Please read these instructions carefully and retain for future reference.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, always follow the basic safety
precautions below:
1. Do not touch hot surfaces, use the handles instead.
2. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse power cord,
plug, or appliance in water or any other liquid.
3. Do not operate appliance if it has malfunctioned or has been
damaged in any manner. To avoid the risk of an electric shock,
never try to repair the appliance yourself.
4. Do not use appliance for any purpose other than its intended
use.
5. Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes.
6. Close supervision is necessary when your appliance is being
used by or near children.
7. Make sure the voltage in your outlet is the same as the voltage
indicated on the appliance’s rating label.
8. Avoid contact with moving parts.
9. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the
manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
10. Always turn the power off at the power outlet before you insert
or remove a plug. Remove by grasping the plug—do not pull on
the cord.
11. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow
appliance to cool completely before handling.
12. Turn the power off and remove the plug when the appliance is
not in use.
13. Never leave an appliance unattended while in use.
14. Do not place appliance on or near a hot gas burner, electric
element or any other heated household appliance.
15. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or
counter or touch any hot surface to avoid risk of injury or fire.
16. After connecting the appliance to an electric power supply, the
cooking surface will begin to heat. To close or open the top
cooking plate, use the thermally insulated handle. To remove a
cooked waffle, use a wooden or heat resistant spatula.

5
POLARIZED PLUG
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the
plug in any way.
Power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of becoming entangled
in or tripping over a longer cord. When an appliance has a flexible
cord less than 4 ½ feet (1.4m) in length, the extension cord should be
grounding-type 3-wire cord and meet the following requirements:
The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should
be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance. The cord
should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter-top or table
where it can be pulled on or tripped over unintentionally.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY
CLEANING AND CARE
• Before first use, wipe the cooking plates with a damp cloth or sponge
and dry with a dry paper towel or cloth.
• Connect the device to the power supply and leave turned on for at
least 5–7 minutes to dissipate any odor. This is normal with many
heating appliances. This does not affect the safety of your appliance.
• Note: when first turned on, the device may emit a light smoke or
odor. This is due to the heating of internal components and it will
stop shortly. If it does not cease, unplug the device and contact the
customer service email at the end of this manual.
• When you are through baking, always unplug the waffle from the
wall outlet to turn off and leave it open to cool. After cooling, make
sure any excess crumbs or oil have been wiped away with a paper
towel. There is no need to disassemble appliance to clean.
• Clean the cooking plates with paper towels and use only wood or
silicone utensils to clean the smaller or narrow grooves to avoid
scratching the nonstick surface.
• Wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth only. Do not
clean the inside or outside with any abrasive scouring pads or steel
wool as this may damage the finish.
DO NOT PLACE MACHINE BODY IN WATER OR ANY LIQUID.
DO NOT PLACE IN DISHWASHER

HOW TO USE YOUR WAFFLE IRON
• Before the first waffle of the day, use a pastry brush to carefully coat
the entire surface of both halves of the waffle baker with vegetable
oil or melted shortening. Spray shortenings work very well for this
purpose. Repeat this only at the start of each day that you bake
waffles.
• Plug into a 120 V AC wall outlet. Allow the iron to heat on setting 7.
The indicator light will glow, indicating that the baker has begun
preheating. It will take approximately 5-8 minutes to reach baking
temperature. When baking temperature has been reached, the light
will turn OFF. The baker is now ready for baking. We suggest you
use setting 5 on your first waffle and adjust for the desired cook
of your waffles.
• When the light is OFF, ladle just enough batter to fill the lower grid
half full so that the peak area of the waffle pattern is covered. If
necessary, a silicone spatula may be used to spread the batter evenly
to be sure the corners are filled properly.
• Close the baker. Cover will rise slightly as waffles begin to bake.
Do not open the cover or the waffles may split. The light will come
ON during baking. When it goes OFF, you can remove waffles. They
should take about 3 minutes to bake. If darker waffles are desired,
let the waffles remain to bake another ½ to 1 minute. For lighter
waffles, remove in 2½ to 3 minutes. Remove waffles with non-metallic
fork or utensil.
• Always wait until the light is OFF before pouring batter. Once you
pour batter and close the lid, the light will automatically go ON.
Continue to bake. Then, when the light goes OFF, waffles have
cooked to the chosen level of browning and may be removed.
• If you need to take a short break, close the baker to maintain
maximum heat. A hot waffle iron produces the best results. Waffles
may tend to stick as the iron cools down. When you return to baking,
waffles will bake faster because the waffler has been allowed to
retain heat while closed.
• When you are through baking, simply unplug from the wall outlet to
turn off and leave baker open to allow it to cool. After it has cooled,
brush crumbs from the grooves and wipe off the grids with dry paper
towels to remove any oil or batter.

7
FOR BEST BAKING RESULTS
Try not open the waffle during the first 90 seconds of baking.
Try not attempt to remove waffles from baker until they are completely
cooked.
Stir waffle batter just until large lumps disappear. Try not over mix.
Crispier waffle may be made by first separating the egg yolks, blending
with flour and other ingredients, and then gently folding stiffly beaten
egg whites into the batter as the final step before baking.
RECIPE HINTS
Make your waffles special by serving with fresh fruit, whipped cream,
sour cream or yogurt. Sprinkle with nuts granola, coconut, chocolate
shavings for added texture. For a chocolate waffle dessert, serve with a
scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and stripe with your favorite caramel
syrup.
For a healthy twist, swap the flour with whole wheat flour, and use half &
half instead of cream. Then top with Greek yogurt and fresh peach slices.
