects
The warranty period will not be extended by
repairs or exchange made under warranty. This
applies also to replaced and repaired parts. Any

damage or defects present at the time of purchase
must be reported immediately after unpacking the
appliance. Repairs made after the expiration of the
warranty period are subject to payment.
Scope of warranty
The appliance has been manufactured to strict
quality guidelines and meticulously examined
before delivery.
The warranty applies to faults in material or manu-
facture. This warranty does not extend to product
parts which are exposed to normal wear and tear
and which can therefore be considered as wearing
parts, or to damage to breakable parts, such as
switches and knobs.
This warranty lapses if the appliance has been
damaged, or if it was used or maintained improp-
erly. All the directions given in the operating instruc-
tions must be followed exactly for there to be proper
use of the appliance. Intended uses and practices,
against which there are warnings in the operating
instructions or which are discouraged in these same
instructions, must be avoided without fail.
This appliance is for private use only and is not in-
tended for commercial use. The warranty is void in
the case of inappropriate and improper handling,
use of force and of any intervention which was not
carried out by our authorized service branch.

warranty
In order to ensure quick processing of your request,
please follow the instructions below:
– Please have your receipt and the product num-
ber (e.g. IAN 12345) available for all queries
as proof of purchase.
– Please take the product number from the type
plate or from the title page of your operating
instructions.
– Should functional faults or other defects arise,
please contact first by phone or e-mail the ser-
vice department (hotline) named below. Prod-
ucts returns, which have not been notified in
advance, can not be processed.
– You can then send an appliance, which has
first been registered as defective, postage free
to the service address given to you by the ser-
vice hotline, enclosing the purchase receipt
and written details of the fault and the date it
occurred. In the case of a complaint only send
the electrical lid of the coolbox to our service
address.

Opbevar i dette apparat ikke
eksplosionsartige stoffer, som
f.eks. aerosolbeholder med
brændbart drivgas.

vand. Det kan resultere i skader
på det elektriske system.
Transportér apparatet ikke i
passagerrummet under bilturen.
Sørg ved driften med 12V altid
for, at 12V-stikket sidder fast og
sikkert i cigarettænderens bøs-
ning og at bøsningen er fri for
snavs. I tilfælde af utilstrækkelig
kontakt mellem stikket og ciga-
rettænderstikket kan bilens vibra-
tioner til- og frakoble
strømtilførslen med korte interval-
ler. Det kan resultere i overop-
hedning.
Producenten hæfter ikke for
skader, som forårsages gennem
ikke formålsbestemt brug eller
forkert betjening.

Generelle anvisninger til brug
Køleboksen er ikke egnet til permanent drift.
Der kan dannes islag i aluminiumskøleren. Vi
anbefaler, at der slukkes for køleboksen efter
en driftstid på 6 dage. Efter 2 timer kan køle-
boksen tages i brug igen.
Tør overfladerne af på de genstande, der skal
køles (køleemnerne). Derved undgås dannelse
af kondensvand.

Når køleboksen ikke er i brug, skal tilslutnings-
kablet opbevares i det dertil beregnede rum i
låget.
Ved hyppig til- og frakobling af bilmotoren ved
drift med en 12 V-strømkilde skal der sørges
for, at strømforsyningen til køleboksen ikke af-
brydes hele tiden. Vær endvidere opmærksom
på, at bilens batteri kan aflades for meget, når
motoren står stille.
De to udbugtninger 4på lågets inderside kan
anvendes til anbringelse af almindelige flasker
med en oprejst højde på maks. 42cm.
For at forhindre, at de afkølede genstande fry-
ser til ved 12V-drift, bør køleboksen ikke an-
vendes ved temperaturer under 18°C.
Betjening
På grund af de anvendte materialer, kan der opstå
en typisk lugt fra køleboksens inderside ved den
første anvendelse. Denne lugt er uskadelig, men vi
anbefaler dog af hygiejniske årsager, at køleboksen
vaskes af med en fugtig klud både indvendig og
udvendig, inden den tages i brug første gang. Op-
bevar ikke uemballerede fødevarer i køleboksen.
Anbring køleboksen på et fast og plant under-
lag. Tilslutningskablerne er fast forbundet med
køleboksen og sidder i ledningsrummet 1på
bagsiden af låget.
Når den ønskede strømkilde er valgt, skal 12V-
eller 230-tilslutningskablet forbindes med stik-
ket til den valgte strømkilde. Køleboksen
begynder at køle med det samme.
-Ved 12 V drift = køleboksen begynder at køle
med det samme.
-Ved 230 V drift = tænd for køleboksen på kø-
leeffektkontakten 3på forsiden.
Bemærk: Låget kan låses med håndtaget og
krogen på indersiden af låget, når det er åbent
(se fig. A1).
Funktion ved 230V-drift i
„eco-modus“
Ved drift over 230V kan køleeffekten påvirkes med
køleeffektkontakten 3på forsiden af låget (se fig. B).
Køleboksen køler i normaldrift (køleeffektkontakten
på stillingen ”eco” (det lille punkt på drejeknappen
peger i retning af ”eco”) - (se fig. B) med maksi-
mum-energibesparelse og når ved en udetempera-
tur på ca. 25°C en temperatur på ca. 14 til 17°C
i det indvendige rum. Det svarer til en Delta T
(Delta T = forskellen på udetemperaturen og inde-
temperaturen) på ca. 8 – 11°C. Energiforbruget
svarer til energiklasse A+++.
Da elektrokøleboksens indvendige temperatur på-
virkes af omgivelsestemperaturen, er Delta T-effek-
ten i ”eco-modus” altid 8 – 11°C selv ved anden
udetemperatur. Du kan påvirke den indvendige
temperatur ved at dreje på køleeffektkontakten:
Drej køleeffektkontakten i urets retning i retnin-
gen „MAX“. Så får du en lavere (koldere) tem-
peraturværdi i det indvendige rum.
Drej køleeffektkontakten mod urets retning i ret-
ningen „OFF“. Så får du en højere (varmere)
temperaturværdi i det indvendige rum.
Drej køleeffektkontakten til stillingen „OFF“. Så
slukker du for køleboksen.
Bemærk: Hvis du ønsker køleeffekten med en
Delta T (Delta T = udetemperaturen minus indetem-
peraturen) på op til 18°C og dermed en lavere
temperatur i det indvendige rum end den, som er
mulig i normaldriften ”eco”, skal du stille køleeffekt-
kontakten på stillingen „MAX“. Bemærk dog, at du
i dette tilfælde bruger mere energi end ved normal-
drift.
Når du har afsluttet 230V-funktionen, skal du tage
kontakten ud af stikkontakten
Funktion ved 12V-drift
ADVARSEL! Termostaten på lågets forside er
kun egnet til 230V-drift og fungerer ikke ved
12V-drift.

Ved drift over 12 volt giver køleaggregatet al-
tid en temperaturdifference på op til 18°C i
forhold til omgivelsestemperaturen. Køleeffek-
ten kan ikke påvirkes med termostaten på forsi-
den af låget.
Gode råd til optimal køleeffekt
og energibesparelse
Vælg et godt ventileret anvendelsessted, der er
beskyttet mod solstråler.
Læg udelukkende køleemner, der er afkølet i
forvejen, i køleboksen.
Åbn ikke køleboksen i længere tid end nødven-
digt.
Lad ikke låget stå åbent i længere tid end nød-
vendigt.
Sørg for, at køleboksen ikke er overfyldt, og at
luften kan cirkulere tilstrækkeligt mellem køle-
emnerne.
For at opnå den maksimale energibesparelse an-
befales det at bruge normaldriften ved længere
tids brug på 230V-drift (køleeffektkontakt 3på
stillingen „Eco“).
Udskiftning af 12V-sikring
Se desuden fig. C.
Når 12V-sikringen 10 skal skiftes, drejes den
røde udligningsmuffe 7af stikket ved at dreje
den imod urets retning.
Skru skruen 5ud af husets øverste halvdel 6
med en passende stjerneskruetrækker.
Løft husets øverste halvdel af den nederste
halvdel 9.
Løft forsigtigt kontaktstiften 11 ud af husdelen.
Nu kan sikringen tages ud.
Bemærk: Hvis den tynde metalforbindelse
mellem de to metalkapper er afbrudt, er sikrin-
gen defekt og skal skiftes ud.
Pres kontaktfjederen 8bagud, og sæt forsigtigt
den nye sikring 10 i noten. Sæt nu kontaktstiftens
bageste kant på sikringens forreste metalkappe.
Når kontaktfjederen slippes, fikseres sikringen
og kontaktstiften i noten.
Skru husets øverste og nederste halvdel 69
sammen igen og sæt den røde udligningsmuffe
7på og drej denne fast igen ved at dreje i
urets retning. Nu er stikket klar til brug igen.
Fejlrettelse
Kontrollér ved driftfostyrrelser først om De har over-
holdt brugsanvisningerne til køleboksen rigtigt.
Kotrollér fortsat:
– Er tilslutningskablet tilsluttet korrekt, hhv. virker
cigarettænderen i bilen/stikkontakten upåkla-
geligt?
– Har du anbragt køleboksen således, at luften
kan cirkulere frit, og køleaggregatet kan venti-
leres?
– Er sikringen i stikket til 12V-tilslutningskablet i
orden?
– Kontrollér køleeffektkontaktens 3stilling på
forsiden af låget.
Hvis du ikke kan afhjælpe funktionsforstyrrelsen selv,
skal du kontakte vores kundeservice (se kapitlet
„Service“).
Rengøring og pleje
Brug ikke stærke rengøringsmidler til rengørin-
gen. Det kan resultere i materielle skader.
Træk tilslutningskablet ud af stikkontakten eller
cigarettænderen før rengøring. Ellers er der ri-
siko for elektrisk stød.
Rengør aldrig køleboksen under rindende vand.
Det kan resultere i skader på det elektriske system.
Fjern det elektriske låg før rengøring ved at
bringe det til en lodret position (90°) og deref-
ter trykke det gennem den højre bageste udspa-
ring (se afbildning A2).
Brug en tør klud til rengøring af det elektriske låg.
Brug en fugtig klud og en mild sæbeopløsning
til rengøring af køleboksens underdel.
Skyl de rengjorte dele med rent vand.
Indsæt låget igen ved at fiksere det i den dertil
beregnede udsparing på den bageste venstre
side af apparatet og derefter igen trykke den

Bortskaffelse
Emballagen består af miljøvenlige mate-
rialer, der kan bortskaffes på de lokale
genbrugscentre.
Du kan indhente informationer hos din kommune om
genbrugsstationer og deres åbningstider.
Elektriske apparater må
ikke bortskaffes med
husholdningsaffaldet!
I henhold til det europæiske direktiv 2012/19/EU
om udtjente elektriske apparater og dettes omsætning
til national lov skal udtjente elektriske apparater ind-
samles særskilt og bortskaffes til miljøvenlig genind-
vinding.
De lokale myndigheder giver informationer om
mulighederne for at bortskaffe et udtjent produkt.
Garanti
Kære kunde,
På denne køleboks får du 3 års garanti fra købsda-
toen. I tilfælde af mangler på denne køleboks har
du lovmæssige rettigheder i forhold til sælgeren af
køleboksen. Disse juridiske rettigheder begrænses
ikke af vores garanti, der beskrives i det følgende.
Garantibetingelser:
Garantifristen begynder med købsdatoen. Opbe-
var den originale kassebon på et sikkert sted. Denne
kassebon behøves som dokumentation for købet.
Hvis der inden for 3 år efter købsdatoen af denne
køleboks forekommer materiale- eller fabrikations-
fejl, repareres eller erstattes køleboksen af os – efter
vores valg - uden vederlag. Denne garantiydelse
forudsætter, at den defekte køleboks og
købsdokumentationen forelægges inden for fristen
på 3 år med en kort skriftlig beskrivelse af, hvori
manglen består, og hvornår den er opstået.
Hvis defekten dækkes af vores garanti, modtager
du derefter den reparerede køleboks eller en ny.
Ved reparation eller udskiftning af køleboksen be-
gynder der ikke en ny garantiperiode.
Garantiperiode og
lovmæssige mangelkrav
Garantiperioden forlænges ikke på grund af pro-
duktansvaret. Det gælder også for udskiftede og
reparerede dele. Eventuelle skader og mangler,
som allerede findes ved køb, skal straks anmeldes
efter udpakning. Når garantiperioden er udløbet,
skal udgifterne til reparationer betales normalt.
Garantiomfang
Køleboksen er produceret omhyggeligt efter
strenge kvalitetskrav og inden levering afprøvet
samvittighedsfuldt.
Garantien gælder for materiale- eller fabrikationsfejl.
Garantien omfatter ikke produktdele, der udsættes
for normal slitage og dermed kan betragtes som
sliddele, eller beskadigelse af følsomme komponen-
ter som f.eks. kontakter og knapper.
Garantien bortfalder, hvis køleboksen beskadiges
eller ikke anvendes eller vedligeholdes korrekt. Til
korrekt anvendelse af køleboksen skal alle anvisnin-
ger, der er anført i betjeningsvejledningen, overhol-
des nøjagtigt. Anvendelsesformål og handlinger, der
frarådes eller advares imod i betjeningsvejlednin-
gen, skal ubetinget undgås.
Køleboksen er kun beregnet til privat og ikke til er-
h vervsmæssig brug. Ved misbrug og uhensigtsmæs-
sig behandling, anvendelse af vold og ved indgreb,
som ikke er foretaget af vores autoriserede serviceaf-
deling, bortfalder garantien.
